You don't have to play if you don't want to, Jim.
He actually does. Im forcing him.
I'm not convinced anyone actually played Spelljammer, either the TSR or Wizards version.
We played it for awhile. I liked it though the two oxygen envelopes surrounding each other thing was sorta hard to figure out at first
Yes, and if that doesn't excite you, you're free to frick off and play any other genre or game. Or, for a change, any game at all.
It's psudeo-intellectual garbage
So ignore it and move on
>dude just ignore this thing that will eventually poison and worm its way into things you do like dude! Don't think!!
SJ isn't poisoning anything and it's not pushing anywhere. 5e SJ is dead so you can sleep easy now, spergotron
Spelljammer hasn't influenced a single thing in the nearly 35 years it has existed. The 5e 'book' was so pathetically bare bones that no one cared about it.
You probably care more about it than anyone who actually played it at this point.
>Spelljammer hasn't influenced a single thing in the nearly 35 years it has existed.
Now that's harsh. It clearly influenced Dungeons the Dragoning
This post is the first time I've ever heard of this game, moron. What, did some SJ player steal your crush?
NTA but tourist spotted
I don't retain shit that doesn't interest me. I've been here since before /tg/ was a board, not that I need to prove that to you, nor would it make any fricking difference in this shit ass thread if I was a tourist.
If you were here since /tg/ was created you would have heard of spelljammer
It's an expression. Yes, probably somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain, there is a faint trace of memory from some shitty thread like this one talking about spelljammer. There are 80 million rpg systems and most aren't worth remembering. So yes, I've probably HEARD of spelljammer. Clearly spelljammer had nothing of interest to me, and was discarded with the rest of the fricking niche board games, wargames, and roleplaying games that I don't give a frick about. You're a moron who is objectively wrong.
>Tourist spotted
This is your contribution. Jesus fricking Christ dude, you're almost worse than the redditors
Just admit your a tourist already
You're* - another sign of your moronation
God I hope you're at least smart enough to sage this bullshit
>I don't care about spell jammer, SO HARD, that I made a rage thread about it, and called it pseudo intellectual, a word I do not understand
It's not my fricking thread moron, follow the posts back. I told OP to ignore the game he doesn't like and move on. You'd think someone insisting on calling others "tourists" could at least figure that out.
Are you this fricking moronic or are you trolling me?
Nice try tourist
Sure it isn't. Sure
Frick off
Wahhhh I can't come up with anything more intelligent than a moronic gerbil wahhhh
That's what you sound like, homosexual
Frick, keep crying. It's hilarious. Wah wah wahhhh, you sound like a child
I'm pretty sure Spelljammer came out before you were born. I can't even say I'd be surprised if it was old enough to vote by then.
Pseudo intellectual? Wooooo, get a load of this turkey. Stop posting
Alright as someone not familiar with Spelljammer outside of pictures please explain to me how its psudeo-intellectual garbage
>Pic Unrelated
It's not. Anon is just a bonafide moron
>don't like thing
>call it "le" thing
>heh, that'll show 'em
Bruh, what?
i think pseudo-intellectual would imply a degress of seriousness spell jammer lacks because it knows it's pulp it's not trying to be higher art
You are pseudo-intellectual, anon. You don't even understand the terms you're using.
>psudeo-intellectual
>these magic gnome spaceships are powered by giant hamsters
Yes it's psudeo-intellectual bullshit
Are you moronic or trolling?
It’s the opposite of pseudo-intellectual, it’s just plain dumb cringe slop for babies. It doesn’t attempt to be smart or intellectual in any way.
Okay tourist
Okay nogames YouTube secondary
>It's psudeo-intellectual garbage
You seem to have mixed Spelljamer up with Planescape
Planescape,Dark Sun and basically any dnd setting that isn't Grayhawk or Faerun are all psudeo-intellectual garbage.
Of all the tourist takes, this is the dumbest
Sorry you lack education
>psudeo-intellectual
The only pseudo-intellectual here is you. FFS, you can't even spell the word right.
Elaborate on what makes them pseudo-intellectual
They don't know, trust me
It insists upon itself
>FR
>Not pseud
Frick off, Ed.
Forgotten Realms is a vapid kitchen sink. It is as far from even pretense of intellectual as possible
>Pirate adventures are pseudo-intellectual garbage now
What?
You're a judeo-intellectual homosexual.
>he doesn't want to be a pirate ship that assaults a medieval castle atop a giant stingray scorpion with laser pistols
You do you but also frick you.
nice flying dungeon there bro
IDK about you but I'm running it as an Age of Discovery type deal with a bunch of spheres to find that I either made or stole, alongside intergalactic factions making eyes at drawing everyone into large scale war with actors behind the scenes trying to make it happen for profit
Exactly what I mean you sound like an woke psudeo-intellectual describing your shitty spell jammer campgain
NTA but what is your campaign?
Ok, lol. Sorry for trying to have fun, I guess.
>Why so you can shit on it out of spite?
You mean like you did? Lmao, of course you're a coward.
>It's just le epic pirate campgain... in space!!!
That sounds great though? Fantasy is at its best when it's weird and fantastical.
Because it invites freakshit and pauldroncore shit
Why so you can shit on it out of spite?
You wish you knew what the frick you are talking about but it is glaringly obvious you don't. What part about "stop posting" do you not understand, you fricking moron
Are you not shitting on Spelljammer out of spite right now? Come on anon, what kind of game are you playing? You aren't insecure, are you?
>freakshit
Thank you for using this early so everyone will know you have nothing intelligent to say.
This but said in a confident & masculine way. Not this gay ass soiboy shriek
I'm DMing a Spelljammer campaign, the players love it, they can try any kind of character and build without breaking the setting..
Also when things get stale, LMAO pirates/slavers/mind flayers/giant space monster, all of the above.
>It's just le epic pirate campgain... in space!!!
Exactly! What can be cooler than that?!
>It's just le epic pirate campgain... in space!!!
I will now join your game.
You guys up for an epic pirate adventure in space? I'm thinking about giving it a shot
I am
Can I be a Xixchil
How DO you run a spelljammer campaign?
The sheer amount of possibilities daunts me.
It's about the character types, moron. Goon Balloons are like the fatty flood in Halo.
The movie sucked too.
I picked up the original AD&D 2nd edition box set at a yard sale years ago. Has all the books and maps in great condition. We’re going to run it once we finish our current campaign.
Uhm, why do you hate fun Barry?
Yeah, and I’m having a great time as a blob wizard surfing the astral sea.
Worst thread I've seen in a while on this board. Thanks for the cancer, OP.
I like Spelljammer and I've been running it for almost a year. Have fun being bitter, cretins, I'm going to actually play games.
.. if only there existed a GURPS book for that.
Akshually...
Foglio you magnificent bastard.
>It's just le epic pirate campgain... in space!!!
Yes, exactly
Might as well sexualize this thread but how do you build a space cowboy in starjammer?
First you name him Maurice, as that’s what some people call him
>>It's just le epic pirate campgain... in space!!!
You're close to accepting the red pill. Space is a shit setting. It is literally just the ocean, but LE BIGGER. Planets are continents, space fleets use naval terms etc it's all there. Literally give me one (1) example of a space setting or story ANYTHING that can't be translated 1:1 to the high seas and traveling to different continents. I'm waiting. The ocean is everything space is but actually comprehendible, until you go deep and things get Eldritch. Frick space.
>space is a shit setting
What's with all these psudeo-intellectuals talking shit
