its boring if your a 1st party gay but ive been having a great time with smaller niche jap titles, hornier than other console games, getting modern physical version ofs classics and this is all from solid state carts so you dont have to play some 2d 1990s RPG with a 800watt computer or your ps4s disc driving and hard driving spinning at 1000s of ridicolous RPMs for the type of game.

Modern Nintendo games are bland and have completely lost what little edge thier games used to have.

IMO the big problem I feel is we went from having (3)DS + Console games coming out of Nintendo to now just Console games, HD game development still slows things down so we are overall getting less Nintendo games.
Nintendo has been a boring company making mediocre/average as frick games for the past decade and a half. The only reason people still pretend they're such amazing devs now is 98% because of nostalgia/emotional-attachment. Even with a good bit of Nintendo games selling 7+ million now on Switch, no-one ever actually talks about them because there's nothing to talk about. They're just whelming whatever products made for children(which are their main audience) and women. Even the ones that review great AND sell millions like Tears Of the Kingdom are forgotten almost immediately, and get almost no discussion from anyone other than staunch Nintendo fans.
Which really tells you the products they make now aren't anything to actually write home about.

FF Rebirth is a PS5 exclusive, and DD2 is a sequel to a niche game that many haven't played. Comparing them to Nintendo's stuff that sell 7+mil on their console doesn't make Nintendo come out looking good. If your sales are so high yet still no-one talks about nor gives a shit about your products, that's not something to cheer.

2019 to 2023 was basically a big switch drought. There were a few big releases in that time (mario maker 2, metroid dread, animal crossing), but those all ended up being fairly underwhelming. TotK was the first blockbuster switch title since the console was new
