Good horror is about what you don't know and the limitation it imposes on your ability to see
and move around you exacerbates the feeling of claustrophobia and helplessness.
I actually didn't personally enjoy the game that much, I just like it from a design standpoint.

its okay, but way overhyped
i like the aesthetic and especially the atmosphere, the use of seeing everything around you through some dogshit camera is great stuff, but i think it takes WAYYY too long to get to the scary stuff. for the first hour of this game thats no more than 2 or 3 hours, you're really just wandering around doing what you're told, nothing interesting happens.
I'm mad that he's probably not going to do anything else with the setting for this game. He set up a really cool cosmic horror mystery, and what does he use it on? Dinky submarine.
