Imagine how soul crushing it would be to be a CCP dev working on the NPE and knowing whatever work you’ve done will be gone in 10 months when some middle management fricktard decides to totally revamp the system and delete all your work.
That would imply the changes are over. It's currently eve-olving and once its evilution is complete it will have eve-olved. From there is may gain content or eve-olve some more
Dust 514 should have been on pc and accessible through WiS while the cost to maintain killing people in dust should have been tied to isk and basically a handful of level 2 missions would fund you for many losses in it.
I'm very surprised player counts didn't tank harder during this summer. Perhaps we reached some sort of floor with bots and 24/7 online turboautists left.
MY 100% FOOLPROOF WAY TO IMPROVE NULLSEC AND SAVE THIS PIECE OF SHIT GAME.
1) REMOVE JUMP FREIGHTERS. NO MORE MAGIC TELEPORTATION BULLSHIT. IN THEIR PLACE, MAKE FREIGHTERS HAVE TRIPLE THE CURRENT CARGO BAY. FREIGHTERS CAN NOW BOOST. YOU WANT TO MOVE YOUR SHIT FROM NULL SEC TO JITA? TIME TO MAKE A SPACE CONVOY. ALSO, IF THE FREIGHTER TAKES CERTAIN AMOUNTS OF DAMAGE SOME OF THE CARGO IS EJECTED INTO SPACE, MEANING GANKING IS NO LONGER ALL OR NOTHING.
2) WHATEVER THE CURRENT SOV SYSTEM IS THE WORST THING SINCE THE LAST SOV SYSTEM. REPLACE IT WITH A LITERAL CAPTURE THE FLAG MECHANIC. LIKE GRAB A FLAG IN THE SYSTEM AND THEN YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT ALL THE WAY BACK TO YOUR CORP'S STATION. WHILE YOU GRAB THE FLAG IT PINGS EVERYONE IN THE CORP AND THEY CAN 100% TRACK YOU WHILE YOU WARP BACK. IF YOU MAKE IT BACK IN ONE PIECE THEN YOUR CORP NOW OWNS THE SOV IN THAT SYSTEM.
ANYONE WHO SAYS THESE IDEAS ARE STUPID IS A NULL-BABY homosexual AND SHOULD UNSUB THEIR 5,000 ALTS AND FRICK OFF.
Y'know, I wondered if there was anything stupider than fozziesov, and then here you are.
There was nothing wrong with OG pos-spam. They only removed it because Reikoku was shit at it and still had a little bit of developer nepotism on their side.
#1 is good for ansiblex market. So heres my shit fps ideas, written poorly >drop pod charge
>fired on upwell before ref >citadel becomes PvP event on Dust2 >Choose Your Side!!1! >citadel gains or loses resists with outcome
>fired on planet >fired on self colony >PvE event for fps >local wildlife and/or natives >boost or reduce PI deposits >fired under POCO >PvPvE for POCO resists
>fired on capital >time trial >caps are fricking huge >just enough time to sabotage a system >cap pilot can do hacking minigame >reduce time further
Because the Apoc used to have a 5% to cap amount per level but it was garbage so CCP just gave it the 25% cap for free and then gave it an optimal range bonus.
This was like in 2012 when they did the tiericide stuff
It wouldn't be so bad if its speed and acceleration wasn't abysmal as well, the Abaddon packs a pretty heavy punch and has a ton of EHP. You can "fix" the cap issue with cap transfers, you can't fix the ship moving only slightly faster than a capital ship.
bad cap was a deliberate balance thing on the abaddon to compensate for having good bonuses. it didn't work out, it's not a real downside because cap boosters exist. ccp don't care and just left it for 15 years or whatever
>two broken games
Not really. I think Foxhole's "problem" according to most is the industry gameplay that could be solved by Eve-side manufacturing. Eve would get amazingly fun on-planet gameplay from the trade and a great entrypoint to the ecosystem for noobs that don't yet know they want to play spaceships instead of shooters.
>be spoilt brat kid >get banned for RMTing >cry to daddy >richgay daddy has """"powerful connections"""" to an embassy or something >phones CCP demanding to unban his son or "there will be grave consequences for Iceland" >CEO tells him to frick off >spoilt brat kid makes a new account >spends a few million $$$ on plex >loses it all in a few weeks >CCP laughing all the way to the bank

being a gigahomosexual is just reddit/nullbloc culture. what I don't get is why they think they're good players when it should be obvious to them that they aren't
Would giving everybody a single free omega account save eve? Let's pretend people wouldn't multibox free accounts in meaningful numbers but would generally pay for their extra accounts.
the real sink is grinding tags to buy fricking anything from a loyalty store that you also could just sell instead but you'll eventually have to dig your standings out of the gutter regardless of what you use them for.
the kinds of autists that complain loudly about the game are the kinds of players CCP is trying to get rid of
game's going great and is best its ever been
the fact it still even has a fanfest when other, larger game companies cant afford to hold their own anymore speaks volumes.
FW & mission changes later this year and gfx updates are gunna be sick
ignore the moronic bittervet haters that want this shit to still play like it did in 2006
Ccp can try to save eve by giving players more freedom. Like a freedom to not take part in pvp. Say, if you are in empire space, you can still attack other players, if they don't return fire or get killed, concord blasts your ship and capsule. You are reborn in a random sector far away from core empire worlds without free frigate. Don't have isk to buy new one? Frick you. Have money and do that again? Get banned from security space.
Decided to change? Grind tokens or buy a pass. >muh freedom
homosexuals should suffer
They should've just upped the penalties for having low security status but remove ever-present CONCORD entirely. Instead of a -10 to 5 thing, you get a permanent suspect/criminal status of varying penalties (Stealing loot is the most minimal one up to podding players), and once you're a criminal you can no longer use gates in high sec.
Instead, you'd have the reverse of those null sec filaments that can teleport you into a random populated high sec system between .8-.5 security status, you're free to engage lawful players during that time but once you do faction navies show up after a time in the system and try to probe you down like players do. The goal would be to do some piracy until your filament cooldown ran out and use that to extract. The only problem with this is that no one carries anything worth stealing in high sec so it'd literally only be for griefing.
What would change? Theres no grind in eve, anyone can log in and jump into whatever they like right away. Why are you so afraid of skill removal if it impacts nothing?
Best to treat skill points not as grind but as specialization. Without specialization you're going to see a lot of soulless meta stuff dominating the game. After all we don't want people chasing after FOTM play styles simply because they watched some streamer. A better alternative would be to give everyone same number of skill points (that's not enough to V all skills), with possibilities to respec once in a while, instead of removing skills altogether.
I always thought about something like that (Skills train at 10x the speed they currently do, but you have to unallocate skills once you hit a cap) but that really does just push people further towards alts even more than the game already does. I think at this point, it'd be best to find a replacement for the skill system entirely, it's mostly serving as a huge turnoff for new players who see it would take them ages to try various ships and weapons and mechanics like mining or trading or manufacturing to any efficient degree. Regardless if you can still participate in the game or not, no one likes to think they're missing out just because they don't have a character sitting on 20m+ skillpoints.
My suggestion would be to remove permanent skills entirely but grant players temporary bonuses relevant to the content they're doing. Like if you do frigate PvP all day, you can pick between several sets of boosts as you accomplish your goals like increased warp speed in frigates, smaller signature radius, etc. Or for mining a certain amount of a specific ore type, you get increased bonuses to yields or faster cycle times or cap reduction or something. All of these bonuses would be lost in a few days, but they'd refresh if you kept doing the things to earn them so as long as you're actually doing an activity regularly you'd be equivalent to the "skill cap" that currently exists. And if you lose it, it wouldn't take very long to get it back just by doing what you want to do.
With this, you don't need any alts for skill reasons, you can literally do whatever you want on your main just by doing it. And you can't even have a passive alt you're sitting on training skills offline since you'd need to go do what you want to get boosts for it.
Certainly an interesting idea, I think some games like Destiny 2 already have similar systems in place

It's kind of EVE's biggest virtue and biggest sin, that you can improve a character without actually logging in to play. It's nice because you have no reason to ever grind like any other game, but you also don't have a lot of incentive to go out into the world and do things, except to (ironically) grind ISK so you can use it to buy stuff.
Most games that aren't intrinsically fun to play at least invent an excuse for you to go and play the game, in EVE's case a new player is most likely going to wander around space for an hour looking for a fight only to get dumpstered and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

I think this is one of the reasons why EVE is "unappealing" to people who are used to playing the usual MMOs. You just need to approach the game in a different way since it promotes a different playstyle. I haven't played EVE in a while but when I did play it that was the impression that I got.

I think it's funny that people can still "play" the game even if they're not playing the actual game.
There is always a meta and fotm. Brawl, kiting, drones, buffers, lazers. Meta is there and all this muh best fit special olympics is nothing. There is an answer on how to play eve, there is an answer on how to win every fight and everyone knows it. You see same ships and fits all the time, same fleets. Eve is no different to any other korean mmo, it just takes more of your time and forces you to literally pay and then not play for weeks. You are way too deep in stockholm syndrome if your can't see this.
>take things that made Eve a niche MMO and the longest running MMO in history >remove them to make the game more like all the other MMO’s that have already died
I came back earlier this year and while I still enjoy shooting NPC ships on occasion, the constant need to look over my shoulder, watch local, d-scan, etc was too draining to bother with.
I could've restarted my wormhole corp, but that takes a large time commitment to manage, find, and screen people and as I'm working two jobs and studying for my masters degree right now, I can only really log in for an hour or two every now and then. So I had a bit of fun doing exploration, just enough to scratch that itch, and shelved it again.
Only if your real life is a miserable existence where you are all alone, fat and ugly, but with a paying job. Sure, eve is always welcoming for such as you.
These are just a bunch of zoomers who don’t even want participation trophies. They want a 1st place medal delivered by Amazon Prime straight to their house. Dismiss all their detritus and they will frick off to another game.
>Eve is no different to any other korean mmo, it just takes more of your time and forces you to literally pay and then not play for weeks
how moronic are you
I wonder how ready their next FPS is as I think since fanfest at least most of their lore teaser stuff has featured infantry. Maybe they plan on releasing basically PC Dust 2.0. Perhaps this is the "largest content patch so far".
Yooo we L4 missionan'?
Just fleet warp me in and I'll park the sentry domi next to you. I'll bookmark each pocket and come by in my salvage destroyer right before the wrecks despawn.
Both are shit.
Wasting moneytime for anime jpeg is literally the same as wasting moneytime for a ship in eve.
At least you get to use jpeg in gachas, most of the time. You won't lose it the second you use it.

Define megawhale.
This game is being forcefully kept alive buy several hundred multiclient omega paying whales.
This game has several reports of people who bought the "best" shit (and got ganked for it immediately). And they did it not once or twice.
This game has yearly reports of some autist who got raped for moving hunders and thousands of plexes in his cargo.
The whole injector system is a literal whale magnets that works like a charm.
Black market is alive because of whales.
If thats not megawhaling i wonder what is.
>44 min video

any gacha is an order of magnitude worse than any other form of video games.
Decided to give Eve a try recently. What should my goals as a new player be? I've mostly been doing boring solo mining runs because I have no clue what else to do aside from run missions. Tried joining a faction war and had literally no idea what I was doing.
>gets into eve >wants to larp as a stealth bomber >looks at all the skills needed to fly the most basic bomber >"this is stupid" >quits eve >goes back after 6 months >can fly said bomber now
why is eve like an abusive wife?
>What should my goals as a new player be?
find something you enjoy doing
branch out and do a variety of shit, you'll burn out if you only ever grind the frick out of 1 thing all the time
find a corp, meet people, make friends, do shit with them
dont get baited into thinking flying bigger shit = better, like 90% of the game takes place in Cruisers and smaller
missiles & drones are top tier for PVE activities
just in frigates you can do lvl 4 burner missions, abyssals, explo and pvp
burners pay more than ratting in null, easy 150mil/hr in a frigate which is why there are so many chink botters running them
ishtar, gila, muninn, omen navy, sacrilege and cerberus are all top tier cruisers worth getting into later
Do something on 1 account and grab another to skill up and join Brave to fight the Chinese. You'll get 2 accounts training skills for free and be able to try out more stuff faster.
I'd personally also just ask for help in local doing missions or asking to tag along with more veteran players... be patient and you'll have a good time. As an older player coming back after a long way away, I'm doing something similar. Lots to relearn past just click and shoot stuff.
>Decided to give Eve a try recently
found your problem
Play ANYTHING else: X, elite, star citizen, master of orion, parkan, starpoint, darkstar.
What the frick is wrong with you?
Missiles are cool but they're micro intensive if you want max efficiency. You have to switch to the next target when the enemies are about to die or you will be wasting your missiles and your DPS.
Download https://github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/releases and play around with the modules until everything fits. Most of the modules have variations (so called "meta modules") with less fitting cost (usually 'compact' in the name).
You should know by now that Eve has always been used as a testing ground to real-world economic changes. Here's the situation, and also a cat; >Resources diminished >Isk faucets tightened >Market participation dominated by """investors""" >Players discouraged from overall participation in their own game(society) >Null systems held ransom for rent via bots
There's more similarities, but this list is some of the bigger points. The best way I can see for Eve to move forward is a WWIII scenario against the LANDLEECHES, in any system they may exist. Hbu?
The homosexual cucked and apologized. When are people gonna learn that you gain absolutely nothing by trying to appease multicultists? There's nothing wrong with calling Black folk Black folk.

I saw Ashy at Fanfest in Reykjavik. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything. She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for souvenirs up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen hoodies in her hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Ma'am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the hoodies and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterance,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by mentioning her blog really loudly.
by ignoring them and trying to find the actual pro Abyssal runners who do T6's in bling Vagabonds/Sacrileges or triple-box Retri/Retri/Deacon bling fits instead.
If someone's running Abyssals in a Gila they're nearly always just a T4 pleb making 100mil/hr and arent someone actually making the big bucks
but iunno watching killboards, spying in the system they're running them in
the abyss filament stays in system the whole time they're in there, giving you ~20min to get lads parked up waiting to gank
or you can park up outside NPC Buy order systems like Yulai and just gank them when they bring in their few billions of RedLoot to sell
Boy I sure limited time events relegated to an extremely small portion of the map where you have to compete with endless russians that are all mysteriously less than 60 days old.
run darks with a missile/drone ship instead
dark filaments are dirt cheap
T1s are 5k each when T1 exotics are 50~70k each
firestorms are pretty good too, pretty cheap and no-one runs them for some reason
Tell me anons, whats the best way to get money for an unskilled alpha c**t that can't fly properly cruisers so it can buy 12 months of omega?
So far, sucking off gas clouds or abusing killright selling in lowsec by letting myself getting killed in a 0,5m t1 venture by some ramdo looking for pvp.
My Corp is basically dead, but don't want to leave them yet until i payed some money i borrowed from them, so corp activities are off the table for a while, and grinding lvl missions on nullsec while are a bit fun, they don't really pay much and the chinese kill me on sight since they have a 22/7 blockade on every gate.
Bar none best skill investment for new alphas is maxing everything in Scanning (3 days), and getting a [Racial] Frigate IV (4 days) and do exploration.
Then consider what you want to do in the future and use your free 5mil sp wisely.
Missions: Not worth unless you’re blitzing L4s with a machariel and probably a nergal. Slowboating them in missile ships cripples your isk/hour. Cons: You’re also stuck in high sec, can’t be part of a null corp since if you’re war declared your mission ships will be targeted.
Incursions: good isk, large hybrid turrets and shield or armor skills depending on what fleet you join. Cons: you’ll be nearly a maxed alpha by the time you can even join them. You’ll be stuck in high sec, again, can’t be in a war dec’d corp unless you want your bling chariot to be a free target.
Abyssal: too good. Do them from any space. Fleeting up with others not a requirement. Scaling difficulty. Hidden positive: All the skills are for small and medium weapons, frigs/destroyers/cruisers. Which is what you’ll mostly be flying for pvp. Save yourself a year of having to train battleship skills if you’re only going to be using them for pve.
>Missions: Not worth unless you’re blitzing L4s
you're doing lv4's wrong
the proper way to do them is run burners in a bling harpy/dramiel/daredevil
better isk/hour than null ratting
main reason more people dont do it is because 80% of the game is afk chinese/russian bots who would rather just afk in ishtars
Go to Stain, start scanning for relic sites. You can make a crisp 100m an hour. Use Pochven filaments (e.g. border 5 + glorification 1) to get back to HS. Repet
>newbies still being lured by exploration where you dont actually explore shit and salvaging that requires 12hours shifts to make at least some profit for weeks
classic
I have fun looking for really good deals and hauling them in a frigate with sub-insta align times.
One small item got me a 20M profit once.
Other than eve trade and obsessively looking over eve marketer are there already built tools to help find me the best deals?
The question is. Which normal alliance need 75+ alt corps full of ganking & scamming alt around the Jita? The answer - Goons, amok init, karma and so on. You frickers just destroyed this game hand in hand with hehemar, hamburger and patatti. Mittani - worm frick you!
I remember when goons would scam new high-sec corps by offering them space in null, but they first had to pay a fee to join. Sometimes they’d also offer to jump freighter all of the corp’s assets to null for free.
Pretty funny in hindsight, but at the time I considered them the ultimate shitbags.
>goon e gurl stream prostitute gets allegedly harassed >the e gurl (and apparently his troony friend) gets first ignored and then start raising shit >every party gets banned by Mittens / goon leadership >woke Sturmabteilung equivalent gets a whiff of this and piles up on a holy crusade >SA eve thread turns basically into some kind of hardcore antifa circlejerk and disowns goonie goon alliance >more dirt from decades ago get brought up >apparently Mittani sells furniture and interior decorating advice for men "that refuse to follow the mainstream" (you can't make shit up: https://web.archive.org/web/20220313020803/https://madfern.com/ ) >full army groups of SJWs go into total meltdown >somehow Xenuria is part of this
Might be a bit inaccurate but this is roughly the general outline. There's probably tens of hours worth of lolcow reading on various EO related forums.
Oh and Mittani himself is accused of flashing his junk to goon females in meetups or something.
The whole thing seems to have ascended to it's own weird dimension
basically. I spend the better part of last night reading this stuff and laughing out loud IRL:

You culture warriors are pathetic. Horseshoe theory vindicated once again.
shitadels, the chinese bot scourge after the game was made f2p, skill injectors, login rewards, and most of all, most of my evebros stopped playing before I did, so eventually I stopped logging into to eve even as a glorified IRC client
First time I was just training and grinding missions, got too careless and NPCs shot my caracal down. This and noone really wanting me in their null-corp made me quit.
Second time was when I realized hi-sec incursions made more ISK/hour than wormhole ratting while being insanely more safe. That and T3 prices crashing down just as the first batch of Svipuls came off the assembly line in my own C2. That and scanning and going deep into wormhole chains and not finding anything to kill. Also my guild turned on me, evicted me, then I hired mercs and evicted them and then I quit.
Third time was when CCP released Doctor Who patch.
How long until the witch hunt spreads to other alliances? I'm pretty sure there's haram logs of past and current leadership of major alliances using gamer words in various channels. kek
>the ishtar is responsible for 50% of all rat bounties
In their war against afk, ccp should remake combat anomalies. They now have the tools to find some creative solution to keep people at their keyboard. Increase the payout for the individual and frick over the bots.
Miss playing this game with my astero explorer tbh
100% of my time was spent in wormholes just hacking down sites and selling everything I found
Escaped dozens of ambushes, never caught once
Retired gracefully

Any qanon guilds? I wouldn't mind teaming up with boomers.
I think it’s great that you morons screech about child sex trafficking/israeli child sacrifice cabals/other room temperature IQ qanon conspiracy theories, but when the goons literally elected a pedophile into the CSM you all retreat to “BuT wHaT aBoUt ThE tRaNnIeS!?!?!”
You’re all a bunch of whiny homosexuals. Get never endingly fricked.
>L3 security missions 5~10m isk/hour (alphas cant L4) >one sitting of this 1.5mil heron is worth 170 hours of L3 missions
yeah, if you're a true alpha newbie dont skip out on the week's worth of training the exploration skills. 19 sigs scanned, but half of them were in high sec while I was learning the minigame then I needlejacked to null
As a sort of newbie alpha with minimal meta following, Tried to start EVE a few times over the years, most ended in a month and I'd just made a new one a couple years later, current and oldest account is around 4 months of actual activity Exploration has been my go to way to actually make money. Sure it's not consistent, but a quick run through null or a good wormhole and you've just made at least 100m on a 2m investment. Everything else you can do early on is just so basic and joyless, and generally pays poorly for risk. You could solo rat in null/low as a ghetto form of L4's early on but then you run across the most desperate for content kind of people there are. I guess I was in the wrong neighborhood or something because one time I was running outposts and yards in a complete t1 cruiser, and a 10 man fleet of Blops and Tengus decided to mobilize and completely lock down the system. Another time I was doing something similar when another t1 Cruiser jumped in, I decided to try to fight for the site, but the moment I was scrammed 3 more of their accounts jumped into the system with Leshaks, I understand why so many new players learn to be skittish and run at the first sign of potential danger. I still do the occasional ratting run through low or null, but it's just a tedious wait of spamming "v" every time someone appears in local as I chunk through a pirate battleships health, I mostly stick to wormholes for PvE now. It's a similar thing with gas huffing, sure it makes good money for an alpha, but it's also staying alert for the hour it takes to fill the cargo bay on your venture, spamming v all the while and running at the first sight of probe. Even in my sporadic EVE career, the NPE has been redone like 4-5 times, but at the end of it, there's always the question of "what now?". and the answer is always go to this ancient content and hit f1, I'm sure a revamp of combat sites and agents would to more for retention than anything else.
>I'm sure a revamp of combat sites and agents would to more for retention than anything else
It's called abyssal space.
Funnily enough I have bad experiences with exploration. Lots of time scanning for nothing and shitload of predators. Gas huffing is more consistent, and more importantly, you only have to do it once or twice to get seed money for station trading. Station trading is hands down the best and the safest ISK making activity.
I know Abyssal Space exists, I want some of its design philosophy used to revamp older content. Abyssal space has some issues, you're limited in what ships you can use and how many people you can bring, it's instanced, and there's a massive variety in what you face.
Just take the somewhat randomized nature of abysses and apply it to combat sites, instead of 2 variants, each one always having the same triggers and spawns, have it draw from a list of 15 or so potential waves, and give some a gimmick. Some waves have drone ships that operate like the Vila, others bring along logi ships, extreme close range damage, or very long range ships, ships that call the next wave early if left alive, just something new and something to force players to prioritize targets unless their doing a site far below their skill level. Site continues until a payout cap is reached, other than that they operate as they do now.
As for something to make mining more engaged, maybe a mining probe system. Sort of like explo or PI, deploying it on a rock brings up a 3d wireframe of the rock, you get some probes that reveal a circle around them, and can move them to find deposits in the rock, focus your lasers there to get x2 yield for the next 3-4 cycles. Sure it won't scale well when you start multiboxing a dozen barges, but it gives smaller miners something to do, and might even distract them from watching local or pressing "v" from time to time.
>buy cheap loot from mission hubs >sell it in a trade hub
or >buy supplies in a trade hub cheap >sell it in a mission hub for a mark-up
bonus points if you supply remote parts of lowsec or null, easy way to charge a 5 or 10x mark-up

this is what CCP kind of hinted at at Fanfest with the upcoming mission revamp they have planned
Before I quit I was buying stuff in Jita and listing it in Perimeter. Literally just look at volumes in Jita and markup in Perimeter (oftentimes high-volume items like Iteron V ain't even listed), list ur shit and then just restock and adjust price of whatever has been undercut once per day.
I don’t know why people think they have freedom of speech here. The literal first rule of this /dog/ is “No IRL politics”. That’s as anti freedom of speech as you can get. But since you’re ranting about cancel culture, I guess I get my rant then:
In this space station, we believe Black Lives Matter, trans women are women, trans men are men, enbies exist and grammarians can frick off for rejecting the singular they, man made climate change made earth inhospitable and forced emigrants through the Eve gate, love is love, and kindness is a lot but should be second to fighting injustice.
Thanks dude. Was looking for a safe space to say that.
How do you remake combat anoms so that they require active clicking/manual piloting (therefore destroying n+1 scaling of Ishtar bots currently) without it all just being instanced? Can't have acceleration gates and multiple pockets that force you to stay near enemies because then hunters will never catch you since they'd have to warp in and use a gate just to land on grid with you.
Bots do some low risk job. Each account is hyper specialized in skills and sells its extracted SP and uses that isk to buy more plex and stay omega.
Bots using up plex increases demand and its price making real players have to pay more isk to stay omega, or even pricing some out and making them consider leaving the game.
Bots are coded to maximize risk-averseness and therefore interact with other players as little as possible. The items they dump on the market brings down the value for the real players doing those activities, so your time is worth less. >lol who cares about the poors not being able to plex
Those are real players that are out and about interacting with other players and making the game feel worth staying in. Nigh uncatchable bots aligning the nanosecond your name pops into local might as well not even exist in terms of pvp. But the effects they have on the market are very real.
Sometimes I think about getting back into this game, but then I think about all the work I have to do to get setup and learn about all hanges. And then I compare it to just jumping into call of duty and chilling, and I can't bring myself to start eve again.
just >grab some c**t's fit from online >paste it into the game >press multibuy for how many copies of the fit you want >press multifit to automatically fit how many copies of that fit you want >undock and have fun
if you're remembering those old days where you had to manually figure out what modules you need, how many you needed, manually fit them to each hull etc then those days are long fricking gone c**t
Eve's no different from cowadooty or world of tanks and other casual games, only thing that sets it apart is you have to spend maybe ~10min buying all of your next 100 respawns that you're gunna fly
join a chill corp for social reasons then
plenty of corps out there with ppl who dont care if you log in or not, they just want lads to hang out with once in a while.
also having corpmates to give fleet/mining boosts or to haul shit for you etc is nice, plus corp hangars for sharing free shit like ammo, drones, frigs/des/cruisers etc
>Fly an ECM jaguar. >Rest of Fleet in mindless blaster frigate doctrine. >We end the night killing a bunch of shit. >Battleships, Orthrus, BCs, a cerberus and several RLML caracals. >The FC wondering how did we get away with so many expensive killmails on a throwaway fleet.
iunno just play, join a corp and see if you like it again or not
it's literally free for you to log in and the whole "eve is a big time commitment" shit is a meme these days
I was watching that ihub in my cheetah, fricker was baiting other people off of the medium outpost. No idea if he was successful, I ended up heading back to station not long after.
I've done the same before, but I'd recommend that he use a coercer with standard crystals, so he doesn't have to buy ammo, you're looking at tens of thousands of rounds of blaster ammo to take down an ihub

Most would say because of thefts and betrayals and spying, leaking info to their real corp about juicy targets.
More likely it’s that people usually already are part of a corp and too apathetic to be hopping around.
Personally I think something like that would be a positive to these threads, genuine new players here and returning players that never were a part of a corp so had little reason to stick around would be able to join it. It’s just too much of an ask of people to suddenly do the whole wormhole life thing. Also you’d need someone that gets off on being a guild ceo to bother setting it all up.
I'd be 100%motivated to come back to the game if we had a real vg group with no trannies and no drama. I'd move all my shit because right now I'm just not playing at all
I just want to join a /vg/ corp where I'm not herded like Black personcattle and can do what I want
Someone make something and post the name. I would be down for casual vg guild
>why dont people from an anonymous board >who are already in their own large corps >just liek quit their corps and join a group of 5 random autistic frickheads?
lol
2 reasons for me
1. I already run a wormhole alliance
2. EVE is a game of trust and reputation. Anonymous image boards are a terrible tool for vetting both of these.
That said, I'd be open to recruiting provided that people applying don't go around making complete asses of themselves
>Why hasn't anyone made a vg guild
there are many /vg/ guilds >and started recruiting?
who would want to actively recruit antisocial psychopaths without knowing them first >Game is more fun with friends.
don't care, I won't join your corp unless you give me permissions to manage my structures
I'd be 100%motivated to come back to the game if we had a real vg group with no trannies and no drama. I'd move all my shit because right now I'm just not playing at all
>is told to join all-out 20 times each thread >doesnt join all-out
also threadly reminder that if your employment history is so long that it has a scroll bar, nobody wants your used up roastie corpussy.
>yeah im ready to settle down and contribute to an alliance, i totally wont bail the next time theres a reddit meme war or my friend makes an alt corp with a funny name!
scrollies are objectively bad people and they should be ostracised.
fan fest nerds calculated separetly . so the median is actually at least 3 .
so the reality is there is very few normies with 1 account and bunch of no-life tryhards with 4+ accounts
>Somethingawful raised its paywall a few days ago, and I heard it had something to do with you guys. What happened?
nothing to do with us
basically boils down to this
>whole game teams up to kill 1 guild >sits around with their thumb up their asses in Delve for 5 months >promise a big End-All battle >give up and just fukken leave >resort doxxing the guild on social media to try and take them down
lol

What's up with CCP's obsession with making an FPS? It's probably the most stagnant and lame genre in existence and they have demonstrated a highly consistent inability to release one successfully.
I started playing amarr be cause I like the cool ivory/gold whatever skins they have. How do you actually get this on a ship? I dont see them listed on the market anywhere.
nah
hard to kill ishtars cuz >they see you on their intel channel when you're 50 jumps away >even if you manage to filament into a system with one, they instantly align and warp to safety the second they see you in local >even if they dont notice you rightaway you have a 1/20 chance to actually warp to the correct Haven in time >even if you catch one, they're only 130mil these days, he's already replaced his ship 8 times tonight
at least ganking abyssal runners is easy.
you see the fricking thing in your overview in the system for the whole ~20min he's in there
just point and gank
bam 3bil retribution ganked with 2 or 3 catalysts
>Get into system with 3 mining barges >find their anom >they warp out instantly >safelog on the rock they are mining >wait 20 minutes and login >they immediately warp out as I load grid
why is the game like this?
>no meta changes. no new shiny ship everyone wants to skill inject into >skill injector market saturation >even with skill extracting alts it's still a 600mil/month loss
WH is largely well designed, even ingenious in parts and certainly the most fun part of eve. The fact that you need to scan all the connections is the biggest reason it's not more popular and leads to player burnout.
Turning NS into WH with permanent/semi-permanent constantly visible gates would go a long in fixing NS and introducing the basis for a bit healthier risk-reward balance.
CCP is indeed a bunch of Black folk and Kang Hilmar should have been gassed two decades ago.
Useless troony, we can see you are a post 2015 player, this is not about the cattle logging out its about the difficulty to catch someone now, with all the bot, the cita ect...
ccp 2016: make rorqs stupid powerful for mining, everyone and their dog injects 14 rorqs to hoover up null anoms, 6 gorillion supers are shitted out thanks to the resulting cheap minerals and other industry changes making it much quicker to produce scaps
ccp now: bandaid on supers and caps
nerf rorq to what it shouldve been in the first place, all those rorqual Black folk extract rorq sp now theres no hope of going back to those MULTIPLE YEARS of farm and dump it on market like they do best
of course ccp win both times from the large extractor purchases
look at the stats they released at fanfest
pre-nerf, the 1% of miners in rorqs were providing easily 90% of the game's minerals
rorq nerf was inevitable and literally the only people who complain are the morons who didnt sell their rorq in the ~18 months warning they had
point is the nerf shouldve never been necessary, they should never have been given the ability to mine as much as 5 boosted exhumers and despite hundreds of people telling them it would frick the economy even worse, they went ahead and did it anyway so they could sell more extractors
they shouldn't have been given 100km remote reps or a literal invulnerability button or infinite drones more like. these ships cannot be balanced by adjusting the mining yield
those came after
and i think the reps are fine, rorquals go in belts to boost the miners yield, possibly defenses as well, and provide enough reps for smalldong kitey bullshit to be rendered mostly ineffective
i thought at the time panic was introduced, it would be nice if it provided 99% resists and huge shield buffs to mining ships around it, at the expense of all the rorqs shields and capacitor
wormhole space >well designed
yes, perhaps except for system effects >fun
yes >thriving
don't kid yourself, nowhere in EVE has been thriving for a long time
wormholes have always been the deadest space, since forever. the "people" that live there for some reason still recommend the things that make wormhole space dead as frick be applied to the rest of the game
its true. wormhole space is alive now more than a long time, all the people who are too dumb and/or are autistically ideologically against abyssalshit are in wormhole space printing blueloot now null is ruined
All I want is 3 second delay for local so I can actually load grid before the ishtar warps out. Make living while ratting actually a tiny bit skill based
they cant even code the game so modules/warping/aligning actually happens less than ~3sec after you use them.
you think they really have the skill to fix grid loading as well?
trying to make things catchable will only punish the shittiest players. they need to fix ess so there's incentive to undock, rather than the smartest play always being to dock up and go afk
>punish the shittiest players
Thats how you learn the game. There is a reason highsec tards suck shit at pvp becuase they sit in safety with their finger up their ass for 10 years
pvpers only being able to catch week-old krabs while everyone else is totally fine is a shit situation though. the thing I said about ESS is needed so pvp isn't just this thing you press a button to avoid
You need to give players an incentive to pvp. For roamers its kills and for ratters its money. Right now it is more profitable to dock up and wait ten minutes than actually fight
perhaps you are confusing trying to avoid pvp altogether with trying to avoid losing fights, if you want people to take more losing fights, there's only one way to do it and it isn't israelitegold incentives; make it appear to them as if it's a fight they can win
>no more free multibox alts with skill extraction
damn. I had fun with multibox shenanigans, would filament into null, probe combat signatures, do them in two tengus, put a cloaked covert ops in the first room to see if there's a sneaky force recon trying to catch me+used for scouting so I wouldnt have to refit the tengus, and a cloaked industrial at a safe used to carry a frickload of HAMs and store loot. So even if I ever got caught the loot would always make it home
ESS/DBS needs to fricking go. Their aim wasn’t to disperse players to more systems, it was just to kill ratting. That’s why they don’t tie other activities to the stupid system.
Imagine less of the good asteroids spawn in anoms/moons, fewer data/relics site spawns, or abyssals causing ‘too much dimensional interference’ and they all only refill if there’s pvp in the system. The only thing that would be dispersed would be players from this game.
Your posts convey a poor attitude for playing this game. Stay in highsec if you're convinced you're locked there. Why would a corp want you among their ranks?
Pretty sure if you joined our corp you'd get bored and uninstall again
If you want to multibox using three frigates in abyssals is hard to beat atm. YouTube has plenty of guides. Personally I still just dual box level 4s in marauders to support my FW alt .
rough tier list >1~2bil/hour tier
wormholes and multibox frigate Abyssals, running highsec FOBs with 3-4 leshaks and ~36 no SP leech alts >400~600mil/hr tier
lower tier wormholes, lower tier multibox frigate abyssals, lvl 5 missions in a carrier >150mil/hr tier
lvl 4 burner missions in NPC null >100mil/hr tier
afk grinding null sites in an ishtar, normal lvl 4 missions, average tier abyssal runs
explo can be hit or miss, sometimes you'll make a few hundred mil or a few bil in an hour or two, other times you'll fly around finding jack shit for hours and hours
the main thing keeping null even relevant is that people can afk in ishtars in almost complete safety, with ~50 jumps warning of any gangs incoming through the huge areas of friendly space thanks to null being like 90% blue with each other
make some alpha accounts (buddy invite yourself for the free 1mil SP).
Train the magic 14 skills. Then weapon or armor/shield skills depending on what you plan to do with them. Simplest and lowest skill point requirement would be dual or tripleboxing abyss. 2jackdaw or 3hawks or 2retribution1deacon are the multibox meta.
>Look at Eve for the first time in years >Everyone screaming that its dying >Minni left, and some guy named Thatcher took over for goon >Look here and the reddit for eve >Same opinions for the most part that CCP jumped the shark >Just youtubing eve online shows nothing but outrage videos
I'm reinstalling just to try the game out for the legit first time (playing years ago I just stopped after the tutorial). This outrage across the game over seems to big for CCP to ignore. I guess I have wishful thinking, but wouldn't it make sense that CCP cater to the community they already have after dropping the ball (seemingly a bunch of times?) instead of trying to draw a new hip crowd in that clearly hasn't worked in the past?
They seemed to be convinced that they need to draw "fresh blood" so they try to change things up to make it as easy as possible for room temp IQ people to play the game. What they don't realize though is that an easy game is not compelling enough for the room temp IQs to go in and only enrages the people who've already invested time and money to this damn game.
its just butthurt rorqbabbies mad that their ship got nerfed after ~3 years of warnings that itll be nerfed, also non-goons buttmad that an 18-month war ultimately resulted in doing nothing but wasting their time, and nullgays upset that NPCnull, wormholers and highsec abyssal runners make more money than them.
also these morons all forget that after 2 years of covid things are opening up.
no-one wants to spend the first properly free summer playing fricking video games.
everyone's out doing shit.
also for every 1 butthurt nullbear bittervet having a cry on the forums there's 10 people actually having fun, killing chinks with their mates over a few beers every night
>yeah welcome to being old, welcome to everything is a disappointment, welcome to a bag of doritos and a 2L bottle of mountain dew doesn't taste as great as it did when you were 16.
>come back to eve, it's fine thay said >ok, i want to play some eve this weekend >login, checking for suignatures around >some t1 combat garbage noone cares about and relicdata sites with 5mil loot >ok, standart sleepe cache yay. 20mil blue loot, some shitty bpo's >proteus combat scanning me, maybe 1v1? cheking killboard ,- he kills everything with his 3 alts >i'm done anyway, wait him to warp in and peace out, he chases me so i have to afk >okay, lets continue. few wormholes nearby, jump in. >almost no anomalies , one my incoming signature. ok, i'd better go >i'm probably done, time to check steam sales , but wait t3 combat signature! >lets gooo, 20 boring minutes but i can get a bil >aand there is two lachesis in local. going anyway, bil is a bil >cleaning third pocket, local spike , osprey on 1au >checking killboard, okay it's a guy with at least 6 alts >lachesis , curse, ospresy warps in. paladin on scan >peace out to station. >frick, system is a tunnel and there is only one station. >guy is still in local , probably finishing site and alts camping gates >logging out. not sure if i log in back
GJ finding one of the two constellations permacamped by some Russian autist in an otherwise empty LS. Next time enter somewhere not few jumps from Jita/Amarr and enjoy quiet.

> but but anon, this is remote location . see, it's so much better because jita anon and also russians everywhere even under my bed, and in my closet looking at me anon
Mark sucks as a cms member he is focusing on the wrong things and i think he should never been a cms candidate in the first place!!!!!!
Do wormhole space need to change? yes the change to allow more small and mid sized groups into wormhole space!!!!
The structure change made it alot harder for small groups too keep structures in wormhole space since all it takes is 1 guy in a oracle to reinforce it when the smaller group have no people online.
What will happen then after a week of doing it someone will roll into it see the chance for some content and shot the structure
It's not even whether or not he's in a small group, it's a matter of wormhole space is no longer small group friendly due to timer changes on medium structures. Now you're either forced to coalesce into larger blobs, pushing blue donut meta into wormhole space, or just leave entirely.
it makes little difference, one extra timer is not the be all and end all. if you can't defend, call some friends or put your valuable shit + a pos tower and fuel in haulers and spend a couple days touching grass. living in wormholes was never supposed to be easy.

The problem is pinging for each timer if 1 guys keep reffing it when you are off burns people out!!! it is not sustainible!!! The argument you cannot defend the timer is bs!!! i cannot defend the timer if my structure is reffed 24/7 all it takes is that we connect to the wrong hole and bam we lose the structure/pos and getting a large structure is not a option

Imagine how soul crushing it would be to be a CCP dev working on the NPE and knowing whatever work you’ve done will be gone in 10 months when some middle management fricktard decides to totally revamp the system and delete all your work.
Hopefully that person is blacklisted from the industry since that's company destroying
>since that's company destroying
They literally do not care.
Well, hopefully the other companies that do, blacklist him
EVE EVOLVED
how did nobody think to call it "Eve-olved"
That would imply the changes are over. It's currently eve-olving and once its evilution is complete it will have eve-olved. From there is may gain content or eve-olve some more

We only have two major bumps since 2014, F2P and COVID-19
Fricking Walking in Stations and Dust 514 era proves that people just want cool shit to do in game even if the state of the game was broken.
And no one, fricking no one likes Fozziesov or citadel warfare.
Dust 514 should have been on pc and accessible through WiS while the cost to maintain killing people in dust should have been tied to isk and basically a handful of level 2 missions would fund you for many losses in it.
blame middle management of a toxic company shilling exporting dev cost with no insight for the future other than this quarters promotion.
I'm very surprised player counts didn't tank harder during this summer. Perhaps we reached some sort of floor with bots and 24/7 online turboautists left.

OFFICAL RANKED LIST OF WORST EVE ONLINE PLAYERS:
1: WORMHOLERS
1.1: LEVEL 4 MISSION RUNNERS
2:PEOPLE WHO STILL PLAY THE GAME
1001: NULLBABIES
100001:ELITE HOBOURABLE SOLO PVPERS

t. wormholer.
You actually play the game without derp alliance wars and have something that at least resembles fun in eve. This angers the nulltard.
>he didn’t accept the 1 trit

daily reminder that fewer players means there should be fewer systems. it's time to delete wormhole space
>Kill the game more
It's not really a pvp game if you have to pve to make the pvp ships
if the universe gets more empty as people quit then the game gets worse. if they delete systems as people go, the game doesn't get worse
They should start with nullsec really. People report taking many jumps seeing no one in local and that's a fact. Plenty of whines about it.
Instead of doing stupid shit to the game, they can add good shit to the game and stop invalidating people's time and efforts in it via moronic changes
>add good shit
they have added far too much. it's time to cut back
Then quit

Every time
Did you fight a sov war in the pos-bash era?
The only thing boring was cleanup AFTER you snap the enemy's will. The mad dash to build and bash wasn't boring, just aggravating as frick.
>remember when you had to fly your ships to do stuff
>It was just aggravating
Citadels continue to be a mistake
We shall never again see the days of a conga line of ospreys repping a tower to save sov for another day.
Those were good times.
Why is the Abaddons capacitor so messed up?
25% less cap recharge and much lower capacitor.
Built by minnie slaves. Why would slaves build their captives a good ship to wage war against their own kind with?
Because the Apoc used to have a 5% to cap amount per level but it was garbage so CCP just gave it the 25% cap for free and then gave it an optimal range bonus.
This was like in 2012 when they did the tiericide stuff
It wouldn't be so bad if its speed and acceleration wasn't abysmal as well, the Abaddon packs a pretty heavy punch and has a ton of EHP. You can "fix" the cap issue with cap transfers, you can't fix the ship moving only slightly faster than a capital ship.
the abaddon would be OP if it could fire all 8 of its guns at once
Anyone else not being able to confirm a market order edit with enter key?
It's driving me fricking nuts
It was patched today.
bad cap was a deliberate balance thing on the abaddon to compensate for having good bonuses. it didn't work out, it's not a real downside because cap boosters exist. ccp don't care and just left it for 15 years or whatever
They should just integrate scifi-skinned Foxhole into eve. The two games would synergize so nicely.
>combining two broken games to make one really broken game
>two broken games
Is it true they're hiring a lot of devs right now and they're just making them work on two other game projects that arent EVE?
I’m going to apply. I figure by the time they figure out I lied about all of my qualifications they’ll have moved on to their next failed project.
It's really fricking over isn't it

why are nullsec players like this
Starved for content. Current Humans are culturally into making nightmares beyond comprehension
Because you're a homosexual
You will never know how bored null sec players are until you become one
>8 mining barges + rorqual dock up from my 1 frigate
>vargur undocks and starts talking shit
being a gigahomosexual is just reddit/nullbloc culture. what I don't get is why they think they're good players when it should be obvious to them that they aren't
Would giving everybody a single free omega account save eve? Let's pretend people wouldn't multibox free accounts in meaningful numbers but would generally pay for their extra accounts.
Can you finally leave your ship or is game still shit?
wtf I have to pay isk to buy stuff with loyalty points, the frick is the point
to sell them for more isk
I’m going to guess it is a tiny isk sink in the game.
Yes, any payment to npc corps is a sink.
It's to sink ISK out of the Economy, Anom. Missions are an ISK faucet, so LP being a sink helps balance it out.
the real sink is grinding tags to buy fricking anything from a loyalty store that you also could just sell instead but you'll eventually have to dig your standings out of the gutter regardless of what you use them for.
stop doing dumb shit
Has this imploded yet? I've read a lot of turboautists complaining a few months ago because there apparently was no new content for the last 2 years.
It's been dead for years, it's just meant for rich people to gank poor people because they're too pussy to kill hobos in real life.
>last 2 years
Try last 10 years
the kinds of autists that complain loudly about the game are the kinds of players CCP is trying to get rid of
game's going great and is best its ever been
the fact it still even has a fanfest when other, larger game companies cant afford to hold their own anymore speaks volumes.
FW & mission changes later this year and gfx updates are gunna be sick
ignore the moronic bittervet haters that want this shit to still play like it did in 2006
>game's going great and is best its ever been

ye, and it's not free. turboautists have to pay for the tickets, food, everything.

EVE fanfests are more similar to renfaires than they're to things like comic-con
Fleeting needs to be more streamlined, If I want to fleet with others right NOW there should be a system in place to facilitate that.
if you attempt to join fleet with more than five people in it already you should just get banned for 5 minutes with a message to touch grass.

Pirate players should simply be banned from hisec faster.
Not that it changes anything because they're all multibox bots
Remove skills.
And turn the game into another arcade shitfest? No.
I haven't played EVE in a while but when I did play it that was the impression that I got.
>it promotes a different playstyle
aka not playing the game and just playing a discord sociopath simulation instead, or playing the rmt game instead, or preferably both
frick off
I think it's funny that people can still "play" the game even if they're not playing the actual game.
You are the product
worst idea i've ever heard in this thread, and that includes resistance-penetrating ammo and drorposting.
Eve eventually needs to go f2p, let's not kid ourselves.
Uhh it already is f2p sweaty
>take things that made Eve a niche MMO and the longest running MMO in history
>remove them to make the game more like all the other MMO’s that have already died
>every aspect of eve is perfect and can't be improved in any way
Yes.
You don't want to improve it. You want to turn it into generic cuckfest like ffxiv. Kys.
Is it still worth it to go back to EVE today?
I quit in 2012 and could not have been happier ever since.
No.

I wonder how ready their next FPS is as I think since fanfest at least most of their lore teaser stuff has featured infantry. Maybe they plan on releasing basically PC Dust 2.0. Perhaps this is the "largest content patch so far".
Spoiler: nothing will get released in the end.

EVE boomers are peak of sanity compared to the autism in Immortal and various gachashit
Both are shit.
Wasting moneytime for anime jpeg is literally the same as wasting moneytime for a ship in eve.
At least you get to use jpeg in gachas, most of the time. You won't lose it the second you use it.
EVE doesn't have megawhales.
>things that happened
Even if it were true, it's nothing compared to gachagays.
>44 min video
is it really 100k? or is this one of those clickbait ones where it's just "technically" 100k but he didn't really spend that much money.
any gacha is an order of magnitude worse than any other form of video games.
It's actually 100k. You need about that much to fully upgrade a character in Diablo Immortal.
holy moly. i used to play diablo 2 before since it's a game that you just buy once and you can replay again and again until you get tired of it.

Decided to give Eve a try recently. What should my goals as a new player be? I've mostly been doing boring solo mining runs because I have no clue what else to do aside from run missions. Tried joining a faction war and had literally no idea what I was doing.
don't play for 2 years until you have enough sp to fly anything remotely well

>What should my goals as a new player be?
find something you enjoy doing
branch out and do a variety of shit, you'll burn out if you only ever grind the frick out of 1 thing all the time
find a corp, meet people, make friends, do shit with them
dont get baited into thinking flying bigger shit = better, like 90% of the game takes place in Cruisers and smaller
missiles & drones are top tier for PVE activities
this. i can't count the amount of times that i've quit eve because i just burned the hell out of just one isk-making activity.
And because of this thing called skill points a new player can't easily switch between activities efficiently.
Stop lying you guys. There's no grind in eve! You can do ANYTHING.
just in frigates you can do lvl 4 burner missions, abyssals, explo and pvp
burners pay more than ratting in null, easy 150mil/hr in a frigate which is why there are so many chink botters running them
ishtar, gila, muninn, omen navy, sacrilege and cerberus are all top tier cruisers worth getting into later

Yes! Make it a Sega Dreamcast exclusive!
I'm a new player and from the limited research I've done I think I know what I can do.
I just wanna use Caldari missile ships (because missiles are cool) and grind out PvE missions and maybe join some PvP fights.
Will I have... "fun"?
Depends on what you consider gun.
Even can be fun the same way coprophiles consider steaming pile of shit fun. Maybe you finally found yours.
Missiles are cool but they're micro intensive if you want max efficiency. You have to switch to the next target when the enemies are about to die or you will be wasting your missiles and your DPS.
you will join all-out
you will train the cerb
you will have fun
i got kicked from all-out
Just started the game yesterday and tried to copy a build for my ship but I don't have enough CPU for my nosferatu.
How do I fix this?

Shit bro. Starting eve this late, you are just beginning on very hard while everyone around you is ng+ with stockpiles of crap.
Download https://github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/releases and play around with the modules until everything fits. Most of the modules have variations (so called "meta modules") with less fitting cost (usually 'compact' in the name).
You're better with a neut and a cap booster, you want to shut down their active tank, and outlast them with your superior cap reserves.
What should I replace?
game prob
>wants to larp as a stealth bomber
stealth bombers might sound really cool but they really don't do what you think they do

Is this a valid strategy?
>cruisers

You should know by now that Eve has always been used as a testing ground to real-world economic changes. Here's the situation, and also a cat;
>Resources diminished
>Isk faucets tightened
>Market participation dominated by """investors"""
>Players discouraged from overall participation in their own game(society)
>Null systems held ransom for rent via bots
There's more similarities, but this list is some of the bigger points. The best way I can see for Eve to move forward is a WWIII scenario against the LANDLEECHES, in any system they may exist. Hbu?
asset safety in null made this possible. any wealth contained in a citadel must also be destroyed once it is destroyed. no magic tech insurance.
kill all brutor (Black folk)

I dream of Ashy stomping on my balls
>Posting a cat in /dog/
Didn't even read the rest
>Resources diminished
>Isk faucets tightened

How can I gank all gilas that run abyssals?
by ignoring them and trying to find the actual pro Abyssal runners who do T6's in bling Vagabonds/Sacrileges or triple-box Retri/Retri/Deacon bling fits instead.

How the frick do you tackle shit in this game. Most of the time when you get into system everything is already aligned off and ready to warp.
They're bots so you have to shotgun havens and shit to hope you land on one before it warps off after it detects you in local
Remember it like racism: blue eyes are best
Not enough info, are you trying to fight ventures/vexors in low or something?
Ishtars and mining fleets in null but I will tackle anything if there is a chance for a fight

give up on trying to catch krabs. just find a busy enough system and lurk there for hours
K-space roaming is dumb and gay.

I don’t think scamming is a good option for that anon if he’s diligently working to repay a loan made by his dying corporation.
>he’s diligently working to repay a loan made by his dying corporation
wagie IRL, wagie in game. how can i escape this eternal nightmare.
Repet

The best way to make isk as a new player is whatever doesn’t burn you the frick out.
I have fun looking for really good deals and hauling them in a frigate with sub-insta align times.

Other than eve trade and obsessively looking over eve marketer are there already built tools to help find me the best deals?

Get voice modulator, pretend to be a gurl gamer and collect trillions in isk and assets from simps.
I feel the same way, fell for one of those scams back when I first started playing. I was fuming over the 500M

What made you quit the game?
>pic unrelated
shitadels, the chinese bot scourge after the game was made f2p, skill injectors, login rewards, and most of all, most of my evebros stopped playing before I did, so eventually I stopped logging into to eve even as a glorified IRC client
CCP systematically destroying alternative playstyles until only nullsec F1 monkey is viable.
Game takes too much time/devotion to be enjoyable.
How long until the witch hunt spreads to other alliances? I'm pretty sure there's haram logs of past and current leadership of major alliances using gamer words in various channels. kek

In their war against afk, ccp should remake combat anomalies. They now have the tools to find some creative solution to keep people at their keyboard. Increase the payout for the individual and frick over the bots.
i used to have respect for SA because unlike reddit and tumblrtards they were offensive and could take what they dealt, I guess that isn't so anymore

>L3 security missions 5~10m isk/hour (alphas cant L4)
>one sitting of this 1.5mil heron is worth 170 hours of L3 missions
yeah, if you're a true alpha newbie dont skip out on the week's worth of training the exploration skills. 19 sigs scanned, but half of them were in high sec while I was learning the minigame then I needlejacked to null
math'd wronged sorry. still, frick those ancient security missions
Does it mean that all the triggerred trannies are leaving gsf? Might consider rejoining.
they're taking over
why don't you consider getting a job
too bad to have to be clairvoyant to station trade
>buy cheap loot from mission hubs
>sell it in a trade hub
or
>buy supplies in a trade hub cheap
>sell it in a mission hub for a mark-up
bonus points if you supply remote parts of lowsec or null, easy way to charge a 5 or 10x mark-up
that's not station trading, that's arbitrage
its how you actually make money trading though
>
Just take the somewhat randomized nature of abysses and apply it to combat sites, instead of 2 variants, each one always having the same triggers and spawns, have it draw from a list of 15 or so potential waves
this is what CCP kind of hinted at at Fanfest with the upcoming mission revamp they have planned
That’s not arbitrage, arbitrage is exploiting the bid/ask gap, basically just station trading
Before I quit I was buying stuff in Jita and listing it in Perimeter. Literally just look at volumes in Jita and markup in Perimeter (oftentimes high-volume items like Iteron V ain't even listed), list ur shit and then just restock and adjust price of whatever has been undercut once per day.
that's not station trading
One idea would be to replace most of PVE content with basically POE mapping system.
How could you possibly sell core scanner launchers in a station and not put scanner probes in it as well? Are you insane?
How do you remake combat anoms so that they require active clicking/manual piloting (therefore destroying n+1 scaling of Ishtar bots currently) without it all just being instanced? Can't have acceleration gates and multiple pockets that force you to stay near enemies because then hunters will never catch you since they'd have to warp in and use a gate just to land on grid with you.
>implying CCP really cares about reducing botting
I assume bots would typically sell the isk so they compete with CCP. Then again they pay subs and inflate player counts vOv
https://jesse.forthewin.com/blog/2011/09/index.html
0 reason to assume it ain't the same way at CCP
they don't pay subs, that's the point of botting; all it does is inflate the plex price so that other people buy more plex
I don't know what's the botting meta nowadays but unless they are all running alpha gilas or something then they indeed need to sub.
Ban russia and china and like 90% of the bots disappear. And by ban I mean nuke the countries so no life exists.
isk machine
Sometimes I think about getting back into this game, but then I think about all the work I have to do to get setup and learn about all hanges. And then I compare it to just jumping into call of duty and chilling, and I can't bring myself to start eve again.
just
>grab some c**t's fit from online
>paste it into the game
>press multibuy for how many copies of the fit you want
>press multifit to automatically fit how many copies of that fit you want
>undock and have fun
if you're remembering those old days where you had to manually figure out what modules you need, how many you needed, manually fit them to each hull etc then those days are long fricking gone c**t
Eve's no different from cowadooty or world of tanks and other casual games, only thing that sets it apart is you have to spend maybe ~10min buying all of your next 100 respawns that you're gunna fly

should I log in
I feel like playing eve but I can't bring myself to actually do it.
I just do some exploration, ded, and abyssals.
Joining a corp and being told to do this or that sounds like a pain.
join a chill corp for social reasons then
plenty of corps out there with ppl who dont care if you log in or not, they just want lads to hang out with once in a while.
also having corpmates to give fleet/mining boosts or to haul shit for you etc is nice, plus corp hangars for sharing free shit like ammo, drones, frigs/des/cruisers etc
my corp is literally just a bunch of newbs following FOB fleets for free money
They don't give us anything for free other than that, but they don't ask for anything at all either.
plenty of corps aren't like that and are just like a chat channel
>Fly an ECM jaguar.
>Rest of Fleet in mindless blaster frigate doctrine.
>We end the night killing a bunch of shit. >Battleships, Orthrus, BCs, a cerberus and several RLML caracals.

eve always has a special place in my heart. I only ever mined. I spent years just mining and spinning and chilling.
I want to go back, but I'm not sure. Anyone have the answers?
Don't go back.

it's literally free for you to log in and the whole "eve is a big time commitment" shit is a meme these days

They must be new, underestimating avg eve players stubbornness.
I was watching that ihub in my cheetah, fricker was baiting other people off of the medium outpost. No idea if he was successful, I ended up heading back to station not long after.
Coercer is an underrated little boat.
I've done the same before, but I'd recommend that he use a coercer with standard crystals, so he doesn't have to buy ammo, you're looking at tens of thousands of rounds of blaster ammo to take down an ihub
Plural of Oneiros is Oneiroi

Why hasn't anyone made a vg guild and started recruiting? Game is more fun with friends.
Also you’d need someone that gets off on being a guild ceo to bother setting it all up.
>why dont people from an anonymous board
>who are already in their own large corps
>just liek quit their corps and join a group of 5 random autistic frickheads?
lol
I mean that's fine, I will just go back to ultima online nbd.
t. pubbie
>At some point friendly fire was 100% allowed between corp members, and ccp didn't care.
> ccp didn't care
no, it was part of the game design (and thats the way it shouldve stayed, cause I hate change)
>I need 9 people to spend 30 hours a week being a bot for me, any takers?
2 reasons for me
1. I already run a wormhole alliance
2. EVE is a game of trust and reputation. Anonymous image boards are a terrible tool for vetting both of these.
That said, I'd be open to recruiting provided that people applying don't go around making complete asses of themselves
which warmhole alliance sir my corp wants to join
oruze man????
Your alliance cannot beat my alliance
>Why hasn't anyone made a vg guild
there are many /vg/ guilds
>and started recruiting?
who would want to actively recruit antisocial psychopaths without knowing them first
>Game is more fun with friends.
don't care, I won't join your corp unless you give me permissions to manage my structures
I'd be 100%motivated to come back to the game if we had a real vg group with no trannies and no drama. I'd move all my shit because right now I'm just not playing at all
That would be cool. A holer corp would be more suitable though.
>no trannies
fair enough
>no drama
unrealistic
best we can do is 'some trannies' and 'occasional drama'.
I just want to join a /vg/ corp where I'm not herded like Black personcattle and can do what I want
So why don't you start one?
Someone make something and post the name. I would be down for casual vg guild
>is told to join all-out 20 times each thread
>doesnt join all-out
also threadly reminder that if your employment history is so long that it has a scroll bar, nobody wants your used up roastie corpussy.
my employment history is so long that it has a scroll bar, and half of them are renamed corporation because ccp nuked them
>yeah im ready to settle down and contribute to an alliance, i totally wont bail the next time theres a reddit meme war or my friend makes an alt corp with a funny name!
scrollies are objectively bad people and they should be ostracised.
alliance drones are bad people and should be ostracized
make corps with funny names until ccp nukes them and then make more
haha my corp is called BONGLORDS420, its a weed reference. Basedcucks stay seething.

Post corporation history to prove you're not a scrollie
Loyaltychads rise up
Hiding the names won't stop anyone
Anyone else got more got 13 mil from ccp :D?

did you sub and not queue for months or did you have a bunch of tiericided skills
What did you tell the support team? What lies must I feed them?
Noo lies where told at all
What did you say? I want to bamboozle these fricks for sp
Just told them the time i was away and that i had forgotten to unsubscribe during a ceartain time period and requested the skillpoints that i would have trained during that time if i had somthing in my skull queue
Well frick. That's not going to fly on my end.
Man, trans people ruin everything.

What's up with CCP's obsession with making an FPS? It's probably the most stagnant and lame genre in existence and they have demonstrated a highly consistent inability to release one successfully.
>Estimated 50 minutes
Lol that's such a lie
Haven't touched Dust but the idea of an FPS with a fitting screen seems fashionable.
did they fix the game yet
They are too busy working on tutorial.
Eve is THE boomer game. Anybody sounding younger than 50 gets instantly bullied out of comms.
I started playing amarr be cause I like the cool ivory/gold whatever skins they have. How do you actually get this on a ship? I dont see them listed on the market anywhere.
anon most amarr ships are ivory/gold by default, there isnt a specific skin for it
Purity of the throne for white power skins.
I don't know in what dimension CCP is living but this shit game is not worth 20 EUSSR bucks a month.
They should give everyone a single free omega account and charge for extra accounts or something.
Hopefully it will reduce the number of multiboxing. 1 account per person would go a long way to fixing the game.
What an objectively moronic take.

Yeah bro making it a asiaticclick game is so much better. Whoever can afford 100$ I subs and 600 apm wins!

how is that could be real anons
Most of the people are too dumb to play eve. That said, you need to be pretty dumb to play eve, too.
I don't actually pay money myself for my accounts. I also have boomer tier apm.
Game will continue to die until multiboxing is gone. Kvetch seethe and cope but numbers WILL continu to drop.
fix drones so you can't multibox infinity krab accounts
instancegays frick the game up more than ishtars. atleast with ishtars you can kill them.
nah
hard to kill ishtars cuz
>they see you on their intel channel when you're 50 jumps away
>even if you manage to filament into a system with one, they instantly align and warp to safety the second they see you in local
>even if they dont notice you rightaway you have a 1/20 chance to actually warp to the correct Haven in time
>even if you catch one, they're only 130mil these days, he's already replaced his ship 8 times tonight
at least ganking abyssal runners is easy.
you see the fricking thing in your overview in the system for the whole ~20min he's in there
just point and gank

>Get into system with 3 mining barges

why is the game like this?
bots
Local. Local needs to be removed.
they tried that
the time for it was a decade ago or more, no chance now
Probably right.
Blackout should have come with proper intel revamp and they should have told the whining nulltards to man up or uninstall.

wrong, multiboxing is fine; input casting and botting are bad and already banned
multiboxing would be ok if they cut down on ships that require almost no piloting, like barges and drone krabs
When someone mentions gas in this game I'm reminded of that embarrassing moment.
New thread maybe?
page 4 is like one more day
>no meta changes. no new shiny ship everyone wants to skill inject into

christ I was thinking about checking it but thanks for saving me the effort.
Buff logi ships to have combat capabilities, *gasp* did i fixed eve?
scriptable reps that deal damage when they're put in offensive mode.
i don't care about "fixing" shit , i just want to watch how the whole thing is burning alon with autistic tryhards
what brain problems do you need to look at wormhole space and think it's well designed, fun and thriving
WH is shit, but they still make 25% of all the isk of eve because CCP is a bunch of Black person.
CCP is indeed a bunch of Black folk and Kang Hilmar should have been gassed two decades ago.
>hunt miners and whoever plays the game "wrong"
>people immediately log out in case of any danger
>hur wHyIsThEgAmElIkEtHiS?77??7
fricking moron
Useless troony, we can see you are a post 2015 player, this is not about the cattle logging out its about the difficulty to catch someone now, with all the bot, the cita ect...
now 1b/mo to play without gaining sp
thanks ccp
huge rorq nerf after years of removing sp sinks and encouraging rorq use very good idea yes?
Only way I keep my sp alts profitable is PI and the 400 Plex / month sale they just did.
damn 400 plex/mo ccp really are/were desperate
You mean the ingame purchase of omega? Last time it was 475 or so. Neat. Is it still on?
no its 500 now, ccp increased the plex price enough
>rorq nerf
>huge
what?
ccp 2016: make rorqs stupid powerful for mining, everyone and their dog injects 14 rorqs to hoover up null anoms, 6 gorillion supers are shitted out thanks to the resulting cheap minerals and other industry changes making it much quicker to produce scaps
ccp now: bandaid on supers and caps
nerf rorq to what it shouldve been in the first place, all those rorqual Black folk extract rorq sp now theres no hope of going back to those MULTIPLE YEARS of farm and dump it on market like they do best
of course ccp win both times from the large extractor purchases
Can someone tell me how to read Somethingawful threads without giving them money?
It's just trannies sucking on each others' dicks or whatever festering holes they have so not much point.
I really like their Let's Play and Anime discussion threads. Ganker doesn't have those, they just have waifu threads.
look at the stats they released at fanfest
pre-nerf, the 1% of miners in rorqs were providing easily 90% of the game's minerals
rorq nerf was inevitable and literally the only people who complain are the morons who didnt sell their rorq in the ~18 months warning they had
the nerf was tiny. giant game destroying buffs are treated like no big deal, and then a 5% nerf is like the holocaust
point is the nerf shouldve never been necessary, they should never have been given the ability to mine as much as 5 boosted exhumers and despite hundreds of people telling them it would frick the economy even worse, they went ahead and did it anyway so they could sell more extractors
they shouldn't have been given 100km remote reps or a literal invulnerability button or infinite drones more like. these ships cannot be balanced by adjusting the mining yield
those came after
and i think the reps are fine, rorquals go in belts to boost the miners yield, possibly defenses as well, and provide enough reps for smalldong kitey bullshit to be rendered mostly ineffective
i thought at the time panic was introduced, it would be nice if it provided 99% resists and huge shield buffs to mining ships around it, at the expense of all the rorqs shields and capacitor
>and provide enough reps for smalldong kitey bullshit to be rendered mostly ineffective
this is a bad thing
you have a tiny penis and no balls

wormhole space
>well designed
yes, perhaps except for system effects
>fun
yes
>thriving
don't kid yourself, nowhere in EVE has been thriving for a long time
wormholes have always been the deadest space, since forever. the "people" that live there for some reason still recommend the things that make wormhole space dead as frick be applied to the rest of the game
lowsec is deader
its true. wormhole space is alive now more than a long time, all the people who are too dumb and/or are autistically ideologically against abyssalshit are in wormhole space printing blueloot now null is ruined
doubt it
All I want is 3 second delay for local so I can actually load grid before the ishtar warps out.
Right now it is more profitable to dock up and wait ten minutes than actually fight
pvp is the incentive moron, it's the end that everything else in the game is the means to
Yeah except shit teir nullgays will do anything to avoid pvp and thus should be incentivised through israelitegold.
perhaps you are confusing trying to avoid pvp altogether with trying to avoid losing fights, if you want people to take more losing fights, there's only one way to do it and it isn't israelitegold incentives; make it appear to them as if it's a fight they can win
Ishtars will dock up when they see my solo retri on scan. They won't take a fight becuase they have no reason to.
>no more free multibox alts with skill extraction
I'm p sure we're gonna see some more desperation in the new sub 20k PCU world before the end of the year.
There's gonna be some bonkers NS buffs at least.
They won't do shit with ns now. They promised fw rework. That is gonna be the dealbreaker.
FW doesn't need a rework, the problems with FW are problems which affect all the rest of the game, namely botting and sh*tadels
Accessible LFF(Looking for fleet)
>muh cits
>For roamers its kills and for ratters its money
right, exactly what would happen if ess wasn't trash
ESS/DBS needs to fricking go. Their aim wasn’t to disperse players to more systems, it was just to kill ratting. That’s why they don’t tie other activities to the stupid system.
Imagine less of the good asteroids spawn in anoms/moons, fewer data/relics site spawns, or abyssals causing ‘too much dimensional interference’ and they all only refill if there’s pvp in the system. The only thing that would be dispersed would be players from this game.
Send Corp invite to Rem0nster Rel0aded
bitchy whiny new players need not apply
new players that can apply themselves without moaning how its not fair, may apply inside.
thankfully I was right and the retention rate was 10%. so now there's lots of open space and wormholes. Perfect time to come back.
Your posts convey a poor attitude for playing this game. Stay in highsec if you're convinced you're locked there. Why would a corp want you among their ranks?
Pretty sure if you joined our corp you'd get bored and uninstall again
your post conveys reddit spacing so i'd probably leave due to trannies before i got bored.
ess and dbs are not similar
I can't wait to be the only player on TQ so I can finally play eve as it was meant to be played.
>what is a paragraph
I don't know dipshit what is one? you have yet to demonstrate with your troony posting.
>what is a paragraph
definitely not anything that you wrote dumbass, paragraphs are indented and don't have new lines after sentences
>$20 subcription
I would pay the 20 bucks if they reverted the game to pre 2013.
i would pay the 20 bucks if they hadnt spent the last six years actively making the entire game worse and driving veteran players away
I guess asking to redpill someone new to multiboxing is completely pointless?
redpill? stop using meme chudcel words and say what you mean
Yes, new players are not going to fricking multiboxing lol.
as in You want to know about multiboxing?
Yes. Been gone for about five years, have no idea what the new money makers are.
If you want to multibox using three frigates in abyssals is hard to beat atm. YouTube has plenty of guides. Personally I still just dual box level 4s in marauders to support my FW alt .
rough tier list
>1~2bil/hour tier
wormholes and multibox frigate Abyssals, running highsec FOBs with 3-4 leshaks and ~36 no SP leech alts
>400~600mil/hr tier
lower tier wormholes, lower tier multibox frigate abyssals, lvl 5 missions in a carrier
>150mil/hr tier
lvl 4 burner missions in NPC null
>100mil/hr tier
afk grinding null sites in an ishtar, normal lvl 4 missions, average tier abyssal runs
explo can be hit or miss, sometimes you'll make a few hundred mil or a few bil in an hour or two, other times you'll fly around finding jack shit for hours and hours
the main thing keeping null even relevant is that people can afk in ishtars in almost complete safety, with ~50 jumps warning of any gangs incoming through the huge areas of friendly space thanks to null being like 90% blue with each other
If you want to own capitals and never get fricked over then multiboxing is necessary.
make some alpha accounts (buddy invite yourself for the free 1mil SP).
Train the magic 14 skills. Then weapon or armor/shield skills depending on what you plan to do with them. Simplest and lowest skill point requirement would be dual or tripleboxing abyss. 2jackdaw or 3hawks or 2retribution1deacon are the multibox meta.

You don't have to worry anon, nonwhites can't understand this game.
>Look at Eve for the first time in years
>Everyone screaming that its dying
>Minni left, and some guy named Thatcher took over for goon
>Look here and the reddit for eve
>Same opinions for the most part that CCP jumped the shark
>Just youtubing eve online shows nothing but outrage videos

Yeah its because of the player, there is more chinck bot in the game than real player right now.
and ccp says pcu counts are down because """""it's summer""""", going to laugh when the kids go back to school and the player count drops another 20%
Wormhole space is best space!!!
Are T3Ds the best for transporting high value/low volume items in high sec? sub2s align, good tank.

Sounds like Amamake.
What will happen then after a week of doing it someone will roll into it see the chance for some content and shot the structure
how about you secure your wormhole and protect the timer dipshit
or just drop an assbel
smaller groups cannot do that!!! use your brain!
and a azbel makes you a bigger target
have you tried not being a dumb small group then? hell if you're that small you can just live out of a pos
so would I tbh
Dont matter the pos would be bashed. Use your brain for once in your life
nobody bashes poses anymore idiot
especially if you fill with ewar and guns
people do it all the time
Polarized oracle would like to know your location.
J163435, come visit anytime
The argument you cannot defend the timer is bs!!! i cannot defend the timer if my structure is reffed 24/7 all it takes is that we connect to the wrong hole and bam we lose the structure/pos and getting a large structure is not a option
take your meds schizo, living in wormholes isnt supposed to be easy
Seen it happen! But people like you would have no clue about it since you are apparently brain dead!
you dont care about wormhole space go back to null/low/high sec
just dont get evicted. its literally this easy.
im a veteran wormholer btw
Honestly, if I saw an azbel dropped by some 5 man group in a wormhole, I'd go and destroy it for ez money.
Copy pasta baited.
how do you guys plex and pay for ships?
for me its embezzlement
Back when everything was so cheap didnt that just mean the only things that mattered were capitals?

I'm perfectly fine with the game and WHs being HC but there's just some basic risk/effort/reward calculation involved.
the risk of this happening is pretty low tbh unless you're serious carebears and someone has your number
