That was my biggest turn-off when I first heard about the game, reminded me of StalCraft and I couldn’t get into that game. However I bought it a few days ago and I don’t care anymore, the guns and attachments are cool and I like the game mechanics and how everything feels. Battlebit is actually fun, personally I'd prefer a more realistic look but the visuals are serviceable while giving me 120-150fps at 1440p ultrawide on maps with 250 people.
Battlefield 2042 had all of it's maps designed by people who had no idea what the gameplay implications were for actual layout of the map, the biggest changes they've made since launch are doing things like reworking the old maps to add really basic shit like cover for infantry to hide behind instead of making people traverse across enormous flat killing fields. The other big change they made to the maps was just to trim down the actual play area of some of them because the map layouts are mostly just vast expanses of empty space and they don't actually have team sizes big enough to warrant making the maps the size that they are.

The graphics aren't the problem, the sound is. The sound design is absolutely atrocious, at least with good sounds they could've balanced it out a bit but no it looks and sounds shit.
The actual design of the sound is not that bad, it's much more about the sounds themselves just being incredibly bad for a lot of things. Just look at the snipers for example. They all sound like fricking pea shooters. I bet they could just rip off the CS 1.6 AWP sound and put it on a sniper and it would would instantly feel 10x better.

I agree with this, although I will say that grenades seem to land silently if too many sounds are playing. I don't know if this is true for other things, but it becomes very noticeable when you watch a grenade fly toward you, land nearby, and not make any noise, even when it explodes.

There's a toggle in option where you can enable/disable your death microphone. I can't remember if it's on by default or not. A lot of people use it, because you can call out to your teammates where you got shot from, since everyone can hear the VOIP.

Literally doesn't matter, just like in a battlefield game there will always be a meta but the players using said meta guns are not very good at the game. The weapons are balanced enough that you won't do better using X over Y and you won't do worse using Y over Z, use the weapon you like.

The best way to balance that is to nerf medic/ buff assault and support. Right now medic has access to almost every gun and has the biggest advantage of self healing along with being able to quickly revive teammates and heal them (which allows you to save tickets). The only advantage assault has is the reload speed passive and grapple.medic should only be able to self heal a limited amount of times and shouldn’t have access to all weapons. Support needs a buff, but rn he’s sorta strong since you can throw 5 grenades, resupply, and repeat.
Just take SMG's away from medics. There's no need for a single class to have access to that many weapon categories to start with

Scar's big perk is 42 damage out the gate, but AK with mods gets that +better fire rate+ bigger mag size on quick reload
Scar is betters as a pseudo-DMR with full auto, while AK works more as a workhouse all-rounder
But of course none of this matters, if you want to win gunfights you go with Vector/Gorza
Yea it makes sense the modded AK is more useful than the vanilla Scar because I can imagine that they perform in nearly functionally the same way, but I suppose the only drawback of the Scar that can’t be fixed is fire rate, but going through trying to level vanilla AK would be practically fruitless when people are running around with vectors and augs so I figure makes more sense to use a weapon which will have better control overall at the trade off of having a lower fire rate compared to a comparative full AK 15
How are you using it? The recoil with 4x sucks unless you are using semi auto.
Stick to a red dot and use the URK grip with whatever barrel you prefer. It's a slow rumbler of a weapon so if your aim isn't on point it's not going to go well. You also want to keep a little more distance than usual because it's too slow to win against mag dumpers up close.

The main tool you want to use is vaulting, even if you are mid air you can "Catch" yourself on a ledge with a vault and take significantly reduced fall damage. If there is any other cover nearby you can simply jump off and do a mid air vault to stop yourself from dying. If you are on a cliff you can do the old mountain goat maneuvers from WoW where you tap jump and directional buttons to hook yourself onto terrain in little hops.

I can't give you a definitive answer but yes I do think the failure of BF2042 had something to do in Battlebit's success. In its current state is a 6/10 game for me. Map flow is shit, half the maps are just shit , weapon balance is shit, hud is shit with over 100 blue dots at all time for some weird reason and weapon swap is painfully slow and unresponsive at times.
With that said, I am still enjoying it more than the last 2 Battlefields. I am waiting for them to add more servers with the other game modes like TDM, Gun game and infection. Game has a lot of potential.
I hope they get rid of the blue dots on screen, it can get annoying. At the very least only show it when you get ‘x’ meters away from your Allie’s.

Anons, what's a good way to piss teammates off? So far I've discovered smoking my own team's campers. It started out as griefplay, but what happened will surprise you. After the smokes pop, they actually run towards the point and plant the bomb (Rush 32v32). Maybe they feel cornered and see no way out but forward? Also, when you blow up all your own buildings, the game becomes much more dynamic and fun. They won't be able to hide in one of the 14 windows if there isn't a building there anymore.

It's got a Ryzen 5 3550H CPU but I think it's the ram which is 8 GB but in reality more like 5 cause the system is using the rest. I'm gonna fix my actual PC soon enough and play it on that. my 1060 died 🙁

He's right. I have 8GB ram (2 GB over minimum) and the game crashes after 1-2 hours. I get 'windows is low on memory, close programs', then Explorer goes. Usually happens when a new map is loaded. Maybe the 4th or 5th one in a session

In Battlefront 2 there was the "Blurrg". A pistol wielded by a support role absolutely demolished everything else in the game. It was hilarious. The vector fits nicely between it and BF:Vietnam's hilariously overpowered gamebreaking M60.

SAW/LMG cuts down on your mobility, but if you're running exo armor you were a fatass anyway so you just have to play slow and don't be shy about mag dumping if you have to
