Rockstar has an excellent reputation for their big games. Red Dead Redemption 2 was amazing. Nothing wrong with looking forward to the game.

I don't know why people are excited after the leaks. The graphics look fricking garbage and the map isn't even double the size of GTA V's. We will only have three side activities (golf, tennis and fishing) and we will have only railroaded heists (the leaker kid confirmed the dinner robbery was one of the first missions and didn't mention anything about free roam robberies).
They didn't learn anything from GTA V, it seems. It will have a boring map with 60% wilderness where nothing happens and 40% towns where you can't do almost anything outside missions except killing civilians

Of course I'm excited to see GTA6. Whether it's good or bad, it's the biggest announcement in years and it's gonna be interesting to see what they've been working on all this time. Pretty much anyone who has ever played a video game is going to check this one out.

At the end of the day, of course a new gta game being shown is HUGE. Even for people who decide they hate something because a character is female or w e stupid shit, the technological prowess and advances that something with hundreds of millions and ten years spent in it will be a sight to behold. Rdr2 ,5 years later, still impresses and blows pretty much anything else away. The sheer detail, and that fidelity and all the way down into the animations and systems underneath it all. still MINDBLOWING. You'd be absolute fool to not be interested in jumping balls deep into the next gta game. Even if politically or aethestically it upsets you.
This trailer and game is a big deal whether you like the writing or gameplay loop or not. We are about to see what is possible when infinite money and more time than usual is put together by people who HAVE to one up themselves. I'm not an easily hyped person but goddamn right I'm watching this trailer at 8 am in the morning on a Tuesday. All I hope is that they show enough to excited for and not overly mysterious.

Even people who haven't touched a videogame on their lives know what it is, so of course I'm interested in seeing what this is going to be about.
GTA V was forgettable but nowhere near a terrible game, so at least Rockstar can deliver something. After this game though, yeah, they're basically dead since not a single soul of the old team will be there, while in 6 there's probably remnants of a basic plot written by Dan Houser.
There's no comparison, Rockstar game releases are the biggest events in entertainment only rivaled by Infinity War Marvel at its peak. This is the most anticipated thing on the planet.
I am excited to see what it is and what it does different from their previous games, but they haven't shown anything yet and even the leaks didn't reveal much other than the setting and the broadest of plot spoilers. GTA V was the highest selling media product ever and their follow up, after 10 years of GTA Online success, will determine the gaming landscape for another decade.
Like Starfield it’s one of those games that has a 0% chance of being good. I don’t know where these people come from that are actually excited for modern AAA games. They’re literally npcs with no internal monologue.
It has a 99% chance of being at least worth playing, and a pretty decent chance of being great. Your scepticism isn't warranted.
Remember GTAV was absolutely a great game to just play, once, like a regular game.
People are only soured on it now because it's stuck around as a zombie for 10 years with endless re-releases and a torturously extended online mode that gets shoved in the corner of zoomer's tiktoks as an attention grabber.
6 will suffer the same fate but that's unrelated to the quality of your initial singleplayer run.

I'm not expecting the second coming of christ, I'm just expecting a good game that I'll likely enjoy playing for a while. It's a pretty safe bet. The chances of it being worse than ~8/10 are very low.
