What builds are you guys planning on running for the dlc?
I was originally going to do a carian knight/sorcery build, but I ended up playing that through just now cause I was tired of waiting. Also realized that although le bluedamage is fun, I don't prefer it over FTH and melee.
I havent done a pure STR build in a long time so I'm either going to do
>crucible knight weeb. Fight every crucible knight, get the armor, sheild, ordovious great sword, treespear, the few spells, etc. And go STR with slight support from FTH
Or
>blackflame monk. Godslayer greatsword and BF incants, using GS weapons as secondaries or alts.
Only problem is that I've already done a STR/FTH build, but that was a pyromancer using all types of fire. It might feel too similar, idk
Convinced me either way
I also want to do a bow only build, but I'm not gonna do the dlc with that first lmao, I'm not moronic
What are your hopes for the upcoming dlc btw?
completely generic knight with a physical longsword and kite shield, just like the main game, except i might apply some more holy grease to my weapon; i figure it'll come in handy for the DLC
if i can't best whatever comes my way with a sword and shield, i can't prove myself
I don't play Elden Goyslop, shill
>carian knight/sorcery build
This is the only build I will ever play because it is fricking perfect.
What is the build? Been meaning to try one
Pretty simple
>carian knight armor set
>personally I swap out the head for deer antlers or banana crown
>carian knight sword and shield(carian grandiur is based and having retaliation on the sheild parry feels kino
>either carian glint staff ubtil you reach 60 and can use the Regal staff from rennala
>you eventually use the Moonlight greatsword after completing ranni's questline and switch between that and the carian sword
>you can use rogiers rapier and halfmoon crossbow as alts for the aesthetics because they fit in pretty well with the build, but they're not necessary
>main carian, glintblade, and frost sorceries, eventually getting Adula's moonblade (you don't actually kill her, it's an Honorable duel and she surrenders after you beat her, teaching you the spell. Then she flies off to eat more mages or whatever she does in her free time)
It's aesthetically kino and my favorite build on that account, and feels good to play, but imo it's not my favorite in terms of gameplay. I just overall prefer faith
For a carian knight? Just enough str/dex to wield whatever weapons you prefer, thematic stuff would be carian knight sword, darkmoon gs, royal gs, etc. Then put everything else into Int. Vigor/Mind/Endurance as needed.
All your weapons hit like a truck, all your spells hit like a truck, you've got a great variety of spells since the melee sorceries are so good and they perfectly compliment your melee weapons; carian slicer in one hand with a greatsword or colossal greatsword in the other is extremely dangerous. Carian Knight Shield doesn't have the best guard boost but Carian Retaliation gives you the best parry frames and a counter to all the magical bullshit anyone ever throws at you. And if you don't mind branching out into non-Carian sorceries you've got Gavel of Haima to compliment your melee spells and plenty of other good ranged/utility spells to choose from.
It just has it all. Plus it looks cool as frick. And it even comes online really early since your main spells, the armor set, the shield, and the longsword are all found in Liurnia/Limgrave.
>I was originally going to do a carian knight/sorcery build, but I ended up playing that through
Indeed. I've played it through 3 times already, and I will play it again.
My Khomies
Man it's such a gorgeous sword
Wish there was a short sword/dagger variant of this sword design (with built-in Carian Slicer as a Skill) for me to offhand.
>carian knight/sorcery build
Based take anon, I'll be joining you.
TPBP, faithlets need not post
My build is the 99 in all attributes, using any weapon and spell I want.
Based. First thing I do on a new character is open a trainer and max out everything.
Half game with guts greatsword then half with gehrman grave scythe, i hope they add new good scythe in dlc
I want to do a holy reaper build where I use a scythe but primarily play support for spirit ashes and summons
RL1
unironically
I want to savor the game as much as possible
>RL1
Just use poison, frostbite and bleed until you can get a weapon with scarlet rot on it.
>level 1
>uses talismans etc to go past level 1
>level one
>activate godricks great rune immediately
completely useless , shows that you never did a single RL1
you will constantly die , so unless you're willing to farm rune or use CE , you'll usually shy from using any runes
The way Runes work is fricking gay, I never bothered with them even after half a dozen playthroughs. Wish it could have at least given you 20% of the effect passively while the other 80% is activated by the Arc or something.
Yeah that is a much better way to do it honestly
I end up just saving them for endgame bosses and use them all on malenia anyways
that would make them more or less a fifth talisman slot, but I do agree you should get some effect from equipping them
heck make it so that you're now aligned with the soldiers / mobs of the correspondent rune owner
Ought to be fun in pvp invasions
Black person it's literally the same mechanics but more varied as humanity, only it doesn't effect pvp (which it should)
>you will constantly die
Way to reveal your skill level, pleb lmao
it only takes one tap to die
i constantly have to rely on prawn , the shield talisman , the elemental resistance incantations and tears to make it 2 shots
I still die if I get stunlocked or hit with a mutli-hit attack , it's like you never tried this shit
I havent lmao
I'm just teasing you
I respect your going at it tho
I wouldnt have the patience for it myself but I really enjoy watching challenge runs and stuff like that
Every great rune past Godrick is just "more health" in some way. I never found anything other than Godrick's rune useful.
The +5 down the line is too good to use anything else except radahn if you reeeeeaaaally want to hpmaxx for reasons.
that's literally how it's done in every souls game ( except ds1)
if you stick to the base stats , you can barely wield any decent weapon , where is the fun of that
the main challenge of Sl1/Rl1 is that everything kills you in one to two shots by the mid game and you do less dmg overall
I plan on using a frostbite knight sword , and a fire infused lance just like the main game
I rarely use bleed ,poison or rot
I got a twink character with Hand of Malenia, Black Flame Tornado, and then I'm just gonna swap between poison and frostbite to cheese anything the DLC throws at me.
Hoping for some madness weapons honestly.
STR
Faith Strength
simple as.
Buy an ad you stupid fricking Black person
Are DEX/ARC builds any fun? I did STR/FTH my first run which was fun but I think these games are more fun without any access to magic.
Elden Ring is the exception, magic/melee hybrid is the way to go. I recommend staying away from Dex/Int and anything bleed related, they make everything too easy
I wish there was a stat that only gave support spells. Both FTH and INT have all-too-useful projectiles
if you like a strong character, yes. rivers of skill is still busted, as long as youre fighting something that can bleed.
I just did a dex/fth/str/arc build (dont ask) and can attest that a drake knight build with Regalia of Eochiad and twinbird kite sheild (matches the drake set in aesthetics) plus dragon incants is a fricking kino set up. RoE scales better with dex(though it's not very good) but you also have a heavy hitter with dragonclaw/maw. The skill of RoE is fricking based and the red glow matches with the red of the DC seal in your off hand when youve not got your shield out
My recent run was close to this, but more diverse since I also used FF incants and stuff. ARC is an underrated way to play and I definitely recommend it
>dex/fth/str/arc build (dont ask)
I've been meaning to do a run of any of the games with completely even stat distribution, so by the end i'd be at 25/25/25/25/25/25. Seems like it'd be fun
>lv150
Holy shit moron are you on ng++? Why even play
150 is normal in ds2 which was the last game I played.
Elden ring is 100-125
Unless you are skipping majority of enemies or deliberately not leveling up when you have runes you will be way past 100, well past 125 if you did any optional content.
Let’s count bare minimum progression
> Margit = 12,000 runes
> Godrick = 20,000 runes
> Red Woof = 14,000 runes
> Renalla = 40,000 runes
> Dracnoc Tree Sentinel = 50,000
> Golden Godfrey Shade = 80,000 runes
> Morgot = 100,000 runes
> Fire Giant = 180,000 runes
> Godskin Duo = 170,000 runes
> Maliketh = 220,000 runes
> Gideon = 150,000 runes
> Horah Loux = 300,000 runes
> Elden Beast = 500,000 runes
Total = 1,836,000 runes as bare minimum possible to earn in a playthrough.
That’s enough to level from 1-97, and remember that that assumes you killed 0 regular enemies and 0 optional bosses, you took the minimum runes earned route through game.
Thanks for proving you should be 100-125 unless all you do is buy levels and nothing else, most real players get every spell and armor
Do real players also run past every single enemy except the mandatory bosses that they googled and never collect anything outside of that path no matter what? Do they not pick up items ever and amass a metric ton of Golden Runes passively either?
Are you genuinely fricking dumb, dude?
Do you seriously play this game without engaging with ANYTHING thats outside of the core progression? Why even play it then? Just go play dark souls if you want a linear experience
If you ran past enemies and didnt methodically clear legacy dungeons before fighting the boss, what's even the point?
>100-125
No one gives a shit about PvP
when will you cringe ass homosexuals learn just because you don't care doesn't mean other people here don't
>here
Show me those pvp players anon.
Same bro. You guys have been bullied over it for almost 15 years at this point and you dont get it.
>Bullied
Imagine being this delusional. You pvp gays cry over literally everything
"WAH he ganked me!
"WAH he used THAT weapon!
"WAH he is overleveled!
"WAH he killed me!
You seem insecure
don't play the game the way that makes you feel this way if you need to defend yourself lmao, not my problem
You either skip half the map or die a lot, 150 is pretty normal. That's not even counting co op. If you send your sign out as you explore you're going to end up past 150 easily.
Cope
I'm lv155 on ng+5
My first playthrough I was 130 on Malenia and I leveled in 20 more times in 4 more playthroughs
Cope, shitter
150 is normal.
For playthrough 4 yeah
For NG also. You trying hard doesnt mean others care to.
I went back and leveled every time I beat a boss, I was over 150 naturally. You have to actively stop yourself leveling to be below 150, and people dont see the need to do that since no one is impressed with open cred shit.
If I was doing challenge run mindset I'd say 150 for NG+4 is pretty casual. But that isnt what it's about to me.
You not buying any items or spells and using everything for souls is pathetic
grow up, loser
don't defend your probably mimic using ass to me, kys
Kek so mad so quick.
>you are NOT playing the game the same way I did and therefore you are NOT doing it right
You can beat the game without leveling up at all
>109
You didn't beat the game. You leveled 108 more times than you needed to. Why even play at that point?
(I dont actually believe this, moron, I'm trying to illustrate a point to you)
>draws rykard as a sailfish snake looking gay
Guy was pretty hairy and old as a human.
Your point is terribly hyperbole because you're justifying farming albaunarics and using mimic
ydbtg
But I beat it so well that I'll say I best it good enough for both of us
bow go look up a fextralife guide on how to minmax :^) you don't want to be unprepped for the dlc!
Didnt use mimic a single time or farm ever
I explored more of the map than you did
No one is impressed by you
Literally no one cares that you beat the game at a lower level than the average
Enjoy this final (You) because you and your bleed build will not be getting any more from me on this topic
I won btw
You sure seem to care lmao
>I-I-I explored more than you
No u didn't + u used a online help + weren't immersed + farmed levels + ratio'd
I love Pietro Antognioni's art.
The second account is at Malenia at end game and is 109 lmao
Jesus christ, go farm albinaurics some more and cope
150 is completely normal for beating the game and doing a normal amount of side content with no farming
It's the standard progression
No one is impressed or cares that you beat the game at 120 or whatever
Cope shitter
>uhhh you ran through the game
I scowered every ounce of the map and bought every bit of armor and got every weapon, I have 270 hours in that playthrough b***h
Cope harder
you didn't beat the game, your mimic did
Post proof of this claim and proof that you did not cheat or download a save to achieve it.
The fact you think this is sad af
this type of game isn't meant for you 🙁
See
This is pretty big cope, anon. It's kinda sad you have to resort to this level of argument.
You were intentionally not leveling up. Others dont do that.
>replay bloodborne
>comes back to ER and everything feels medicore
help
it's too stretched anon
otherwise ,shit is kino
NTA and I skipped DS3 before playing ER.
I used to scoff at people saying ER is too stretched but after finishing DS3 I kinda get what those people are saying now.
The Great Kenneth Haight Mode
Five Erdsteel Daggers each with different Infusions/Ashes, Golden Order Seal
where the FRICK is the dlc
I'm going Dex/Fth because Deathroot will be weak to holy damage
There is no DLC the DLC is all a lie
Pot Build
Looking forward to new pots
DEX/FTH Whip now and forever.
The first build I'll be running is my first playthrough character which is dex lightning zweihander (I hate that lightning scales with dex, lightning is cool strength is cool I want a lightning str build), no ashes of war cause they're OP. I hope there will be some cool weapons in the DLC that I can try out later and I hope that the DLC is accessible early on enough that I can use said weapons for a full playthrough
>dual wielded coded swords
>holy themed light robes only
>talismans that just boost Holy Damage and Ashes damage
>all points in Faith, rest in Vit and Stamina
post talismans
I can only think of the scorpion, and the physick holy boost.
Nothing else gives +holy besides 1 aow
Marika's Soreseal (whatever it was called) and Two Fingers Heirloom both raise it because Coded Sword scales with Faith and exclusively deals Holy Damage. Scorpion like you mentioned too raises the damage type specifically.
This isn't a particularly good build mind you.
I'm just going to use the same build I beat my first playthrough on. Just ran through the game and quit after fire giant but before burning the tree since I think it'll be there or the miquella egg
>str/fth
>lv100
>long hammer bubble trumpet weapon
>ronin outfit
>madness spells and faith buffs
>no spirit ashes cause I'm not a gay
You beat the game with the bubble trumpet on your first run? Lmao that's so unexpected and strange I've got to respect it
Yep, always do str/fth first runs and got it to drop from first guy at entrance to leyndell and used it since
I respect it
It just seems like a meme weapon so it's unusual to see some one main it
I once saw a guy on YT make a build where he used the skill off the big bubble trumpet to one shot plussy in like 15 seconds lmao
>dat millicent
wait who is that very last one
>min int max str build with Giant Crusher
>roleplay a brain damaged idort who marries Ranni because she gave him funny bell that makes puppies
>has no conception of being Elden Lord and could give zero shits about that, just wanna smash things with giant hammer because it amuses him
>also his main motivation for fighting is to he wants to see how flat he can make something
>Thought the Radhan Festival was an actual festival and was thoroughly disappointment it was just a bunch of people jumping another brain damaged man
>Keeps trying to invite Hoarah Loux out for drinks but Puppet Ranni has to keep reminding him that he killed him
>Once strapped Puppet Ranni to the side of his hammer because he couldn't understand her fancy words and thought she was asking to join in on the flattening fun
>One shot Gideon during his speech
>Cried when he had to put down Blaidd
>has no clue what was going on with volcano manor to this day
>Tried to help rehabilitate the Dung Eater but the Dung Eater tried to touch him in a bad way so he smashed him
>Goldmask creeps him out
>Ranni keeps talking about how they're going to be alone for a very very long time at the end of it, so he bought a deck of cards to play go fish with her just in case it takes more then a few hours
>Gets told that Godwyn died in spirit and not in body so he took his hammer to his giant face. Lady tells him in horror it won't do a thing, but idk, it seems pretty dead to him now.
>Tells Malenia that her brother is now married to some horny guy... she didn't take it well.
Kek i absolutely love your roleplaying and story
I was planning an ungu bunga caveman build with min fth for beast incants and max str for big fricking club to bash things
I would skip over all dialog because too stupid to understand. Only understand smash with big stick
I'm going to summon my clone and then sit in the back and cast spells. Hopefully that still works so I can cheese all the bosses and see all the content.
Probably gonna go with my death knight build, but I also tried making a vampire build that uses sleep and blood magic but I abandoned him because there wasn't enough good sleep magic in the game, so I'm hoping the DLC will have a lot of good sleep stuff since it probably takes place in Miquella's dream world and his whole thing is sleep, then I can revive my vampire.
Bestial faith. I throw big rock and drop big hammer. I use roars only to dab on killed enemies.
Toot floot is the most soulful weapon and there is no debate
Double Barrel Shoutgun
Only if you dual wield them, same for the double small toot or the big toot times two as well.
>dual wielding instead of using a soulful jellyfish shield (since they nerfed the turtle shell in like the first patch like hoes)
No thanks
>minmax shield
>soul
Uhh, no dude.
If you don't have multiple builds pre-made so you can have fun with every new weapon/spell and replay bosses and the whole dlc again immediately what the FRICK are you doing with your life?
>str faith holy paladin human white male
gaming time
All these faith Chads posting pics
ludo
Maxed stats homie
Based
Frick following some little b***h meta just play the fricking game.
I'm going in with my 200 rl Paladin. I'm going to gatekeep ganksquad invaders on DLC launch so normies can play in peace.
the DLC is probably not even out of concept phase yet
Coming out next week, shadow drop on anniversary
trust the plan
as for me
dual monk flamebaldes
So awesome looking, so terrible. I was so disappointed I had bad rng and had to grind for like 3 hours to get a drop. Maybe I made my build wrong but women cleaver does like 200 damage more.
i got both blades in 40 kills or so
I mainly used flamberge for everything, I also tried halo scythe and godskins peeler
godskin peeler raped dragonlord and elden beast with l2 special
You lucky dog. I still use mine even if it isnt optimal it's too fashy.
I might fires of redmane it, dont know if splitting damage is smart on it though.
Split damage is always worth when trading for cool imo
Which is better bullgoat tali or grand jar with heavy gear?
I'm trying to up poise. I have 68 poise with bullgoat. 51 without (but new armor not tested)
More poise more gooder
Thoughts on the official power levels?
>Radahn is as strong as a Spiritcaller Snail
Radahn bros...
This is only because malenia gave him super aids and reduced his brain capacity to that of a snail
If this was precaelid nuke he would be easily at 499
This is just cope. A real warrior should be ready to accept any fight and any outcome, it's the fault of his own weakness if an enemy ever catches him unprepared or not at his prime. Only the weak make excuses.
Notably, radahn made no excuses.
Yes, he had a warrior spirit and was a cool guy. Sadly that spirit didn't make him the strongest or the victor in the end.
He had a glorious death. Melania dies alone, sullen and truly defeated. Radahn died a champion worthy of song.
She's not alone
I'm with her
I don't know if you know, friend, but Malenia most likely isn't even dead and she's just gonna come back even stronger. Also you're coping on Radahn's behalf again.
>malenia isn't dead
I mean you killed her and then (or before) unlocked the rune of death, permakilling eveyone you've killed that would have come back. I guess maybe it's different since she's in the flower? That just seems like a cope to me tho
Her whole thing and the gimmick of scarlet rot is rebirth, anon.
But will she bloom into a good sisterwife for miquella this time or is she gonna let him get kidnapped by an actual demon again?
She bloomed 3 times you killed her.
>blooms against mentor
>blooms against radahn
>blooms against player
Proof?
>But will she bloom into a good sisterwife for miquella this time?
Nah, Miquella will be killed by us after being mutated by Mohg's thick liquids and the only time we'll see her again is when we return a keepsake to her after which she whines about not being there for him again and cries forever.
Assuming they don't make Uber Malenia fight to ride the free hype train again.
>they couldn't protect eachother's smiles
🙁
Prosthesis-wearer heirloom
>though born into the accursed rot, when the young girl encountered her mentor and his flowing blade, she gained wings of unparalleled strength.
She only gets her wings when she blooms.
Proof she's dead, anon. We know she bloomed because it literally happened in the fight itself as the phase transition. The blooming is a sign of rebirth as we know from the Millicent stuff and Malenia in general. There's also this description,
>Each time the scarlet flower blooms, Malenia's rot advances. It has bloomed twice already. With the third bloom, she will become a true goddess.
That paired with the fact that a 4th flower spawns in the boss room after beating Malenia implies it is happening yet again.
She can bloom all she wants I just want her to stop her bullshit WF > PS > WF > PS > WF move selection (this exact thing literally happened to me last time I fought her)
The player kills her in the game. She is destined to bloom 3 times and has.
If she isnt dead she isnt blooming again.
The player doesn't kill her, there's no "GOD SLAIN" or "LEGEND FELLED". She will be an NPC and summon in the Miquella DLC
Is that true or are you memeing? I never notice because I'm too busy rolling my eyes and sighing in exhaustion after every win against her
She isnt legendary or godly.
Its true but means nothing. You get great enemy destroyed when killing fake mogh or fake morgot it isnt actually a foolproof way to see what is what.
It doesnt say it when you kill real mogh either. The game gets sloppy endgame.
>You get great enemy destroyed when killing fake mogh or fake morgot
Because "fake mohg" and "fake morgott" are clones, using the power of omen horns wraiths to reproduce and animate clones
You get no message for killing real mogh in moghwyn palace. It's just an inconsistency anon is trying to pass off as real proof.
If the whole system was foolproof you wouldnt get any message upon killing fake morgot or fake mogh at all since you didnt kill anyone.
Yeah. Millicent questline is literally about helping Malenia resist the rot and return her sense of self
And it's about a tragic failure in that regard unless the anon saying millicent will come out of the bloom if you put the needle in is right.
>And it's about a tragic failure
It isn't, the flower is ready to bloom again, and reacts to the needle. She still has to bloom actually. The difference is that thanks to Millicent she will bloom with her sanity
You've sneakily ended up agreeing with me. I'm both 3 blooms and millicent pops out if you did her quest.
You started against me then agreed when I added made up headcanon on the fly.
Lmao
I've been an outside observer to this chain
Well done anon
You're great
You get a rune payout and her rune. Shes dead. You can pretend she isnt that isnt a problem bro. Your waifu is your waifu people get it.
>You get a rune payout and her rune. Shes dead.
So Godrick also dies at the end of the boas fight?
No, the GR can be stolen without killing and "runes" are a videogaming mechanic. The whole point of Millicent quest is restoring Malenia's sanity
>The whole point of Millicent quest is restoring Malenia's sanity
Millicent dies and Malenia is still as insane as ever in her fight. Millicent fails, she just gets Malenia didnt have to. The conclusion you come to is malenia is fricking up on her own. A clone of her knows not to be that moronic but malenia never learns that.
>Millicent dies and Malenia is still as insane as ever in her fight.
You need to interact with her Scarlet Aeonia. This also gives Miquella needle, which will likely be necessary to start the dlc too
I didn't though. Her flower is alive, yields Miquella's needle, so it obtaind the Unalloyed Gold and react to it. The quest to restore Malenia's sanity is absolutely a success
>You get no message for killing real mogh in moghwyn palace.
Because he doesn't die either btw and is also a DLC character, unlike his clone. Godrick also gets no message because he doesn't die
Yes, godrick does die at the end of the boss fight. Not permanently until destined death is unlocked, but for all intents and purposes, when you kill a boss, they die
That's how the game works dude
>Yes, godrick does die at the end of the boss fight
He doesn't
Headcanon
>Can literally be found on the ground
lol
So can morgot after you fricking kill him
Does morgot give a thing when you beat him?
You do realize that NONE of the enemies you "kill" are actually dead, despite the screen saying you slew or felled them, until after you unlock the rune of death, right?
Except that he is dying, because unlike Godrick, he is graceless, and you don't need the Rune of Death to kill him
>you don't need the rune of death to kill him
Anon death is LITERALLY an impossibility without the rune of death all of the shitter mob, minibosses, demigods, etc. That you kill are not actually killed. They will be reborn/recycled through the erdtree because there is no death in the land. The only ones actually able to kill are the black knife co. Because they have a fragment of the rune of death
>inb4 morgot wasnt going to get revived because he's an omen
Then why did his body only turn to ash after you unlocked death?
>Anon death is LITERALLY an impossibility without the rune of death all of the shitter mob, minibosses, demigods, etc. That you kill are not actually killed.
Absolutely pants on head moronic. You didn't understand shit. The only people immune to Death are the demigods that Marika made immortal. The only people being resurrected are the Tarnished. All the rest, including Morgott, can and will die. The Shattering means that Souls do not return to the Erdtree as they are supposed to, so they are left wandering without guidance, clinging to serving lords. Even then, misbegotten or other creatures are absolutely not hollow
nta but why did margit appear 3 fricking times?
Because Omen with their horns intact can clone their bodies and split their souls since they are connected to the Crucible the host of multiple wraiths
Again, the evidence is stacked against you. We know the bloom = rebirth and that "blooming" is an action taken, not Malenia herself. Why on earth would she bloom for the last time, completely change to a new form and then bloom a 4th time to turn back into the flower for no reason? The clear implication is that after the third bloom she either shifts into a new existence that isn't just a demigod or that somehow she is going through another rebirth. Now that might mean that she's the rot itself or whatever, but that's a different argument.
>evidence
My guy you need to realize that you are speculating just as much as the other anons you are talking with are
Have you never learned that it's simply okay to respectfully disagree?
How have I not been respectful? You're denying my arguments just as much, we're just talking.
NTA but you are a little pushy. Honey vs vinegar type thing.
You gotta butter us up by calling us some sort of gay so we'll play footsies you cant go in unloving and expect a kiss on the cheek.
Sorry, next time I'll say the anons probably look great today and are using good vocabulary or grammar in their posts. And is that a new cologne I'm imaging you're wearing today?
I'm gonna kick you in the anon
Theyre looking heavy today
Keep it up
Oh noes not my anons!
>And is that a new cologne I'm imaging you're wearing today?
More like musk. It's how I weaken my prey.
I simply must say, anon, you seem rather potent today. Why, I can nearly smell you through the screen. You little rascal, you!
>are you the new potentate?
I didnt say you were being, friend, also I wasnt the guy you were talking with, I have no rot dog ashes in this fight
I'm just trying to point out that both of you make valid arguments and that your evidence isnt stronger than his because both are rooted in interperatation
You sound autistic so I'm going to disregard you.
See
>>Each time the scarlet flower blooms, Malenia's rot advances. It has bloomed twice already. With the third bloom, she will become a true goddess.
It's about the 3 blooms which shes done at this point. Her fight with the tarnished was her mythical goddess of rot and she still loses.
This. It literally says "goddess of rot" on her health bar. BUT the fact there is another flower there does hint that she might be doing it again, but that's speculation at that point.
I'm a radahnstan, but I want malenia to have a happy ending with miquella, so I hope she does live and come back again
Watch an uncorrupted millicent come out of the bloom if you put her needle in it in the base game.
Melania gays cucked, millicent rags rewarded.
blah blah
the body of miquella doesnt matter
the physical location of these things dont matter, everyone is a spirit. Thats why burning the roundtable hold the spirits have to evacuate or die, and only your chained bound blacksmith stays. ranni hops bodies, sellen hops bodies. cocoon dont matter.
It's not easy to hop bodies tho
Ranni literally killed herself to do it and sellen was unable until she had (You) move her primal glintstone into a sex doll of her
They cant just do it willy nilly or else miquella would have escaped mogh by now
>malenia stronger than mogh
Why couldnt she save miquella, bros?
That's a rune payout it isnt based on power.
The actual power scaling is all borked up. To From dragonbarrow is intended for after farum azula. Its wild they consider it it's own zone separate from Carlos, then its wild its scaled for AFTER farum.
I've never seen or heard of someone playing like that.
Radahngays eternally BTFO
Power levels are hype no matter what anyone says.
>none of them have a power level over 530,000
pathetic
STR/FAI with Blasphemous Blade and Fingerprint Stone Shield.
I have no shame.
Blasphemous blade = ydbtg
>no shame
fair enuff, soul
99 str
60 vit
0 int
well meme'd, reddit! but you can't have 0 int.
What's the matter, wizard boy? Did I offend your intelligence?
INT has always been the beta way to play
you either go full str or str /faith if you're a Chad
Strgays pretending to be chads will never stop being funny, especially when 90% of them use the same braindead Guts Sword + Lion's Claw combo.
Found the INT b***h who hides in rooms where enemies de-aggro to shoot them with spells
Str is big bonkers now. Frick having edged weapons its time to pound the meat the way I like it.
Wrong, I play Golden Great Shield and Frost Great Mace. Guard countering everyone and everything into submission?
>He doesn't summon swords with his brain
Pathetic
STR is the most braindead carried way to play this game.
you're just upset that the smartest way to play is kill your opponent in one giant club smash.
Tactics and skill mean shit when, by the time you have computed the optimal strategy to win, you could have just giant clubbed them to death.
This.
>BONK
Enemies still have NO response to this after 2 decades of this genre existing
The virgin int/dex build:
>"Ahh, I knew you'd come. To stand before the Elden-"
>*SPLAT*
The chad STR build:
>"Why all knowing man not know that coming? Is he stupid?"
My recent run as FF enthusiasts
>ahh, I knew you'd come. To sta-aaahhhAAAAAAHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH MMYY EYYEESSS MY EYES ARE MELTING WHAT THE FFFFUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK I DON'T UNDERSTAND AAAAAAAACCCCKKKKKKKKKK
Anons can quibble all they like and fight over the scraps, but Frenzy build is objectively the most kino.
I like how that's possible
>"""All knowing"""
>Gets Cosmos Fiened'
>"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!!"
smooch
No that's just endure lol. Endure + raptor talons + bloodflame blade is even more braindead.
Endure fast swapping is really fun.
the ai is braindead
i play according to how the enemies respond/respect my damage.
if they are gonna stand there or mindlessly walk into me, why stop swinging
especially if they cant stop me.
Passive poise doesn't exist anymore, if you tried that webm now you'd get stunned after two hits
Passive poise is unchanged for pve
was playing dragons dogma and took the sorcerer build and actually having a fun time, i think i might start a sorcerer build after i finish dragon's dogma for elden ring but is it fun in elden ring tho? the only other time i played magic was back in ds1 as a paladin build which didnt get good until like anor londo
It can be fun but it's fun in more of a long range steamroll kimd of way. There's not as much variation with your spells (fth has holy, fire, dragon, etc) so most of your things do just end up feeling like different shades of blue damage. But I wont lie, it's fun to plant yourself far away from a big enemy, cast an aoe buff for 35% more damage, throw up some fable II style floating swords above you, and pull back a spectral bow that will gib them for a third of their health bar. Then you can watch them struggle to get close as you chaincast spiral or comet and when they get close enough, your floaty swords decide to gift them 9 new buttholes. That being said, it can get boring over long periods of time, but if you go in expecting/wanting to be vastly overpowered, you'll have fun. Also lean into spellbladeing and you might have more fun as you'll not ONLY be doing magic damage
>What builds are you guys planning on running for the dlc?
im planning on being bored for about 50 hours as i replay the base game to setup, then remain bored into the expansion. the music will remain bland, enemies poorly animated, but there might be a nice sunset. we'll see.
A run of the game after your first should take like 20 hours if you're just doing main story
you can do it in like 3 hours if you're rushing
You people can't stop outting yourselves
i like to explore and collect everything
usually with souls games i do a bunch of playthroughs and know exactly where every item is. then i could blast through and grab everything really quick. but my first playthrough was so long and boring while clearing every dungeon, and my exploration basically broke every quest, and i was so over leveled even when i dumped points into stats i wasnt using... and bosses kinda boring and too easy... i never did a second playthrough.
id have to go through it all again as a refresher.
>You people can't stop outting yourselves
outting myself as what?
elden beast is the only good music in the game, then it swims away and the music stops and ruins the mood. the game.
Yes, most people like to explore on their first run
But that has nothing to do with a second run to run through the game to get to the dlc as you bluntly said, idiot
20 max
Why are you replying to it?
>outting myself as what?
Don't even bother
There's a poster that just accuses everyone who disagrees with them on the lore or criticises the game in any way as a discord troony who is "raiding" the board with talking points or whatever
It's best to just ignore him and move on. Nothing good will come from interactions
will do
We all do that
>he used summons
i was the summon :3
I'll definitely be doing it with a melee spellcaster hybrid to be able to check out the widest possible range of new spells/weapons, my int/fth build seems perfect for that
Ornamental swords to Guard counter/fast stabs + Jar cannon just for random fun until I find a new scythe/twin blade in the DLC and respec for it. roleplaying as some sort of treasure hunter
maximize damage and spam jump attacks, that's my "build". everything else is excess bullshit.
I want to try a crafting/perfumer build, but it seems kinda autistic and maybe not fun.
I tried it but farming materials for the aromatics is boring
That's the one thing stopping me from doing a bow build
Arrow gathering just seems like a massive pain, especially if you end up losing to bosses often
You can just buy arrows with your money since farming souls is easy (just use bone arrows from the infinite goats near the castle early on)
Sure, but what i mean is that's just extra time you have to spend doing that to try bosses again if you run out of arrows
With other builds you can just walk right back in to the arena because there's no consumables your build depends on
You're not running out of arrows by dying to a boss once
No, but multiple times, sure. The amount of time you have to spend farming for materials or spending runes on arrows definitely isnt enough to be game ruining, but I'm sure it will be annoying
It's really not but if you want to have infinite rot arrows or something / they nerfed runefarm spots yeah it can be
Trying to use throwables / perfumer shit is what's a real bother to do and I recommend backing up your save before bossfights in that case so you can just retry
Pure str w/ greatsword and giant crusher
Pure dex w/ zweihander and dragon king cragblade
str/int w/ royal gs and dmgs
quality/arc w/ bleed zweihander, bloody helice and mohg spear
So many overleveled gays insecure and defending themselves itt 🙁
It's okay, you don't need to justify it 🙁 they made ER have an ez mode for you 🙂
bow-only dex
Tried an INT build, wasn't fun.
Back to old faithful I guess.
use niche spells instead of "arrow but is magic #2"
the mining spells that make drills and shit are deceptively strong, bubble spells too
Miquella is still alive and you're gonna fight him reunited with a newly bloomed Malenia as a duo fight in the DLC.
>malenia's hits also heal miquella
Oh, cool! More cancer!
Barbarian with that Beastmen Cleaver.
I'll just steamroll everything with the ordovis greatsword like I always do.
Gonna probably do a crucible knight build with this
It depends on what the dlc will be tho
I'm just going to continue playing the Int/Fth Sword of Night & Flame build that I beat the game with. I'm going to go straight into the DLC since I assume this will be possible, if not I'll probably go into NG+ first and then into the DLC.
I wanted to try an arcane only build but I don't think arcane is good at all
Follow this build and you'll have fun
I posted it earlier in the thread but I'll say it again cause I think it's neat
>drake knight
>draconic communion incants with the seal
>these scale with arc and have heavy damage, especially the physical dragon claw and maw
>Regalia of Eochiad. Scales with arc and you can choose between str and dex. Skill will do insane damage because I believe that scales with arc, too
>twinbird kite sheild matches the sword in aesthetic
>drake knight set can only look good with an arc build anyways, and it does genuinely look like you're turning into a dragon with wings on your back (swap out the silly helmet with any hood(black knife hood looks great with the rest of the gear))
Oh yeah I remember shield is actually a good weapon. Maybe I'll try arcane and shield
none, ill be playing DD:DA2 instaed.
Bows always served me well as an extra weapon when getting STR/ and some dex. Its always useful to hit those hanging hands, to aggro and pull a mob away, or buy a bunch of poison arrows and 99 normal arrows and just cheese a boss (like the big rot tree thingy in leyndell ). But I'd never do a challenge run of bow only, its still a melee game at heart.
Golden Order spells/weapons only.
Deadcucks stay seething.
Unlike the other games, they fricking nailed FTH, so I'm gonna do it again. Since the setting implies a fricked up Erdtree I'm imagining some sick as hell incantations; probably more of Crucible related shit.
How does Malenia bloom so easily in the middle of our fight? Didn't she have to be carried away by Finlay after blooming on Radahn? Not to mention that the whole GODDESS OF ROT transformation was kinda underwhelming.
I was too busy looking at her booba and got killed instantly while trying to clean my desk of the instantcum
She took the needle out against radahn and never put it back. Shes been holding the bloom back instead of letting it happen. She gets desperate and let's it bloom her instead of fighting against it any longer.
To add on this, I'm starting to think it wasn't a real bloom at all, and that only after her death we see the beginning of her 3rd and "final" bloom. Her 2nd bloom gets her the entire destruction of Caelid and brain damage, while her supposedly ultimate ressurrection to finally become the Goddess of Rot gives her... wings? It feels weird.
brain damage on Radahn*
Do you guys think malenia and radahn took breaks from fighting to just frick hardcore for a few sessions when they were bored of battle??
Why were they even fighting when they could just FRICK ??
First 2 were uncontrolled.
I think the goddess of rot is showing shes fighting against it. By the 3rd bloom into goddess she isnt fighting the rot at all now it has made her vaingloriously drunk on its power.
Im going to make a new character and go sword and board then go to the DLC as soon as would be natural, ie if the entrance is in liurnia ill get some smithing stones in that area then go do the DLC.
Depends when it releases. If by some miracle it releases this month, I will just continue with my current character which is a strength build.
If it isn't coming for 6 months or even longer, then I'll start a new character that will be an Intelligence build since I haven't played with magic in this game yet.
I have a double UGS strenghtard at lvl 70, a sorcerer at lvl 50 and currently doing a dex/int build, sitting at 85. Also have a FTH/STR paladin at 125 with Elden Beast killed but not in NG+ yet.
I like to have my options open to see what level the DLC is supposed to be, but I think it'll be late/endgame progression
80 Dex/35 faith for Scarlet Aeonia, Pest Threads and Poison Mist.
Zero synergy. Don't care, I'm going to rot everything away in the DLC.
>What builds are you guys planning on running for the dlc?
Blasphemous sword goes brrrrrrrrrrr
I'll try all the cool new DLC weapons and spells, build be damned.
>arguing over a shit nothing character like Malenia
lol
Welcome to Ganker newfren.
Malenia will never waterfowl you with kisses and you dont deserve it for calling her shit
Please leave my thread
99 arc dual occult whips
I'm just going in with whatever build I have when the DLC comes out. Not going to overthink it too much. Currently, I'm doing a battle mage thing. If the DLC comes out suddenly tomorrow, then I guess I'll do it with my battle mage.
I'm contemplating what my next build will be. I haven't done a quality build since Demon's Souls. So I might just do that. It will be nice to try out all those weapons I typically never use, because the dex and str requirements are both too high. And greatbows. I'll be able to wield greatbows. That'll be cool. Maybe a great lance. If the DCL comes out during my quality run, then I guess I'll use that.
Also, I think the DLC is going to be bigger than any of us imagine. We're so accustomed to DLCs being in isolated segments of the game. But I have a feeling that Fromsoft is cooking up something that will rework large portions of the world, as well as adding a new zone. So it may be that one would want to begin an all new character to make the most out of the DLC.
At one point they stopped calling it a dlc sand started calling it an expansion
I dont want to hype myself up for it, but I would be overjoyed to get ER 1.5 instead of a dlc
Which weapon type is the best for a faithbuild?
There's at least 3 different pure faith builds
You need to give me your stat spread
I wanted to try faith and dex, but it doesn't seem worth it. Right now I'm lvl 98 using godskin peeler with electric armament, 40 vig, 20 end, 20 mind, 17 str, 24 dex, 40 faith
Coded Sword
Scythe is coolest
BALLS
i use claymore for every first playtrough.
I really hope we get good non FAI Strength weapons. I want some good magicless unga bunga delicacies.
Magic is for heretics. Pure melee.
Is level 220 gonna be too high to have a challenge in the DLC? I'm in new game plus 4
You could be Level 1 or Level 713 and it would hardly make a difference.
99% of your power comes from leveling up your weapon. If you want a challenge, do it with a low level weapon.
TELL ME ABOUT HYETTA
WHY DOES SHE EAT THE GRAPES?
Depends on your stat distribution. If you feel like you're overleveled just respec and use points on a stat that's useless for you current build
I'm just going to bring my super high level taunters tongue dude and hope the DLC content is hard enough he feels any semblance of challenge.
>maxing VIG
You're dead to me
The build where I press a lot of circle and a bit of R1 like usual
I don't know that other builds exist tbh
I think I'm gonna do some dex/fth thing with the swordspear and some lightning affinity
i havent played elden ring yet, but i love me some long ass weapons. halberds, spears, long katanas, shit like that. what weapon and build is for me?
STR DEX with more Dex than Str. You'll love the Guardian's Swordspear, it's a halberd with a cool sweeping moveset and extremely strong S scaling for DEX when Keen infused
>mfw dlc is full of enemies resistant to holy damage
BONK
I’m playing this game after a long time, and it really looks like I’ve got a lot of the map filled up. But I’ve only been underground in what seems like two different locations, and I don’t remember ever seeing the Volcano Manor the characters have brought up a couple of times. I don’t really know where to explore
Rya will take you there once you reach the altus plateau lift or you can get killed by the iron maidens beneath the raya lucaria academy to get teleported there
Oh I forgot to say it, but thanks.
>turned my very first character into a level 200 invader
>actually enjoying him a frick ton
>he's completely overpowered for pve and shits on the entire game
Still gonna take him to DLC
60 strength, brick hammer, 40 faith and lightning miracles.
Same as the main game, really.
>What builds are you guys planning on running for the dlc?
Nothing, I won't be playing DLC for an already bloated game with too much to do. Elden Ring burned me out of Souls formula.
>What builds are you guys planning on running for the dlc?
full pyro 250 lvl
Continuing my Str/Fth build from release, going to be glad to finally go to NG+ when it's done.
I have a NG+7 save at 50 STR 50 DEX and 80 FTH/DEX/ARC. I modded enemy HP to be higher while making their poise dmg resistance a bit lower (like NG+5 levels) because you can't really poise break enemies anymore on NG+7 and that's lame. Despite having 80 in all caster stats I don't use mixed stat casting tools like the golden order seal, that would be boring, I use Erdtree Seal and the Rennala staff. I also have upgraded all unique weapons to +10 (partly legit partly using CE) and I switch weapons basically every other encounter, keeps it fresh. Can't wait for the DLC.
Strength, Long Sword, Great Shield, Square Off Ash of War, a Mace for secondary weapon, some support incantations and a Bow for when a need range, pick Vagrant Knight, never change armor
I made one for each primary damage stat.
>Strength: Red Oni using greatclubs and colossal weapons.
>Dexterity: Mannequin that can only dual wield the same weapon in each hand, and only ones the enemy versions use or weapons that are visibly rusty.
>Intelligence: Ascetic monk that uses all the death weapons as casting tools in place of actual death sorceries.
>Faith: Azula cosplay, pure caster that uses giantsflame incants, blackflame as her "blue" fire, and ice lightning.
>Arcane: Filthy fricking rot druid with a Pest's Glaive, mostly rot/poison based but also uses bloodflies for that swamp feel.
I might make another Intelligence one though since the Monk doesn't really use spells and it'd be nice to have one that does, not sure what I want to do for it yet. Any ideas?
>equip shield
>equip cross naginata
>poke everything to death

>unironically planning to use base-game weapons for the DLC
