it really isn't. the lighting in diablo looks pretty shitty. wicked's lighting/shadows/ambient occlusion/everything looks way more advanced, and I bet diablo dips to way lower fps when the screen is filled with effects. and I also bet wicked's effects look about 20 times better than diablo's

"Hyped" is probably overselling it, but it does seem like a interesting game: Derblo-likes are generally fun timesinks and great for co-op, if done decently well, and I've heard NR5tW has additional resource managements like those "digging in the woods" FPS games, The Forest et al.
Gonna keep an eye on it and pick it up for ~20 bucks on a sale when it's been out for six months or so.

I'm playing on 3060 with performance settings. Runs fine so far (45 minutes of playtime) drops into 40s during cutscenes but gameplay is usually around 50-60, but that might change after the first area (will probably refund before I get there).

They really oughta stick to either the tried and true flask system, or a hybrid like DS2 did (flasks, but you don't have many until later + they are slow, but cheap/common consumables to help manage your health between checkpoints)

Can confirm, I've played a bit and the performance is whack for what the game looks like. I'm running a 4080 with a 10th gen cpu and fps is pretty inconsistent and dips fairly badly sometimes. The graphics options are basically non-existent and no DLSS in it either(option is greyed out, so maybe in the future). Buyer beware.

This game is designed to work on the Steam Deck at 30 fps. Why are salty third worlders screaming about specs? Steam deck is not a powerful machine. Unless you live in a literal favela you should be okay to run this at 1080p.

Its an online ARPG, you can play offline but online has rewards and shit for dailies and weeklies. MP is in the first major update and the game clearly already has a COMMUNITY chest for playing with others.
I think one of the reasons the game might run poorly is it will in the future be able to let people be spread out in the world instead of tethered or instanced.
