I have eczema/dermatitis, it affects my entire body. At best my skin looks "normal" in most areas but at worst I've legitimately clawed through my skin from irritation while sleeping before in the summer. I've had kids in my classes while growing up say my hands look "old" because my skin physically can't stay hydrated.
Also for me dandruff is always present no matter what. I've been able to lessen it over the years but it will always still be visible to a noticeable degree if you get close, it's not flattering.

The fun I had was watching other characters act without my input, mean sims were dicks and it wasn't uncommon to see fights happen. Now in 3 and 4 it just isn't the same, it's all doll house but no simulator, everything is so "happy" and "safe" that it feels more and more like a left wing white womans dream game as time goes on rather than a LIFE simulator. What's changed? As far as I recall Sims 1, 2 and 3 weren't incredibly interactive games beyond what you find in 4 and 5. You could be creative and build cool houses and make unique characters but none of that is really gone in the latter entries. Sims has always been a virtual dollhouse with some self-imposed sense of progression.
The only thing that's gotten worse over time is the way its monetized.

In 2-3 (for me) it felt like the things you did had a purpose. As open-ended as the game was, you still wanted to see your sim marry, have children and generally succeed at life within the time allotment they had (nevermind the de-aging potion fricked this up). You were very focused on your sim and came to feel a bit of attachment to your creation.
In 4 your sim feels like it was AI generated and never feels like yours, the absolutely abominable dogshit "mood" system was the deathknell in particular because it makes the actions of the sim completely absurd and nonsensical. You have very little control and it feels like you're working against the game the entire time in order to try to have fun. The end result is that it's never fun, and that's just one of a million other issues like the ugly flat 2D neighbourhoods you can't explore and 99% of everything around your sims house being non-interactable set dressing. Sims 4 is sterile, poorly made and not entertaining. Not even mods save it, it just makes it a middling porn game with rock bottom game AI.
nothing works in 4. packs like dining out are still broken. one of the default gyms still has missing walls to the bathrooms. and now everything is a checklist and loading screens. in sims 3 i can send sims on a date all around town to see a movie, have dinner, play at the beach and if they had a good time thats cool. in 4 you're given a checklist of hug sim 5 times. be flirty at the same time. but of course it doesn't work anyways because the ai is so dumb sims walk over to your two and then everyone is uncomfortable.

For example Sims 3 had skill challenges. It wasn't just 1-10, your actions would influence details about the skill. Like for Logic if you looked at the stars a lot you'd be able to talk about them. Sims 4 moves this entirely into aspirations, that earn you points that go into a global pool that can buy anything you like with. So meeting fitness goals lets you buy a gardening skill, it's nonsense.
