It's not really emulation either, it's a re-implementation of the original hardware using an FPGA. The FPGA just allows you to reprogram it to load different consoles.
It's like calling clone consoles "emualtion" because they use a modern clone chip. An FPGA is just a programmable chip.
kool but I can't buy one outside of yurope and off some fishy site

what's Ganker's EotY?
PCSX2 easily
all the other emulators suck besides 2d shit and dolphin has made almost 0 progress in recent year as to being actually better than some small qol shit and fixing very minor bugs instead of stuff that actually matters in big games
FPGAs for 'emulation' are moronic, and the fact you linked to a repo which shows even they need updates and fixes - and thus aren't perfect recreations - proves they aren't any better than emulators and are on par with audiophile bullshit.
FPGAs are better if you actually use a CRT because they're analog and can run at the original clockrates of various systems.
Other than that you a probably just better off using an emulator.
You can do that with CRT Emudiver which is free, and a radeon GPU you can get for $15 off ebay.
>FPGAs for 'emulation' are moronic
Nope, it’s a great use of FPGA’s. >thus aren't perfect recreations
Yet still better than anything software has produced.
>Yet still better than anything software has produced.
They're not. Edge magazine did a massive expose on them, about 10 pages long, including interviews with key creators. They're a complete scam and they are no more accurate than software emulators.

I don't hate Ryujinx I just don't recommend using it unless Yuzu is broken
In my experience Ryujinx runs AND looks worse than Yuzu, though this is most pronounced with the Xenoblade games that aren't Xenoblade HD, for me so far. Ryujinx is supposed to be more accurate than Yuzu, but somehow for me it tends to have more issues in general somehow. It's not like I don't have a PC powerful enough to use Ryujinx either.
It really seems to me that you have to compare Yuzu and Ryujinx for every single individual title.
ryujinx are for accuracygays that insist on playing at 640p/20 fps just like nintendo intended
yuzu is for people that want to play at 4k/60fps and use real mods
ryujinx is for people who want to play games the day they leak.
yuzu is for those with weak hardware, who have to wait for release day for the devs to hack together some fixes to get the game to run.
The funny thing is that for totk they both ran early, but Yuzu easily ran the best. Yuzu couldn’t emulate the volumetric clouds until the 1.02 patch, but Ryu wouldn’t emulate the gloom in the depths. All the original frame unlocking and ambient occlusion fixes were done on Yuzu first too.
Although you needed a hack to get the game to even boot on yuzu pre-release. If it wasn't for the community and was just up to the yuzu devs the game wouldn't have worked at all.
>ryujinx is for people who want to play games the day they leak.
Yeah this tends to be the case in my experience. It's not just the day they leak either, It's usually the first week Yuzu needs to push out a patch to fix the playability of the game while Ryujinx has already had it running well before the game even releases.
I always wonder why that is and why Yuzu tends to not be able to run games for shit without patching it.
>but i dont understand why xemu is the same way
xemu is basically a 1 man project, and it being built off QEMU (a massive x86 PC emulator which is pretty demanding) doesn't help.
I will continue to use Duckstation even if it’s 10 times slower because it has a better UI. These homosexual programmers need to learn that frontend development is just as important.
switch emulators suck
astral chain, starlink, mua3, hyrule warriors 2 all still run like shit on yuzu and ryujinx 5 years after release
basically if its not a mario or zelda game it usually has major issues on emulator
>a better rig doesnt solve fundamental issues like constant audio desync, crashes, and other bullshit.
Well apparently it does as I had zero issues play HWAoC at a locked 60fps 4K.
so they finally got it working after several years of it running like shit? thats nice now try starlink, mua3, or astral chain
they all have highly distracting graphical or audio glitches that have persisted for YEARS
if you expect me to play ONLY the most popular mario and zelda games and for me to pretend like thats good enough, youre delusional
The only way a game would look worse is if it had dynamic resolution scaling, you didn't use a mod to turn it off, and you were getting worse performance which would force the resolution scaling on.

Dolphin is still the best emulator. It's the only one that does online well, which alone adds so much value that it's ridiculous.
MelonDS is getting there, but that's iffy at best, Ryus lack of a buffer means you can only play with people with very good connection (unless they've updated it).
The main point is the competition of online multiplayer is a bit shit
dont remind me, i missed Super Mario RPG because of that. and of course when the game came out offficially and nobody was talking about it anymore , Yuzu released the update that fixed the music issues making it fully playable.
hell! frick both emus. no emulator for an active console that has to hold back critical updates to comply with the makers deserves a title like 'the best'.
There's a specific build of CXBX that doesn't have the white flickering that I had to use earlier.
Xemu has an issue with audio in the little bit I played with it, and all of CXBX's builds other than one specific date has this white flickering glitch, at least when Widescreen hacking.
Playing it on CXBX the only time I encountered any issues whatsoever was the lighting was bugged during one of the boss fights towards the end of the game.
>xemu
Unless I'm missing something, It's not there yet.
I appreciate it because It's been making steady progress, and I would actually go so far as to say that in terms of UI It's my favorite emulator pound for pound.
But It's not a place yet where I can play much of the Xbox exclusive library on it without major issues, even if I limit myself to native resolution.
What do you recommend for touch controls in Vita3K? I mean you can touch and swipe using the mouse but what can I do for multitouch and the rear touchpad?
I don't know why people act like tribalBlack folk over ryujinx and yuzu. I always keep both around, ryu is usually better for running games in pre-release but yuzu usually ends up being the definitive way to play post-release.
Is there some special configuration for RPCS3 to play Red Dead Redemption? I play every other ps3 game on Steam Deck without problem but that one title is fricked up.
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/MegaDrive_MiSTer
>MiSTer
Expensive for what it is but apparently placebo works very well for some people
My build cost $350, it’s incredibly cheap for what you are getting.
Snake oil scam. Total ripoff.
Software emulators are just as accurate and have less input lag. And they're free.
Not an emulator
Not placebo, especially if you're using a CRT.
Hardware emulation. It also has a software version too but it runs at like 0.1fps lol.
It's not really emulation either, it's a re-implementation of the original hardware using an FPGA. The FPGA just allows you to reprogram it to load different consoles.
It's like calling clone consoles "emualtion" because they use a modern clone chip. An FPGA is just a programmable chip.
it's a emulator that uses a mix of hardware and software emulation
There’s no mix, it’s all in hardware.
kool but I can't buy one outside of yurope and off some fishy site
PCSX2 easily
all the other emulators suck besides 2d shit and dolphin has made almost 0 progress in recent year as to being actually better than some small qol shit and fixing very minor bugs instead of stuff that actually matters in big games
I tried dolphin was upset the widescreen hack is still broken with all same games I tired last year.
Thankfully alot of Gamecube/Wii games are being ported to the Switch.

Has to be Yuzu. Haven't seen such a good emulator before. Ryujinx is a good side chick too.
How is Yuzu better than Ryujinx?
his computer is dogshit and he'll take 23 fps over 10
but it's still unplayable regardless
might as well run ryujinx if you aren't using a potato
>more fps is bad
>excusing one emulator's better performance because you just have a nuclear pc and give zero fricks about tech
>catBlack person
>moronic
Had visual glitches non-stop on Mario Wonder so I moved it to Ryujinx. It is a per game scenario, TOTK is faster on Yuzu.
Everything I play runs better on Ryujinx though
Dude shutup let the normies use yuzu.
ryujinx are for accuracygays that insist on playing at 640p/20 fps just like nintendo intended
yuzu is for people that want to play at 4k/60fps and use real mods
ryujinx is better at everything
yuzu is just for poorgays
post ryujinx running totk at 60 fps
>ryujinx better because it takes a stronger computer to do the same things yuzu does, but worse!
yuzu is for third world shitboxes
ryujinx is for people who want to play games the day they leak.
yuzu is for those with weak hardware, who have to wait for release day for the devs to hack together some fixes to get the game to run.
observe how they cannot post totk running at 60 fps, because their garbage emulator just flat out isnt capable
here is another one, this time 8k downscaled to 4k for that super smooth supersampled anti-aliasing
i'll continue to enjoy playing switch at a proper framerate and resolution, enjoy your 720p 30 fps lmao
https://www.google.com/search?q=tears+of+the+kingdom+ryujinx&tbm=vid
>only footage is just standing still
ur not even trying
> ur just standing still
smooth, steady 60
too bad ryujinx devs are too incompetent to write performant code
still cant find a video huh? embarassing
>720p 30 fps
Peak SOUL, you don't need anything more

i get rpcs3 requiring a supercomputer to run but i dont understand why xemu is the same way when xenia runs fine.
>but i dont understand why xemu is the same way
xemu is basically a 1 man project, and it being built off QEMU (a massive x86 PC emulator which is pretty demanding) doesn't help.
Xemu and Xenia
Yuzu hands down.
whats the one on the bottom left corner? Citra?
Vita3k
thanks Vitacord
It works now?
Muramasa and Gravity Rush work apparently.
Kinda. It's still choppy and sometimes slow, but it can run games now.
Vita3K
Yuzu
XD
I just double click and it runs perfectly. No lag whatsover
Did you just watch MVG video? God you're a homosexual
Ryujinx hands down.
idk why it always lags for me (cutscenes stuttering + and/or audio stuttering)
Post PCs
How is emulating in tablet?
Persona 3 fes runs smooth for me.
Other PS2 games run like shit
Duckstation since it's the one I used the mostly.
You don't wife Ryujinx. You just use her when Yuzu doesn't feel like running a game.
it's the opposite moron
yuzu runs games better but is fricking shit
I still use EPSXE.
Duckstation runs slower, for some reason.
how shit is your computer dude
yes. but its great when a normie friend asks you for help.
have you ever tried to explain epsxe to anyone?
I will continue to use Duckstation even if it’s 10 times slower because it has a better UI. These homosexual programmers need to learn that frontend development is just as important.

They run fine if you're not on a toaster.
>>just spend 2k on a 4080TI bro
youre actually wrong though. a better rig doesnt solve fundamental issues like constant audio desync, crashes, and other bullshit.
you're just wrong and i doubt you ever use this software because if you did you'd know you are full of shit
>a better rig doesnt solve fundamental issues like constant audio desync, crashes, and other bullshit.

Just look up youtube videos of them, they all run great.
low quality bait
What mods are these, please and thank you
can we fricking emulate bloodborne already ?
No.

CEMU because its always good.
I'm amazed how perfect duckstation plays, could pick my rhythm games and they work as it should
Mostly Xenia, some x360 exclusives are really sick
Any bugs?
This is done in Yuzu. Ryujinx fanboys spreading misinformation as always because they need to justify their AMD card or whatever.
>ryujinx
dont remind me, i missed Super Mario RPG because of that. and of course when the game came out offficially and nobody was talking about it anymore , Yuzu released the update that fixed the music issues making it fully playable.

Yuzu is GOATed. Not fixing leaked games is just politics.
Still waiting for Xemu to fix the audio bugs in Jet Set Radio Future so I can play it without having a fricking migraine from audio popping
When is mikage being released?
Okay, gay which xbox emulator should i use to emulate JSRF?
There's a specific build of CXBX that doesn't have the white flickering that I had to use earlier.

Duckstation earned it. They went from N64 tier to SNES tier in less than a year.
Can I have a quick rundown on these candidates? Why should they be elected this prestigious title?
>xemu
Unless I'm missing something, It's not there yet.
I appreciate it because It's been making steady progress, and I would actually go so far as to say that in terms of UI It's my favorite emulator pound for pound.

is mercenaries playable in xemu yet?
Yes but you need a really powerful CPU from what I’ve seen

That's just Ganker in a nutshell, gotta take sides on everything.
ZSNES for me
That UI is SOVL
Enjoy your botnet
Does Vita 3k run well? Does it run Soul Sacrifice?
Is there some special configuration for RPCS3 to play Red Dead Redemption? I play every other ps3 game on Steam Deck without problem but that one title is fricked up.
