Switch not only runs Fortnite. But it runs full on Unreal Engine 5 Fortnite. Not the prettiest version as it's 30FPS and dynamic resolution to 720p when docked. But it's still the full Fortnite, even including Lego/Rocket Racing/Festival. Being an online only game on Switch isn't a huge barrier to success.
