Moves that change throughout the games. Teleport was my go to for fast traveling in most gens until I get a mon with FLY. It was kind of useless in battle for the longest until it got a secondary affect that made it useful in double battles. What other moves have changed throughout time for better or worse?
Rapid Spin giving the Speed boost is so minor but it can make a difference in niche situations. I also just plain like the idea of that change

Leech Life went from a weaker early game Absorb to a legitimate competitive move

String Shot became an interesting option for doubles speed control since it targets both enemies and lowers speed by 2

another anon mentioned leech life and i agree, that move is bananas now. went from 20 bp to 80.

Hyper Beam after gen 1

Sucks because hyper beam is the original ultra finisher move
It has to be noted that Knock Off was good even with 20 of power. Eliminating the opponent's item was always useful in gens where everything needs leftovers in order to not be defeated by the sand.
Funny how Gigaton Hammer and Blood Moon are obvious Hyper Beam clones but are given a much better drawback.
Dragon Pulse was unfairly nerfed to 85 power when it should have been increased to 95
