From the director of the Oracle games
Why did you have to go and murder OP like that?
I made both posts
It's truly insane that fricking passed alpha/beta testing.
Not even having a "favorites" bar for like 5-8 arrow types is insane. They spent so much time polishing the in-game function of TotK's new mechanics that they didn't bother to test the interface aspect of them. On that note, whoever approved the way Sage Powers work (except for Tulin's in the air) is a gaping dickhole too.
>don't want to use sage power
>they are in my face ensuring my next button press activates them
>I do want to use their ability
>they are off chasing butterflies
anon, one of the sorts goes by which items you've used the most. you're basically admitting you didn't play the game you're complaining about.
Which can change throughout the course of the game. Some are nice to have handy while not necessarily the most constantly used.
It doesn't change that much, they just get pushed away from the top, and that's fine because it literally means you're not using it often enough to matter.
Then Water Temple in OoT wasn't a big deal either since it was just one part of the game.
Why didn't he just re-sort by type?
Because sometimes the thing you want isn't near the top of the list.
>just keep using it and sort by most used
That's a bandaid fix. Why not let me just fuse in the menu once and then keep using it, like how the arrows worked in BotW?
>Because sometimes the thing you want isn't near the top of the list.
>>just keep using it and sort by most used
I didn't say sort by used. I said re-sort by type.
He could have just done that.
The item he scrolled to is at the top of the list, though. So re-sorting would've taken him to it.
Plus the item he started on at the bottom of the list has an identical effect, and is provided to you for the purpose of doing this dungeon.
>but what about sometimes when
Make a webm of the real scenario you think is a problem then, if you don't want people to point out this one is manufactured bullshit.
>list starts on the item that has the exact desired effect he wants
>4x King's Scales
vs
>23x Splash Fruit
What the frick were they thinking? Doesn't the D-pad also do nothing?
>>4x King's Scales
>BUT WHAT IF I NEED THEM LATER
You can get an infinite amount of them by talking to the King, and basically you're huge fricking moron if you don't use them within the dungeon you get them against the enemies weak to them.
So, how would you have done this exactly?, remember the basic condition, you have to be able to fuse arrows with every material in your inventory
see
That wouldn't have fully fixed it but it would've gone a long way to cutting down on tedium.
it's been said already. allow the player to use a bit more of the controller's functionality to have a set of saved arrow+item crafts
sorting just works, and by that point of the video, the moron should have been used a splash fruit many times before, o it woud be amog the first slots after sorting
snorting cocaine works too goon.
let me guess your list of favorites
>bomb flower
>fire/ice/shock fruits
>Brightbloom Seeds
>keese wings
nothing you wouldn't have at the first slots after sorting
Pressing up puts you on a smaller 10 slot favorites bar that you can assign from the menu.
>Sorting items?
>pffft, then how would i make moronic webms to spam over a year after the game came out?!?
>Game has a lot of items
>Game requires you to switch items
OH NO HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
>press Y
>press right twice
This is the worst thing about the game. Let us mark favorites you dumb Black folk
For the love of god just press Y. I understand that menuing is an issue in totk but it doesnt have to be THAT bad
LA HD gives you four buttons... imagine the Oracle games like this.
The Oracle games need a remake like the LA remake
This.
The fan remake, not the toddler shoe box experience smeared by post processing effects...RIGHT???
>The fan remake
If you’re talking about the hideous “widescreen” one that completely butchers the dungeons because you can “see” several rooms over, nah. Go frick yourself.
>playing fan made slop
AM2R is better than ANY Nintendo-made Metroid game. Also multiple OoT rom hacks that are loads more fun than nu-Zelda. Sorry, little fanboy. Sucks to be ignorant.
SMBX is better than any Mario after the n64, you are trapped in the mindset that things need an official stamp to be good
Nah, people just like to shill untalented asset hacking developers because "le nintendo evil" meme.
If I thought Nintendo was evil, I wouldn't play their games period. Some of us just prefer fan works. Like you should see my super metroid romhack folder.
Yeah nah, sorry. The fan remake is just alot better. The QOL features are absurd, much akin to how AM2R has a leg up on the official remake.
Both breedable
Imagine needing more than these perfect set of buttons, 4 buttons and beyond are a meme
just play the LA remake on switch. I had fun with it.
Better than the demake since you don't have inaccurate stick garbage to deal with.
For this to be a problem you need to have a crippling mental condition, considering you’re using the same items most of the time depending on dungeon.
It's a lot worse in ocarina when the menu takes longer to load and you have to take on and off the iron boots all the times but somehow nobody ever complain about that
>you have to take on and off the iron boots all the times but somehow nobody ever complain about that
>nobody complains about the water temple
bruh
>somehow nobody ever complain about that
this is like reason number 2 given when anybody recommends playing OoT3D over the original. It's a very common complaint.
>water temple
>not one of the most infamous complains in gaming
Even people who've never played Ocarina know about the water temple.
zoomer horror
The amount of inventory management you do in this so so tiny compared to a ton of Western RPGs including stuff Ganker constantly talks about as being 'best game ever'.
inventory management =/= having to pause the game every 10 fricking seconds just to switch items
>stop saying mean things about Nintendo games wahhhhh
LA gays will never own up to this anti-exploration design.
I played LA for the first time a few years ago and I loved it to death. Probably the best Zelda game.
But i've tried to play the oracle games plenty of times and i get bored pretty fast. How can this be?
Personally I think Seasons is straightforward enough to give you a similar LA experience but it still does have pacing issues.
Ages is a different beast though. Many places are a chore to get through especially the lizard race island, good lord.
I still think they're great. They're like expansions to Link's Awakening.
Does that really bother you that much?
Nah the game is more or less built around two buttons
