The worst part about all this is how many of these games have this as their last hurrah before the new shit really takes over. T7 and MK11 are definitely gone for good, whereas Melty, Marvel, and DB are all on the chopping block depending on how their development goes from here on, it's tragic really.
At least on MK's side they have a new game coming out and Melty has UNI as a spiritual successor, whereas Marvel has nothing else in the pipeline. Hopefully the side tourneys get more love in future years because IMO they're way more entertaining than the mainstage games most of the time.
