It's amazing how many people somehow failed to understand that Jensen was always going to die in Panchea.
He's at the bottom of the ocean. He's just destroyed the super advanced computer keeping the pressure regulation systems intact. Suicide is to ensure nobody else gets out alive before the inevitable collapse.
>Do what Cyberpunk 2077 couldn't
Oh please don't. Deus Ex was never a franchise destined for open worlds, it pioneered the "one city block" design philosophy of Warren Spector. You literally cannot make a Cyberpunk 2077 game and have it be called Deus Ex.
Hong Kong, Hell's Kitchen, Detroit, and Hengsha are all only a couple of blocks wide and yet feel more alive, more atmospheric, more dense, and more meaningful than almost every open world game combined. Open world is a shallow meme, ESPECIALLY Rockstar open worlds which exist to be background scenery for their hallway-linear movie games for morons.
>beautiful golden tinge of the neo-rennaissance around which every texture and shader was carefully designed >"ugly ass mexico yellow filter"
Wrong on all accounts.
I love when you’re given a mission to approach a specific location and do something there, and there’s actually more than one way to skin that cat, up to and including “oh, I already burgled that guy and read his emails for no reason, here’s the code you wanted.”
A lot of open world games try to take away your mission options, sometimes even failing the mission just because you tried to take a different route.

For one, HR has more varied hubs which gave the impression of an epic globe trotting adventure like previous games, MD mostly revolves around Prague with few different missions in other places. Honestly I prefer focused experience with big elaborate hubs like MD but I get it.
mankind divided improved on pretty much everything about human revolution aside from having a proper ending
i cant in good faith say that HR is a better game overall even despite MKD ending on a cliffhanger, because MKD is just better in every way that isnt that
Even with Montreal gutted HR is a far more complete experience. MD also has more balance issues like being able to stack a billion health pack or jamming half of HR's weapon arsenal into augs no one ever picks while adding barely any new guns of its own. Most of the gameplay loop involves sifting through identical looking slav offices and apartments and the infiltration mission level design is sorely lacking. Like that Garm base or whatever that's two square warehouses connected by a tunnel or the doomsday cult being an apartment complex you can just immediately jump through
The unanimous argument with MD I recall was that it ended right when things get interesting. I feel like it can only go up from there now that we're in the 'shit hits the fan' angle of the timeline.
>ham-fisted BLM allegory Turns out the hamfisted allegory was part of the plan from the bad guys in the game to perpetuate divided views, hence Mankind Divided.
It's like that purposely in a meta way. It's not actually promoting BLM.
You should definitely play it if you liked human revolution. The campaign isn't as good, but it's still worth a playthrough. The part of the game that shines is the sidequests. I think some of the best side missions in a Deus Ex series are in Mankind Divided but it gets drowned out by the campaign that was rushed.
>August 2022: "We make game better than Cyberpunk" >June 2023: "Our current staff of 17,000 will be lower by the end of the year"
Off to a good start. Good luck, amigos.
Don't be a homosexual, anon. I know it's difficult to do. DX doesn't need to be changed because real life didn't pan out that way. No science fiction does.
good nu doos ex sucks, I didn't buy mankind divided and I won't buy whatever monstrosity they try to turn it into, maybe try bringing in some of the original developers to make it and I'll try caring.
If they're going to do another one they better step up their writing game. The augs racism shit is such a shit story convention to explore the world of dude sex.
he died at the end of HR, make a new character
Sorry, that wasn't a canon event.
It's amazing how many people somehow failed to understand that Jensen was always going to die in Panchea.
He's at the bottom of the ocean. He's just destroyed the super advanced computer keeping the pressure regulation systems intact. Suicide is to ensure nobody else gets out alive before the inevitable collapse.
>he doesnt know
I'm tired of the open world meme. Just give me a qt pilot who takes me to varied and colorful locations whenever I want.
Hong Kong, Hell's Kitchen, Detroit, and Hengsha are all only a couple of blocks wide and yet feel more alive, more atmospheric, more dense, and more meaningful than almost every open world game combined. Immersive hubs are king.
despite the ugly ass mexico yellow filter over everything deus ex hubs are KINO as frick
>beautiful golden tinge of the neo-rennaissance around which every texture and shader was carefully designed
>"ugly ass mexico yellow filter"
Wrong on all accounts.
intent and execution are two different things
the piss filter was crap
You’re absolutely correct.
I love when you’re given a mission to approach a specific location and do something there, and there’s actually more than one way to skin that cat, up to and including “oh, I already burgled that guy and read his emails for no reason, here’s the code you wanted.”

>take the Bank Heist because the VersaLife Vault is literally the only thing in the bank you can't do without a plot item
more like deuce ex
more like dude sex
>Do what Cyberpunk 2077 couldn't
Oh please don't. Deus Ex was never a franchise destined for open worlds, it pioneered the "one city block" design philosophy of Warren Spector. You literally cannot make a Cyberpunk 2077 game and have it be called Deus Ex.
Literally every deus ex level is an open world kys
There is no moment in CP2077 that I didn't go
>Damn, this game would works so much better with a hub like Deus Ex
>do what cp2077 couldn't
>die even before the production of the game begins
B...Based
more like Woke Ex
Sometimes things are better off dead.
Sometimes dead is better
Just make slightly bigger hubs than Prague and i'll be happy, you don't need to have open fricking world in Deus Ex.
Prague was already frickhuge and packed with so much shit it would take tens of hours to find half of it IDK how that isn't dense enough.
Hopefully it Embracer dies, some other publisher buys up all their IP.
Anyone else like human revolution more than mankind divided?
For one, HR has more varied hubs which gave the impression of an epic globe trotting adventure like previous games, MD mostly revolves around Prague with few different missions in other places. Honestly I prefer focused experience with big elaborate hubs like MD but I get it.
Most people do.
mankind divided improved on pretty much everything about human revolution aside from having a proper ending
i cant in good faith say that HR is a better game overall even despite MKD ending on a cliffhanger, because MKD is just better in every way that isnt that

Eidos does what Poland don't.
It's in pre-production hell right now. I hate to say it but I suspect a cancellation.
Involved in the project?
Noll
what?
Eidos is working on a new IP atm, suffice to say they're not in a rush for a new Deus Ex game.
>couldn't even create saints row on the existed engine
>will make cyberpunk2077
What a meme company
how can I be nostalgic about a fricking trailer
Well, it's one of the best square enix cinematic
I never asked for this
is she okay?
yeah she's just sleeping like these guys
she's all right
squeenix was the worst possible company to acquire the license
They're starting to approach important events in the Deus Ex lore like the earthquake in 2030 that causes the west coast to fall into the ocean.
The unanimous argument with MD I recall was that it ended right when things get interesting. I feel like it can only go up from there now that we're in the 'shit hits the fan' angle of the timeline.
should I play MD?
last thing I heard was that it was a ham-fisted BLM allegory
>ham-fisted BLM allegory
Turns out the hamfisted allegory was part of the plan from the bad guys in the game to perpetuate divided views, hence Mankind Divided.
Weaponized cringe is still cringe.
the BLM allegory is a psyop by the illuminati to make the sheep fight amongst eachother instead of the people that ~~*really matter*~~
It's like that purposely in a meta way. It's not actually promoting BLM.
You should definitely play it if you liked human revolution. The campaign isn't as good, but it's still worth a playthrough. The part of the game that shines is the sidequests. this very post proves that the Illuminati's plan was perfect
Yes. Its best one after original deus ex. Its like improved version of HR. Better gameplay, better graphics and better soundtrack.
Whats the deal with Embracer now? Did they overspend buying up a bunch of shitty studios?
They supposedly made this $2 bil deal for an IP collab with some unknown company but the deal collapsed.
Eidos is the western Konami, why they haven't gone bankrupt is beyond my mind.
>Do what Cyberpunk 2077 Couldn't"
Well, almost all Deus Ex games are better "cyberpunk" games.
>2022
they shat alittle when they saw the phantom liberty trailer
Open world hubs that's all I have to say.
I hope they keep the third person finishers how cool was that shit
I don't mind the finishers but I also want melee weapons back.
You can tell how zoomerized this board is now that people seriously think the Adam Jensen brainlet abominations are "real" Deus Ex.
Better than invisible war, if not for eidos, deus ex would be dead in a grave with ion storm
And it would be better off. Even Hollywood has more respect for its classics than gaming. Gaming is lower than porn sometimes.
>all the levels are open world
>August 2022: "We make game better than Cyberpunk"
>June 2023: "Our current staff of 17,000 will be lower by the end of the year"
Off to a good start. Good luck, amigos.
Good, less diversity hires unlike ESG Projekt Red.
So this going to be a open world rpg deus ex
God modern aaa getting so fricked day by day
haha nobody replied to you for like 30 minutes you fricking wojak loser hahahahha
why do you post an old article to talk about it
Probably because there isn't anything more recent
I wonder if they're still going to use the same engine from MD considering the engine license is owned by Square Enix I recall.
The future didn't go the way of nano machines and robot limbs.
How would you recontextualize the original Deus Ex to reflect this?
HR already did by making it alternate history instead of a possible future
>U do it by avoiding it
Don't be a homosexual, anon. I know it's difficult to do. DX doesn't need to be changed because real life didn't pan out that way. No science fiction does.
Just asking as a what if, no need to be upset
>alternate history instead of a possible future
No concept of what the appeal of DX actually was, as if the constant MGS shit wasn't clue enough.
Yes, yes, le ebin rightwing conspiracy theories with globohomosexual as the bad guy.
They were left wing back then, before you were born.
good nu doos ex sucks, I didn't buy mankind divided and I won't buy whatever monstrosity they try to turn it into, maybe try bringing in some of the original developers to make it and I'll try caring.
