This was about 3 years back. Our group had beaten the BBEG, the DM described how each of our character's story ended, people were smiling, being happy, but the DM was quiet.
When we asked him, he said he just needed a moment, so we let him be for a bit, then started asking him when the next campaign was.
He brushed us off, went home. A few days later, we got a call from his uncle, who he lived with.
He had torn all his gamebooks to shreds, smashed his minis, and had drawn on the wall "I'm tired of being a monster to kill" on the wall, and hung himself.
Our group fell apart after that, I didn't go to his funeral, but one of the group members that did said he had an open mic, and when he mentioned about how great a DM was his uncle started yelling and screaming about how we took his nephew away from him.
So yeah. Anyone else got stories about a group member dying on you?
Nice blog post
I don't believe this happened. It's overdramatic and feels implausible. If it did happen, it's in part the players to blame as they never DM'd.
He's fishing for kahntent for some homosexual TTS youtube channel in all likelihood
fake and gay
>"I'm tired of being a monster to kill"
Kek'd heartily at your fake Black person story
fake and gay, but also mildly amusing
>"I'm tired of being a monster to kill"
lmao a good effort overall but this line was a bit too much m8
I actually have, but I wont tell the story because you, like many OPs before you, are a homosexual
Same, fake thread doesn't deserve real serious happenings.
I'm not going to post my actual story here because you are a homosexual. Your story is offensive to the many people who have ended their lives. As someone who works in suicide prevention I strongly encourage you to go rethink your life decisions and what lead to posting this garbage post.
NO! NOT BLACK LEAF!
>Your story is offensive to the many people who have ended their lives
You know, somehow I doubt that.
>tfw whole group is vampires
>tfw archeologists found our old homebrew notes and dice in England, called them druidic artifacts
Yeah, lost our last GM to the coof, it was super awkward because there was real possibility one of us infected him unknowingly.
Lost a group member to alcoholism. He was a fairly quiet, friendly drunk, but mildly drunk he was at almost every session. I left the group after our main campaign finished and found out a year later that he had died "from complications", I assume those being his liver going kaput. Shame really, he was a nice guy.
Had a group member get sober.
He instantly became super boring to hang out with, he'd just sit quietly, and only speak if asked direct questions.
I mean what's the point of living like that, might as well have fun and die early than add 20 years of being miserable to your lifespan.
You killed it by being so overly dramatic with the monster bit. Saged this shit content scraping thread, you nogames homosexual.
sounds fake and Satanic Panic-y.
>DMs are constantly creating npcs that the PCs recruit, seduce, or adopt
>even the BBEG is always more than just "some monster"
>these NPCs are more memorable than all the monstercombats in the game, with massive regularity
>and yet somehow this DM is driven to suicide by "being a monster to kill"
don't buy it.
The wall writing is what gave it away that the story was fake. lmao how corny, blackleaf tier.
You literally posted this last month. It wasn’t any more believable back then.
