I'm PC gay and I can't comprehend how anyone would like spiderman. Couldn't play it for more than 2 hours before uninstalling
Uncharted 4 looks good but that's it
GoW is okay
Console exclusives exist to compliment 3rd party games, not compete with them.
These games are popular as high budget, high production value extras, something you buy because they’re in addition to what you already want, but can’t get anywhere else, increasing their desirability.
Take away exclusivity, and suddenly they’re just an average AAA game in less popular genres fighting for your dollar against other AAA games, that have to be profitable rather than sell hardware, so aim to appeal to a far wider audience.
You might choose to buy a playstation because you want to play COD, and there’s also Uncharted, which you kind of like the look of and can’t get anywhere else. Once you’ve invested in the console, well you have to buy Uncharted now, or what’s point of having bought that playstation?
But if both games are on PC, well what’s the draw to buy Uncharted now over every other game available? It’s not special, it’s not even the best 3rd person action adventure available, so why bother?
You could make the argument PC lacks such high production games, but by all accounts it doesn't really matter beyond certain people obsessing about their GPUs and framerates.
I do indeed make that argument, and it lacks them precisely because they don’t sell well. That’s why they make good console exclusives, because the goal is to sell consoles, not make a profit like a third party game, and they then intrinsically have more value because of the fact you can’t get them on PC or other consoles, making them more likely to be purchased in addition to those other multiplatform titles.
It’s why I think the Switch sells so well despite emulation for it’s games being so easy. Barely anyone cares enough to put that little bit of effort in that’s required to pirate the games, because when you take away the exclusivity, they loose what made them ‘special’.
I guess thats the problem with current Playstation and Xbox lacking flagship games that are funded and tailor-made to utilize and showcase their specific consoles. Was Ratchet&Clank the only one with their SSD sale? I can't honestly remember any other games. Maybe DSremake with haptics.
>still refuses to release BloodBorne
Please Sony this is the ONLY game I actually care about frick GoW frick the last of us remake demastered part 1 frick spider man GIVE ME BLOODBORNE
>The real answer is that no one gives a frick about late ports
This.
The universal convention of perceived game value is that a game is $60/$70 at launch, then within 6 months or so (much less for flops, occasionally longer) you start getting substantial sales, and within a couple years it starts showing up in the bargain bin.
Remakes etc can sometimes reset this timer, but simple ports DO NOT.
Uncharted 4 is a 2016 game and I /will not/ pay $50 for a digital copy of a 2016 game.
If they release PC versions day and date with the PS version, they'll sell much better. If they're more realistic about the prices of ports of old games, they'll shift more units.
They're dogshit low effort ports of old games they sold for full price. It doesn't matter if they didn't sell 10 gorrilion steam copies. Sony doesn't care about PC and just wanted free money for no effort.
The keep porting their shitty ones. >nuGoW is a total bastardization of the franchise it came from >Horizon was never good >Ratchet & Clank hasn't been good since the PS2 >Uncharted was mediocre slop at its peak, let alone the PS4 releases which were dogshit
So yeah no wonder that shit's not selling.
Spider-Man sold exceptionally well and is the only one that did.
>PC gamers actually have taste
Shocking
Have they sold bad or do pc onlys just not buy games
Considering other big releases manage to sell just fine on PC the answer to this is obvious, but I'm sure you knew that already
Those probably sold million or so on average. It's pretty good for 3-5 year old ports
Sony can only trick console kids because they still listen to IGN . Sony just has to bribe them and a few YouTubers and they're good.
PC gamers only use Ganker and hate IGN so they are immune
shut up, as a PCgay I really like that they are bringing exclusives without denuvo
keep going Sony, you're doing good babe don't mind the haters
>Don't listen to the haters my sweet multi-billion corporation
Jesus frick anon Sony isn't gonna shag you
>shut up, as a PCgay I really like that they are bringing exclusives without denuvo
>keep going Sony, you're doing good babe don't mind the haters
Transfield and Cuckza flopping got the ESL Xbox troons seething.
The hell do you mean. They're major successes compared to Sony
>They're major successes
Hahahahahahah
Yeah, starfield alone sold more than all Sony games combined lmaooooo.
>Sold
The Xbox troony lacks critical information
They sold better than all Sony games combined.
Sony games on PC sold less than 1k copies ahagahahhahagahahaggahagahahahahahahahhahahahahahahha
>someone talks about sony
>BUT WHAT ABOUT XBOX
Every time
Because they did ZERO advertising for all of them. Sony just plopped them on Steam and expected bangbuster sales.
I don't think PC gamers are dumb enough to fall for marketing. Lies and brand loyalties only exist for dumb people.
that's not sales numbers, or am I supposed to understand that those player counts are from week 1 after PC release?
They are. No one wants LGBT movie trash
damn, that's grim
Those game sold well except maybe ratchet and the port cost nothing
I'm PC gay and I can't comprehend how anyone would like spiderman. Couldn't play it for more than 2 hours before uninstalling
Uncharted 4 looks good but that's it
GoW is okay
Moving around is nice, but the combat get stale pretty fast.
Boss fights were boring QTE fests, story was mediocre and the forced stealth sections with MJ and the Black person were terrible
7/10
But Geoff said it's game of the year once sonys check cleared !
Besides Ratchet for B-Team significantly delayed ports they didn't do too bad.
i imagine even ratchet was profitable.
the other certainly were
i already played those on playstation. well ratchet and clank i had to play on pc because don't have PS5 yet
Why do you think they bundle all of these games with their consoles?
Gotta pad those numbers.
Just port ghost of sushi already holy shit. The weebs will do the marketing for you (FOR FREE)

The cuck strategy.

shocking
Turns out R&C and Horizon aren't interesting franchises
They're dogshit low effort ports of old games they sold for full price. It doesn't matter if they didn't sell 10 gorrilion steam copies. Sony doesn't care about PC and just wanted free money for no effort.
Didn't Horizon sell 1 million on PC? That's not bad for years old scraps.
I sure hope so
Sonyvmakes bad games. News at 11
Nice job fricking up, phonegay
