>excited to play new DLC
>need to go grind an extra 40 levels just to play Bahamut difficulty
>DLC forces you to do even more grinding in the same missions
Can we admit it’s shit yet?

its literally a lost ark patch
>extra mode enable
>runic guard
>cyclic warrior spam
>level 400 mission
Yep, it's exploit time
Knight's 400% affinity makes it even easier. No need to spam runic protection or use mighty guard and worry about dispels. I've been running through the stages with that setup on Sage dropping meteors on everything to get all the level limit unlocks. You get awful get drops when you use Extra mode on Bahamut difficulty, but it's enough to get you up to the point where you can do the previous gear grind missions.
jesus
poor wol , square doesnt get enough of torturing him as kink
I'll be the true judge of its quality when it comes to steam and I finally play it.
Someone extract the Bahamut fight OST please.
also using the "breaking the crystal" theme for the wol is pretty cool considering you can only hear the music for 20 seconds in the base game
Reminder that the Lufenian collaborator is Jack, or more precisely, an alternate Jack
Since Jack fricked up the OG lufenians, they never got the tech to change dimension, meaning an alternate version of Jack will be born in Cornelia's Lufenia. I suspect different future to play on that with both Jack fighting, the alternative Jack is the honorable Garland from the OG FF1, I suspect he will either be teleported in the future or dies, explaining why Garland changed so much : chaos garland and OG Garland are not the same. and at the end, when chaos Garland says he will "meet the FF1 party again in the past", he is speaking of original Garland being alive again.
i prefer shinryu but knowing nomura.....
but this create an ironic twist too
Good Garland will give power to Lufenia, allowing them to go to an alternative dimension. With that they will change the past, starting the events of SOP all over again with SOP Garland being born. this is the ultimate timeloop : where Garland is both a savior and a monster. Doing so would keep the bittersweet taste of the ending. now there's just the issue of the Bahamut girl and who the frick she is but this could be resolved in the Gilgamesh DLC.
Shinryu is boring. I want surprise stuff, not things people are expecting.
The Bahamut girl is voiced by Cherami Leigh who also voiced Princess Sarah so maybe there's some soul shenanigans going on because of the crystals
Maybe due to having a dark crystal she got reborn too after dying...
tfw the final boss is Sarah, killing her enable Jack to leave the chaos loop and finally be at peace, but he'll never live with his love...
Going by FF1, once the warriors of light kill Chaos!Jack, Jack Garland (Forma de no Caos) is restored since the self-fulfilling time loop is stopped. So Jack and Sarah might just get to be happy
Honestly I expect one last frickery. I can't see the game ending in a full positive note.
The Fiends aren't mentioned in FF1's epilogue so Jack's friends might end up wiped from the timeline but then again, if they get deleted, why wouldn't Jack?
maybe the Garland at the end will be a different Garland, like the Jack we know don't return to the past/dies, so that another version of him lives in peace, the fiends also dying for this cause too as they love Jack.
Maybe it'll be Neon since she's native to Cornelia? Due to Chaos shenanigans and her LARPing as Jack once, she just straight up becomes Jack
I think it's Matoya. The music for the area Bahamut is in is the music from her cave and she was notably absent from the base game. She was also the one who guided the WoLs in the early part of the original game and that lines up with Jack and the gang's desire to strengthen them by putting them against stronger and stronger foes.
I wouldn't be too surprised if there's an npc named Lukhan in the next DLC since that's another person who assisted and pointed the WoLs to their next challenges.
I have a feeling the 2nd and 3rd DLCs aren't going to have any more weapon types and will instead focus on adding in more jobs
I suspect later DLCs to focus more on new missions than new gameplay elements like the current DLC we got.
