I'm breaking up with my gf and taking a two-week vacation so I can no-life Elden Ring as soon as it drops. I don't give a flying frick, this is gonna be magnificent.
Dragon's Dogma was such a shit game but at this point I'm so old (26) and jaded that I'll buy the sequel just to roleplay an all JC party with me as the only male and pretend they have all fallen for me

I've always wanted this. I always play through souls games solo but then do lots of coop/pvp with each build once I'm done with all the bosses. It's fun to see the characters that other people have made and the unspoken communication etc.
I think The Ringed City is probably close to what we can expect from the six "legacy dungeons" in Elden Ring. It's big and open (while still following classic souls paths), and good for COOP because of its scale and length of time it takes to get around it.
And then surrounding that type of area will be the open world/field that the player is free to travel around in and pick where to go, with smaller dungeons and secrets dotted around.
I really hope exploration in Elden Ring is rewarding. I know it's cool to shit on Skyrim these days but I loved the sense of adventure playing that game and finding random caves and ruins that lead to cool areas like Blackreach
Yeah but its a win win for me at least.
If the leaks were right and the game gets announced , great my favourite game of all time gets a sequel.
If it ends up being a big fat lie i can just kill myself and i dont have to carry on with that void in my soul.
Elden ring bros, what kind of build are you thinking of going for? I'm undecided between:
-stealthy dex build with bow
-heavy armor two handed sword knight with some magic
-sword and board with faith
Whatever is the slowest weapon i can find that still feels "right", lightest armor i can find that keeps me on the fastest roll possible while still having some fashion souls to it, i dont like going naked in souls games.
A bit of magic for some self buffs.
