I've played it for over 5k hours in University, I'm done, but I have good memories.
I'd love to play a modernized Vindictus. No storyline crap, just coop dungeons with boss fights, camp fires, breakable armor, weapon polishing mid fight, etc. There's really nothing like it.

Now we get to the good shit, Armor Breaks:
You have HP which can be healed and Armor Points (AP). Once AP is gone, it's gone, unless it's "repaired" somehow, but they haven't explained it.
It's repaired once you leave the dungeon, but while you're in one you have 3 stages of protection: 100%, 50%, and 0%. Be careful! Once you're Armor is broken you take HP damage instead of AP damage. Other players can take advantage of you in this vulnerable state.

A fair criticism. Animations need to change when she's damaged too. It would be even better if her pain sounds change from grunts in armor, to girly squeals after armor breaks.

If anything, this is encouragement to do it right.
Add customization options for hair and eyebrows. Add clothes and undies that are exposed as armor is broken.
And of course polish the animations and focus on gameplay. This game has a lot of potential but it's reasonable to be concerned that it's just a cash-in. Long-term thinking is necessary. If the devs can pull it off, they'll have a real cash cow.
Vindictus also basically abandoned the feature like 3 years in where everything just dissapeared off your character entirely.
A shame, but it still had more armor break than this. Also, Delia's cooldown would break armor to the max so there's always that.

Speaking of which; would the trash enemies be difficult like in Nioh, or weak like in regular Vindictus? I always found the trash mobs pointless since you can steamroll them, making the boss the only threat.

I used to since I'm used to anime waifus having anime combat animations. Once I started modding Skyrim though it went away since attack and movement animations can be kind of slow.
