>I’ve never actually finished it
>I almost feel like there’s still no game more difficult than it. Every time I try to play it I end up getting 'Game Over' a few too many times and giving up partway through. Certainly after playing the original Zelda for the first time, I didn’t ever think that I wanted to make a game like that.
How did Miyamoto let this hack be in charge of the series?
I bet 99% of people who've started Zelda 1 have never finished it.
99.99% of people don't dictate the future of the series and base the current games on a shitty game he can't even finish.
Why do normies have "backlogs"? if you like a game you should play it and drop it if you don't have fun anymore
It's not that, they enjoy the game but get say halfway in and start something else. This repeats and when they come back to the game they restart.
Rinse and repeat.
It would be understandable if he said Zelda 2. That Valley of Death...
>13 year old quote
>quote literally twice as old as the average zelda fan
Goddamn.
He wanted a yes-man after Koizumi's meddling.
This explains why the only Zelda games I like are lttp, la, oot and mm.
He's a hack
Is it Aonuma's fault for being moronic or Miyamoto's fault for giving the series to him because Koizumi wouldn't stop making games that weren't at all Miyamoto-esque?
Both. But I blame Aonuma more nowadays, Miyamoto is barely involved anymore. Miyamoto also has generally better instincts when it comes to Zelda's core identity (Crossbow Training bullshit aside). Miyamoto's idea of exploration in Zelda is uncovering dungeons, Aonuma's idea of exploration in Zelda is copying other popular open world games like Skyrim and Far Cry 3.
>Yes-men when they have no man to yes to
I get the feeling this dude has the potential to forge some real ludokino, but Nintendo keep him around to act like some fricking clown in their Nintendo Directs, in what feels like a humiliation ritual. What's going on behind the scenes? Did he frick Miyamoto's wife or something? Let this dude make some fricking ludo!
>Link's Awakening gets remade
>finally I can play this cool old game
>shitty gimmicky toy graphics
why
Wtf is Miyamoto's problem?
Ego and a cutthroat environment where people like Koizumi technically pose a challenge to his position. So you undermine your colleagues with the power you have.
Zelda needs a total reboot. Wash away anything tainted by this halfwit frick Aonuma. Every entry after OoT have been growing exponentially more terrible. Aonuma doesn't enjoy the responsibility of being in charge of the series. You can tell he's one of those pussy-ass self-loathing japs that is ready to commit sudoku at a drop of a conical hat. We need someone with a samurai spirit. A dev who is confident like Oda Nobunga.
Every Zelda game is a total reboot.
Not really. Every game after OoT leans heavily on its plot and is filled to the brim with references. The timeline is a clusterfrick, and pretending all this shit is tied together hurts the immersion. When I say reboot, I mean throwing everything Aonuma ever touched in the trash.
I've been playing Zelda, and it's my favorite game series, since I was 8 years old in 2002. There is no timeline.
Good thing they trashed the timeline in BotW/TotK then.
>total reboot
It's called BotW and it was a mistake. ALBW was the one that actually did freedom well and they actually remembered to include real fricking dungeons too.
Hidemaro Fujibayashi ruined Zelda.
> BTW I'M NOT ERICtroony AND I DID NOT LOSE OR GET RAPED, FRICK YOU
Erictroony you lost and got raped.
The original Zelda was innovative for the time. Wouldn't necessarily call it great. Even back when I was 6 and playing it on real hardware I can still remember not enjoying it much but I was also 6.
You made this exact same thread with the exact same image yesterday. Just like the large majority of other threads and replies here.
Is there anyone left on Ganker who is a real person and not a bot or some shit?
You, anon. Nobody is truly conscious except you. You are utterly alone on this barren rock.
