both Scout and Spielers are worthless.
The Yae battle in the storage room confirmed it to me.
Scouts are there for utility, only the sniper line has strong damage.
spielers are just trash until final tier of classes but get better and better after that (aside from soul summoners theyre bad).
That's the first casual filter. If you're having difficulties level a bit until 15 for class changes.

It's a game where attack and heal when needed don't really work. It's all about preparation and survival.

non-elemental spell that hits the entire enemy team.
Unironically the best sweeper early on.
Bishop has Rez and Circle Nurse. At level 8 it cures all status effects and stat downs. They also have Shine Curse and a mace attack that can lower defense.
Sage gets Bible Blow which is awesome, Dispel and Sleep. Identify is great utility if you don't have a Treasure Hunter. Prism Dawn is okay. They need a unique tomes to get both Res and Int on a weapon.
Both can have Circle Heal and Slow and both are nice to have.

DT2 is but has an uncensor patch.
DT2-2 is fine but has audio issues that also need a patch.
I wonder if the audio problem will ever get an official fix.

I hear a lot about 2-2 but should I play 1 and 2 before?
1 is unrelated and can be skipped.
2-2 is a direct sequel to 2.
So 2 should be played first.
1 is an unrelated story (and a spinoff of ToHeart2), and won't be in English until later this year.
2-2 on the other hand directly follows 2.
Anyone else have this graphical issue? The game isn't actually rendering in native res (4K) for me, and the text on the character names is also distorted on 2 (I assume for the same reason). It happens on both my desktop (Plasma Wayland) and Steamdeck. I tried the obvious things, desktop scaling settings, X11, forcing res in gamescope

I'm pretty sure it's not even 1080p, looks 720p at most.
I mean.. it's a lower budget Vita game.
Some of their assets, mostly sprites and CGs, are much higher res since they still had the original files, but a lot of the assets were still made for a screen that's 960x544 and never intended to be displayed at anything higher than that.
I have it running at 1080p windowed and then scale it up to 4k with Magpie, looks a bit better than selecting 4k in the game itself, but it still isn't really great.

Its a crawler, and a heavily anime one at that, so I'm not expecting much but I'm curious if one is at least decent.
2-2 is a continuation of DT2.
The story is nothing to write about but the character skits are very cute and makes all characters likeable.
