120gb games on 2 dual-layered Blu-rays is now. Blu-ray-XL can go to 100gb per disc but they'll factor that shit in and we'll be paying for game storage space like its N64 carts or SNES carts with SuperFX
In the old days multiple console discs games would stop the game and tell you to swap discs. Usually at a poignant moment so it isn't intrusive. In FF7 PS1 the swap took place about 10 minutes after Aerith died. In the modern era multiple disc console games are just an INSTALL and PLAY disc, that's how you get a 150GB game to play without downloading all that.
But digital cucks know all about owning nothing and downloading 200GB multiplayer slop.
what the frick is that moronic image trying to say? it specifically says you can still play your games in single player, having a disc or not doesn't change that. are you that stupid that you can't even read what you're trying to use as an argument?
NTA but I didn't see that it says you can still play your games in singleplayer. I fully expect that to be the case however so he's probably still a moron, but still.
I miss multi disk games like FF7-9, there was such a feeling of achievement and wonder when you got to a new disk. Not really sure why it feels different than chapters or missions, but it does.
im just mad because as a 360gay back in the day everyone made fun of FFXIII and other games coming on multiple discs on 360 vs PS3 and yet here we are.
if you felt like you were being bullied over the amount of disks a game has then you deserved to bullied you autistic kid. lol

dude dont ruin this for me. currently searching for the bullies on social media so i can gloat to them. they dont even know whats coming fricking nerds lol
>Not sure why this is surprising
because it was part of the marketing so they made it seem like it was some HUGE game needing like 2 install discs and then 1 play disc.
It was like one regions disk being printed at another region or something along those lines. So the Philippines version was actually the Australian. In other words a bunch of people got copies they couldn't read or understand
>yfw the complete FF7R saga will be in a case with more than three discs
finalbros, we won. The remake is much bigger and grander than the original that everyone heralded as a revolutionary masterpiece.
>release date trailer >everyone got hyped when the end of the trailer revealed the game was going to be on 2 discs >game comes out >one disc is the install disc, the other is the play disc
talk about disappointment. some games have done this shit already.
>Both discs are data discs
they arent though.
when you have the installation disk in, it installs up to 99%. then you switch over to the play disk and it finishes the last percent and its ready to go.
if both are data disks, it would probably have you switch disks like 50% of the way and then finish off with the other.
you only have to put the install disc the first time. every time after that you just use the play disc. unless you delete the game/content from your ps5. to play the game again you would need to again install shit from the install disc then play.
those are seemingly bans, which you get for breaking whatever rule the game told you not to break. different than a company just removing your games from you without warning or notice
You cannot access the Playstation Store, Epic Games Store, EA Games Origin, Nintendo EShop, Xbox store to redownload anything you purchased after a ban.
Your digital games are nothing but a rent like GamePass.
>You cannot access the Playstation Store, Epic Games Store, EA Games Origin, Nintendo EShop, Xbox store to redownload anything you purchased after a ban.
factually incorrect.
Anybody knows if it's worth it/safe to download the day 1 patch??
i know it fixes some very rare gamebreaking progression bug and performance graphics upgrade... but what if it adds some stupid censorship again?
Right now im staying on ver 1.0
FF7 Remake Part 2 is another super majority game that works out of the gate off the disc without the internet. Digital and gameshitpass rent cucks....you lost another battlefield.
if people actually read what the op post says, like 90% of posts wouldnt be made. not saying it wouldnt be better, just saying thats how this place works
i'm a PCtard who was too busy admiring the disc artwork to notice the labels. haven't touched console since PS1 so i was curious how this would work for an open world game if there was some smart content delivery system in place where you play the introductory levels while it background installs data then shift to disc2 afterwards
if you cannot >view the source code >modify the source code >share the source code >distribute modified copies of the source code
you do not own the game
It's two discs?
big gaames being 2 discs since ps4
I was so thankful for that. it beats having to download the other 40 gb in a "patch"

The cost of a second disc and a case to hold is nowhere close to N64 ROM or a graphics chip.
It was weirdly part of the marketing.
Well, yeah. The people who played the original FF7 are gonna be excited at the prospect of a game being too big for one disc again.

rdr2 came with 2 discs, although that did have a massive world area. Not sure why this is surprising
im just mad because as a 360gay back in the day everyone made fun of FFXIII and other games coming on multiple discs on 360 vs PS3 and yet here we are.
Because blu ray(PS3) was better.
There is nothing better than blu ray.
anon i finally feel vindicated after begin bullied for it when i was young. let me have this
if you felt like you were being bullied over the amount of disks a game has then you deserved to bullied you autistic kid. lol
dude dont ruin this for me. currently searching for the bullies on social media so i can gloat to them. they dont even know whats coming fricking nerds lol
i dont speak spanish whats it say ?
basically
>Xbox 360 rules PS3 Sucks
>Not sure why this is surprising
because it was part of the marketing so they made it seem like it was some HUGE game needing like 2 install discs and then 1 play disc.
Didn't they mess up the labelling for those? Or was that only for Japan.
It was like one regions disk being printed at another region or something along those lines. So the Philippines version was actually the Australian. In other words a bunch of people got copies they couldn't read or understand
what is this game and why people are talking about it?
its some boomer game from the 90s and Sony is milking the boomers hard with nostalgia.
>games are so bloated now that we’re going back to multi-discs
>holy shit 1/3 of a 25 year old game goes so fricking hard
Too bad the ending is shit
>goes hard
Total zoomer death
>1997: OMG 3 discs 🙂
>2024: OMG 2 discs 🙁
>OMG 3 discs that you can just pop-in and play 🙂
>OMG 2 disc that you need to install + patch and censorship download 🙁
The discs have nothing to do with the patches
>one disc installs
>the other plays the game
>homosexual moron can't read
Keep "pretending" to be moronic, though.
even bluray is getting outdated, soon there will be 4 disc boxset games
who will stop these moronic pajeet devs bloating the fricking games?
>goes hard
>half of it is just random rating labels, warnings and other legal crap
I assume we can expect these two discs to be remade into separate games in 20 years.
>yfw the complete FF7R saga will be in a case with more than three discs
finalbros, we won. The remake is much bigger and grander than the original that everyone heralded as a revolutionary masterpiece.
those discs are empty. enjoy your 200GB patch to download
Wrong, digital cuck. Don't swear at me or you'll lose everything btw.
the problem IS NOT digital. It's DRM. BluRay also has DRM.
the FSF's definition of "ownership" is much more accurate
if you CANNOT crack it and extract a disc's contents, it's not yours. EXTRACTING BLURAY IS ILLEGAL UNDER THE DMCA
no, that's for xbox
great I gues noe we need to buy like a hundred 2TB SSDs to play video games
Fricking kino
Pc people will never know the kino of game discs
>release date trailer
>everyone got hyped when the end of the trailer revealed the game was going to be on 2 discs
>game comes out
>one disc is the install disc, the other is the play disc
talk about disappointment. some games have done this shit already.
Games do not run off the disc anymore. Both discs are data discs and one serves as a verification key to ensure you didn't sell the game.
>Both discs are data discs
they arent though.

you fricking mongoloid, it can read data off of the play disc when it's in the console
>we
go back to wherever you came from
>go back to wherever you came from
im already here. literally been here since 2010
>it can read data off of the play disc when it's in the console
>Games do not run off the disc anymore. Both discs are data discs and one serves as a verification key to ensure you didn't sell the game.
so what is it then? getting mixed messages here.
you only have to put the install disc the first time. every time after that you just use the play disc. unless you delete the game/content from your ps5. to play the game again you would need to again install shit from the install disc then play.
that second post you quoted is a fricking moron saying an incorrect statement. think for yourself for a second, frickwad.
how do i know that youre the one in the wrong? youre getting pretty mad right now trying to convince me that youre right.
Digital console cucks by choice sisters....
>install disc
360 bros are FINALLY vindicated after FFXIII 3 discs
not a single one of those four screenshots has anything to do with digital or physical games, anon. you're actually just an idiot.
those are seemingly bans, which you get for breaking whatever rule the game told you not to break. different than a company just removing your games from you without warning or notice

you chose this future
what is this image trying to say? xbox sex has a disc drive and ps plus exists.
>he fell for it
>i was only pretending to be moronic!
>i was only pretending to be moronic!
yes. are you new here? we do this sometimes
You could have been banned from the very beginning of the PS Store. These images are moronic.
Your digital library is inaccessible after an account ban, you cannot access the stores on any console. Good day to you digital renting warrior.
If that's true then why didn't you post any images of that information? Could it be because you made it the frick up?
>multi discs before
"OMG SO FREAKING SOULFUL"
>multidisk games now
>"WHAT THE FRICK IS THIS SOULLESS SHIT"
Anybody knows if it's worth it/safe to download the day 1 patch??

do you still have to install data or can you pop it in and play right away?
how do you manage to reply to a thread without even looking at the OP
if people actually read what the op post says, like 90% of posts wouldnt be made. not saying it wouldnt be better, just saying thats how this place works

not count in the broken on launch games than NEED a patch to even be playable
>not even Amano art
ngmi
IX had better disc art
You own nothing digital cucks.
>PS1
>Full game on 3 discs
>Remake
>$140 for 35% of the game on 4 discs
How many space is this?
140GB. The physical and digital version are exactly the same size, physical has no need to download that and has ownership and resell value.
Thanks I guess Ill delete something
if you cannot
>view the source code
>modify the source code
>share the source code
>distribute modified copies of the source code
you do not own the game
