Everyone acts like such a fricking moron over Zelda games. This one especially. It was alright. It wasn't amazing and it wasn't terrible either, I don't know why it got so many glowing reviews but it's better than most shit that has come this year. I think this series is vastly overrated.
I find all Nintendo games to be really dull and unfun. I really have no idea how anyone can play them except extremely small children.
i bet you play troony Gate 3 and other magic fantasy games.
Case in point, these are extremely underage posters.
>can't name ONE good game
lol I bet Ganker is all you do
>can't name a good game
Case in point
You do not play videoames.
Nintendo games aren't "videogames" they're baby toys.
Bot replies, get lost clankers.
It‘s not possible to play videogames unless you have a certified bingtendo drm tablet after all, right?
unfortunately for him, I do.
Switch has no games.
Snoys are so assblasted by the fact that they actually have no games to play. It's hilarious.
name a good game
The issue with especially modern nintendo games is that they have to be so easy that interesting mechanics never even get properly explored. All of them have no depth. Metroid dread is probably the last nintendo game since donkey kong country tropical freeze that‘s actually engaging and neither are made by nintendo themselves
donkey kong country tropical freeze is still guilty of it too. It's a very safe platformer that spends literally half the game delivering tutorial like design. Holy shit that game was a drag to pick up and play. Takes so fricking long to get going.
Compared to switch era nintendo games it‘s the hardest game ever made
Nintendo game design really hasn't changed much since the gamecube days. The edges got a bit softer but the experience is basically the same over-tutorialized, obnoxiously over explained, awkwardly translated with tongue-in-cheek humor from start to finish.
Spoken like someone who hasn't actually played a single Nintendo game since the Cubie days.
I already played all the switch games, I have a wii u after all. They're so god damn bad. Couple of days ago I modded a switch, the situation isn't any better.
You should try out paper mario origami king if you think that‘s true. The game is genuinely unplayable with the amount of handholding and explanations for the most basic shit it gives
>over-tutorialized, obnoxiously over explained
I don't get this from BotW or TotK.
>awkwardly translated with tongue-in-cheek humor from start to finish.
I can agree with this but this is a NoA problem
>I don't get this from BotW or TotK.
I did.
>I can agree with this but this is a NoA problem
Too bad, that's what I'm getting to play.
>I did
Where? At worse you get the first four shrines as a tutorial level. Then after that it's just a quick screen prompt telling you what buttons to use.
it's pretty easy. zelda is way more hard somehow
you have to grow up with them, otherwise they're boring
I did, but I also had other options. Were Nintendo kids the poor ones with divorced parents who could only afford one console?
yes, unironically. often with nintendo gays, I find that they lack knowledge of video games outside nintendo systems, embarrassingly so, but they just take that fault into a virtue by convincing themselves that nothing worth playing is outside of a nintendo system. this leads to bubble thinking and contracted viewpoints.
>unfun
You speak like a child.
No one cares about your opinion.
people are hankering for good games because since the video game medium became mainstream most shit that comes out is out of touch
>but it's better than most shit that has come this year.
Usually you'd be right but 2023 has been an exceptionally good year.
Name some worthwhile games that happened this year that predate the new Zelda.
Hi-Fi Rush and Pizza Tower came out one day apart.
Hi-Fi Rush was good, I think Pizza Tower isn't as amazing as people say it is. I can't stand the controls.
Can we at least wait until it wins GotY until we make seething threads?
It's GOTY
>game constantly reminds you to get the master sword
>even if you dont it just gives it to you for this victory lap shit
The durability system was the worst thing that ever happened to Zelda and Fujibiyashi is a bigger hack than Aonuma.
>>even if you dont it just gives it to you for this victory lap shit
kino
The entire narrative of totk is dogshit
moron
sneed
>introduces new mechanic to try and balance out durability
>shit still breaks just as fast as it did in botw the stronger weapons you get
>master sword still has cool down
>any cool weapons you find just break, the fierce deity sword quest is a waste of time especially because it's just as much fodder as a normal stick even with a fused item
>all of the weapons still have the same three recycled movements from BotW
Seriously, why do they keep pushing this shit? Get this moronic mechanic out of Zelda already.
Just use the Rock Octoroks
They have to keep durability because it's the only way to fill their vapid open worlds with anything worthwhile or give reason for exploration and fighting. Old Zelda is dead.
I don't care what anyone says, being able to bypass puzzles isn't the game rewarding you for creative thinking, it's just broken.
Like, the shrines where you have to do a thing, to do a thing and then do a thing to launch a thing at a target.
Or you can just attach something to an arrow and shoot the target.
That's broken.
yeah it's fricking great
Most puzzles are fricking terrible so being able bypass most of them is fine. They don't know how to make anything worthwhile anymore anyway.
We're living in an era of unprecedented nintendo fanboyism. Its like big N is God reincarnated and every mainline big IP game that gets released is an iteration of the Holy Gospel & completely untouchable.
seeing TotK getting more hype and praise than BotW at release felt so fricking unreal and unorganic. Its quite literally the SAME game with gadgety little additions here and there, its like what pokémon emerald is to ruby/sapphire. Biggest disappointment in a long time for me
What's funny is the historical precedent for this. They've been doing this since the snes days lol.
>Nintendo makes a unique console with great games
>"How can anyone even like this??? They have to be cultists!!!"
>Sony makes an overpowered version of their last 4 consoles. It has no games.
>"Now this is gaming!!!"
Snoys are the most delusional morons to ever exist.
you know, I think the switch actually started fairly strong. 2017 and 2018 had BotW, Odyssey, SSBU among others and they were all good, fun games and promised a good future for the console. But by 2019 nintendo got fricking lazy and they haven't pulled out a single memorable game since. Now its all remakes, ports and half-assed releases like TotK. Just stating what is.
also thanks for proving my point that nintentoddlers are mentally unstable cultists.
