The sun shield shows the divine towers, that are pre-Erdtree, so the sun in the sky is actually made by the Erdtree itself

Gravity has to do with "realms" too, you cross past a certain distance from a mass and you come under the influence of its gravity. Spells with objects being teleported in are dark purple.
