Everybody losing their shit over BG3 but how is this not causing any controversy?
Alan Wake 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played. Ignoring the technical issues and the incredibly boring third person shooter "survival" gameplay as it's clear this was just gunning for all the 'art' awards since it's just an Oscar-bait equivalence, the story is just terrible.
It's word vomit that has its head up its own ass. Saga goes into her 'mind place' just to sit down at a desk and have shadows of whatever it is she's trying to 'profile' tell her the answer. There's no deduction. The gigantic wall you put post-it notes on has no fail state, you can just click around until it lines up.
And of course lets not ignore that it heavily """""borrows from""""" (plagiarizes) Twin Peaks.
How did the industry get so fricking swindled by Sam Lake and this garbage?

this game has the same metascore as ff16 but was placed as like the third most important game after zelda and bg3 to the point where it got a musical performance. let that sink in. ff16 got cucked out of a music performance when it was the only game with music this year

Alan Wake 2 got a lot of awards because theyre the closest thing to a moviegame the Hollywood-obsessed Dewrito Pope loves AND they got fatstacks of money from Epic their publisher so the rigging was locked
