I've had better luck using the regular summon even for event characters. You also tend to hit streaks more where you get 2 or even 3 ss character s. It also helps if you get an SS on your free summon on new account. I have two new accounts where I hit episolon and beta on free summon then got another 4 or 5 ss with 12k gems initial. Then you get a free rose ATM to boot. Think I might end up using the one with cid alpha aurora sherry beta Alexia rose.

Not important enough to prioritise during rerolling. The boost is nice to have for sure but you would really want more top cards than one maxed one. You can also get a free awakening in event for NY delta (though don't know how easy it would be to get starting now. Probably not impossible though)

Use red dps Delta (non-SS) that has the push-back skill on your team. She will eventually scoot the boss close to or behind the healers and you can AOE or straight up kill the healers.
That said, I think I was still a bit overleveled when I eventually cleared it. There will be continue to be quests that have some bullshit gimmick that requires you to be overleveled, like a 3rd wave with a gorillion tanks that required so much dps to avoid time limit.
Sometimes, the gimmick can be defeated with a team comp change that utilizes an off-color-advantage member that has a beneficial skill

Has anyone been able to clear the expert-level boss hunt? I feel like there's no way to get to 20000 CP for a team without whaling hard and getting several copies of all the SSRs

tank doesn't matter too much so Delta is fine instead of Cid
Managed to beat it with Beta at rank 5 and the rest at rank 6, you just need to time the combo attack and choose the defense at 25% or 40% to be safe, then use young Alpha's special skill first to get the attack buff.
Right now I'm trying to level up to beat the guild boss hunt in 2 tries instead of 3.

He has no buffs up and a fiull tier 5 strike combo lands for 0, then flip a coin and the next strike combo lands for ok damage but time runs out. character active skill damage spike also have 50/50 chance to hit for 0. Again he only has red debuffs on him, no blue buffs active in the entire fight.

Yep that did it... I held out to last moment as the red debuff vanished for all my offensive, and the dog went down easy. You send about half the fight debuffed so there are a few windows to attack. cleared the chapter now.

Main Quest 4-5? That was a sticky point for me, too. It is one of several cases of where we get stuck at a quest that requires us to be super big brain with skills and a selection of leveled characters or to just spend several days increasing the levels and ranks on our team beyond the recommended power level.
I am currently stuck at a yellow boss, but my green team is max level, so it is taking me so long to grind the equipment needed to keep ranking up my team to 7
If your healer is Sherry, drop her for Beta or Epsilon

For PVP attack never bother with healers, it's better to ut in another tank to hold on longer or another attacker to kill the enemy faster.
The tank is the HP of the formation so usually the best option is to have one tank and then have all your attackers be a color that counters the counter of the tank. For example, you have a red tank. Blue counters red, so you load up on yellow attackers to punish the blue attackers.

the best part about this game.
I somehow pulled a double gamma and have been unlocking her various social seems. She is even clumsier than young version and is constantly falling on her face. Its pretty adorable.
Its weird her first dupe unlocks her second equipment slot. Usually that unlocks much later for most characters.
It's the same for all the shadow fes characters. Event characters you always get item slot on 3, everyone else is 5. I think

Lambda is fricking insane. A healer that massively boosts the tanks attack power by 400% while also healing. You get a new DPS source where none existed before.
My tank did more damage than a full team of attackers combined (two of them were SS+ with their own weapons, the other was normal SS).

Zeta has a really nice bracelet too (pic related). Red is probably my strongest team in terms of SS units. Aurora has her own scythe, and Eta has her unique slime. All of them are badly outclassed by the Lambda/Claire pairing (and Claire just has a basic red cloak).

She's not a starter unit like the younger versions of the shades, so she won't be on the tutorial banner.
That said, a fresh start should probably give enough crystals for a few rolls. And maintenance just passed, so that should be another 3000.

The whole event being Alpha dream brings interesting implications of what her desired relationship with Zeta would be. Along, with the fact that Nuru existence represents more of Cid/Shadow in his youth then his older self implies that Alpha misses her past when she had more personally contact with him in their youth, then his older self which she barely sees anymore because of leading Shadow Garden that's grown a lot.
Plus, interestingly enough it shows Alpha as a no-nonsense type of person which is direct counter to Cid more delusional self which she admires not knowing he likes acting.
If you didn't notice, she briefly encounters real Cid under his mob cover. During the cutscene it was implied that he looks familiar to her, like they met in different life.
Yeah I noticed it immediately. Cid VA lower his voice more then usual for the mob student his plays as in Alpha dream world compared to his real self that plays the mob student role. Which, I guess makes sense since in Alpha dream world he really is suppose to be a mob then pretending like he does in real world. He's obviously going to be Alpha love interest if they continued on doing events in Alpha dream world.

How the heck does this series have a mobage already? Was the LN or whatever the anime was based off of that successful?
well the anime was one of the more entertaining ones to come out recently, easily the best fantasy based anime right now.

The mobage was pretty much a gamble that was made probably during a similar time the anime was being produced. You can easily hear the subtle differences between the VAs performance of the characters in the anime and the mobage. Especially, when they are saying the same lines in which the lines delivery and tone is different across the medium.
I guess some producer saw some sort potential in the I.P or maybe was a fan of the series to want try create a mobage of the game even if the anime success was not guarantee. The anime BD sales are very mid despite it ranking high on many online streaming sites while airing. While, the gacha popularity has started to dwindle along with the cash-flow despite the explosive start because the management not handling issues players face on logging in the game and the lack of stones issues. Along, other issues that should had been taken care since the start when people have been pointing out about it. Although, judging by the ranking on Game-I it hasn't completely fallen off the map yet and still has some life in it because of the somewhat strong fanbase still wanting to support the game.
The events are getting out of hand, I have a lvl 55, all rank 9 team and I still got my ass kicked by the boss.

Challenge, I assume you have Delta and Beatrix? I don't, the best result I've gotten is with 2 tanks, 2 healers and blue Alexia but she isn't strong enough and I end up running out of time.
I have both but didn't use beatrix because no item. Don't think I would have managed without delta, it was pretty close even with her

World tree 3 is insane. Are we really expected to have a pair of level 58 green teams? 10 fully levelled green units?
I tried even a neutral element (red) for no buffo r debuff as the first team for first boss and got raped. I can sweep that first battle with my green team but then the second boss is an enough tougher one needing a green team too.

It is pretty hard, it took me a while to beat the double green bosses and I can't beat the 7th floor because I don't have strong enough blues.
JK Zetta and JK Alpha combo is crazy strong if you get alpha to at least awakened 4, and alpha to at least 1. During tests, you can effortlessly get 12 stacks by the 30 sec timer, and blow your low as soon as defense hits.
30% defense decrease, 70%+ attack boost, and close to a 3k damage attack from Alpha
Considering the increased 2x rates and free awaken stones from the event, odds are you can do it within 400 rolls
which is probably way stronger than what you would get with a shadow fest char, maybe awakened level 2 within 400 rolls
If you can't afford to roll 400 times then don't even try though

Most event characters are limited. 666/Rose and Lambda are the only exceptions so far. If you can see them at the bottom of character screen you can unlock with shards. If not you're fricked

Seasonals seem to be upper tier in PVE, but lower tier in PVP mainly because some teams are desperate for on-color attackers in story mode and players have to take what they can get. PVP favors the aoe attackers and haste units (Adult gamma is borderline cheating).

Everyones yellow team is bad, they are starved for offense outside of a few seasonals. Its the worst color by far.

Red and green (green for delta alone being the strongest unit in the game). Red has very good air damage and haste.

All story content can be cleared with non exclusives, usually it just comes down to a few levels.
Green also very high quality S rank units. Very easy to build a free/common green team.
