where's the 10 player co-op? I've played two matches, both were move to area to kill waves of dinos then final round is just bomb cart. it's like if at the end of every minor warframe mission I had to play a round of tf2.
I just did a mission as samurai man with a personal healer, it was great. Also heard the lowered the counter’s time but I feel like it should be on the same cooldown time as the aoe taunt slash

I really wanted to like the idea of Exoprimal. I'm not a huge Dino Crisis gay, but I do feel for them because of the fake out. Still, Lost Planet: Extreme Dinosaurs sounded rad as frick. We don't get enough dinosaur games these days, so it seemed like a promising prospect. Even having to making a shitty capcom ID thing seemed reasonable.

all capcom games going forward is going to use the capcom id in some way. resident evil games use it for stat tracking, dragons dogma 2 will use it to share pawn data cross platform, some future megaman game will probably have crossplay, and so on.

did they improve the performance from the last beta? for whatever reason it ran like crap compared to other RE Engine games. for example I would get nearly 200 fps in RE4R but in Exoprimal I could barely get 100.

Nah only in the full version the beta does have a very coll 10 player coop but you have to get lucky to get it I got it 3 matches in but it's truly worth it only for that

I like sci-fi and I like co-op games and I like PvP, but that's an extremely small niche.
Warframe has done well for itself because it's free, turd worlders can make money playing it via real money trading, and it has big robot butts.
That said, I haven't played Warframe in years, and it sounds like everything is content islands and no challenge; so someone COULD absolutely dethrone Warframe. But not as a new IP from a new studio (or not a well known one) with a full price AAA tag and a day one battle pass and almost certainly cosmetic cash shop shit and so on.

Enjoying the story bits. Not expecting too much from story mode since it seems like just a bunch of smaller missions put together, but it could be cool. 10 player dino mission is fricking great.
The issue is this $60 price tag. It costing money I'm not too worried about, but it's fricking $60 for what accounts towards needing 10 people to play anything at all with almost zero single player content to be seen. This legit needed to be at least $40, if not $30 outright as entryfee, but no, they charge it as full price and it'll be near impossible to play a month down the line.

everytime I get to the pvp portion, it feels like the game is rushing you to finish and it becomes a meta swap fest. its okay/funish up until that point.
What I mean is that the game pressures you to swap to keep up because the game is clearly unbalanced when it comes to suit matchups like Overwatch/Shadowrun2007. It's not hard to see how meta sweaty this is only going to get if they add ranked or battle pass incentives.

For me it's a mixed bag, and really depends on what you want out of the game.
If you're like me and expected EDF but with Dinos based on the first things shown, you probably won't be happy.
If you're only wanting PvP stuff where it's teams of mech suited soldiers of different classes squaring off, you probably also won't be happy.
Because the game is trying to do some mis-mash of the two which personally I feel just leaves the game in a position where it doesn't know what it wants to be.
And admittedly just based on the beta, it's a pretty bad snapshot of the game. Since (supposedly) there will be the ability to do specifically PvP, PvE, or the mashed together system. And some solo stuff as well.
Gunplay I found fine, nothing fantastic but shooting felt nice and the suits all operated differently in nice ways.
In short, I feel like they had a really cool idea going and then shot themselves in the foot by not picking a specific type of gameplay to focus on.
There's a problem with having a ton of different game modes that require 10 players each. The game is $60. Doesn't matter if its on gamepass, didn't stop Bleeding Edge from dying. Put in all the game modes you want so everyone is happy but you are going to actually need people to play with first. Even multiplayer games with tons of players know not to split your playerbase. At best your queue times will be awful, at worst your game will just be completely dead.
Having hordes of dinos feels weird to me. In popular culture predatory dinosaurs are usually in packs or isolated. It's like they didn't want to just copy Left4Dead's zombie hordes so they came up with the next most popular thing.
It really is weird, especially when you look at something like Monster Hunter. Hunting brute wyverns more or less feels like what fighting an actual dinosaur might be like.
the pve part is less boring this test but I think they should make it harder. it's a shame that this game isn't going to have a long life because of babymen getting filtered by the pvp, really makes me wonder what they would think about gambit

I really don't understand people only wanting to play PvE modes in this game. Don't get me wrong, I know not everybody enjoys competitive games and that's fine, but fighting the dinos in this game is so mind-numbingly simple the only time I felt engaged in the last beta was fighting and killing other players
I feel like if you just want some horde fighting/survival game you have way better options than this
I wanted edf with dinosaurs or monster hunter with guns. instead I got 5 minute pve mode that's 50% running to the next objective like the shitty 2013 version of warframe extermination missions that bugged out with 10 per room followed by a round of payload except the one time it actually gave me something fun in the 10 man mission. it's clear from customization that I won't get what I want, augments look mediocre and even guns are preset by exosuit it's a thinly veiled hero shooter.
The big dinos are legit fun to fight, and the special types are decently threatening. The main problem with PvPvE is that this game is snowball heavy and if you start off doing well you will rarely get the challenging spawns.
this, i find the pve game to get duller much faster. also, gays are out here complaining about pvp missions being game changers to losing games as if they'd prefer to just lose right there, dinosaur upgrades during pve don't fricking work cause the enemy is already super focused on killing dinos, in PVP a boss dino can at least catch them off guard.

one thing players never understand, but if you have a CASUAL playerbase, mode attached to a pvp mode, letting players choose what they want to play, the game WILL live longer. Because once the sweaty tryhard takes over and the game is an impossible balancing act, at least you can play pve where it doesn't matter. And you want people to hop on and play a few matches for FUN with friends or randoms.

People don't know to change loadouts of secondary weapons... that motherfricker can be stunned with the ninja electric star and roadblock can stop the BIG LASER from his mouth twice before the shield break

zephyr is a melee dps and most of the players are braindead staying away from the objective which tracks because interceptor had the worst detonation effect and wasted all the primes with their melee that could've been ranger detonated for a much higher single target impact damage multiplier or colossus which did aoe blast and could chain detonate.

The trailer makes it sound like Dino Survival and Wargames are too seperate modes, especially since you've got progressional upgrades for your suits as well, but story very well could simply be a collection of cutscenes, logs, and boss fights. At the most I'm only expecting pre-set, offline missions modes ala Anarchy Reigns though.

Nothing compares to jumping in on the tank as Witch doctor, putting up my AOE heal and then watching the tank immediately walk out of it and die. Many such cases, people fricking run away from me all the time when I'm trying to heal them
she's really good at mopping up snipers that are mid or bad
pair her with the dash ability and you just cycle between it and her two dashes
close the distance on a sniper and just wand them to death
cant hit you very well while you constantly dash, they panic and miss shots, and the sniper has no way to disengage other then running away

I'd suggest you don't drop into your team if you're shot with an AR. the grenade launcher ability is really easy to get past a tank's shield

Couldn't tell you myself, it's honestly working better on my PC, but in turn it's taking far higher resources. I'm still shocked a 1060 can keep up with this though at 60FPS, even if it pushes my CPU and GPU towards 80% each.
Also I do like the flow and interactions of this game, but I can for sure seeing this getting old fast like Ninjala and other games of this nature.
It's not really EDF per say, if anything the game itself is far more about team cohesion then just simply killing stuff. The PVE part is to feel out your team and give you time to swap out suits/gear as needed till you feel like stuff clicks. It's far more about the PVP goalset post effect.
I assume it varies by suit, the translator just wrote that in the text document and the moron putting it in game didn't change it to read the actual amount of points needed
its the opposite for me. first beta ran worse there was some sort of cpu bottlenecking issue i couldnt get more than 100fps. this beta im consistently at 120-144fps. it always helps to update your drivers. the latest preview ones from amd added HAGS support which improved latency a ton in games.

shootyman shits out damage compared to the others. it was your team don't listen to hateanon
score is weighted so oddly. the worst match I've ever had score wise was when I decided to be an absolute pest and racked up 10+ enemy team kills and wiped their cube out three times. killing dinos seems to give more points and healing/tanking seems to give more points than any type of damage dealing.
Went to check on Steam, it's even more expensive than Starfield in my area lol. Only saving grace of this game is being on GamePass which I pay like $2 a month.

I played it for like 5 hours. It was fun but I wish the PvP was not the only mode. I enjoyed the 10 vs the Giant Dino boss the most, The Hammer mission was the worst, and the carry the square was just boring, you rely too much on your team and I hate that.

I think a lot of people will end up disabling cross play unless theres no one to play with. Console vs pc when the sniper is one of the best characters for the pvp section is just a stomp.
really digging the game, I really just wish the pvp portion wasn't so weighted behind who gets the better Dominator Dino.
Save it for the final stretch and then cause enough chaos where the team with the better dominator can entrench themselves around the point and cannot come back.
I can explain, you see those aerial enemies can't be hit by any aoe from your teammates so you're doing your job as zephyr perfectly by sabotaging your team.

There is a set button you have to press on the bottom right. It's really hard to see. If you don't press it it just deletes your selections. There's a lot of things in this game that are just confusing like that

the objective has a perimeter that you need to be in for it to move and it goes faster the more of your team is in the square. melee morons run away from this zone to kill the 5 raptors that spawn ahead and will rush to the objective anyways, slowing their side down for zero gain.
The samurai guy is currently decent because the average player doesn't even realize they're being attacked or will attack into his counter then get destroyed. So two of those can really frick up the enemy team if your other 3 are capable of handling the cube on their own. Thats a big if though. Melee is bad when both teams know what they're doing

I really wanted to like the idea of Exoprimal. I'm not a huge Dino Crisis gay, but I do feel for them because of the fake out. Still, Lost Planet: Extreme Dinosaurs sounded rad as frick. I like sci-fi and I like co-op games and I like PvP, but that's an extremely small niche.
Warframe has done well for itself because it's free, turd worlders can make money playing it via real money trading, and it has big robot butts.
That said, I haven't played Warframe in years, and it sounds like everything is content islands and no challenge; so someone COULD absolutely dethrone Warframe. But not as a new IP from a new studio (or not a well known one) with a full price AAA tag and a day one battle pass and almost certainly cosmetic cash shop shit and so on.

What I mean is that the game pressures you to swap to keep up because the game is clearly unbalanced when it comes to suit matchups like Overwatch/Shadowrun2007. It's not hard to see how meta sweaty this is only going to get if they add ranked or battle pass incentives.

For me it's a mixed bag, and really depends on what you want out of the game.
If you're like me and expected EDF but with Dinos based on the first things shown, you probably won't be happy.
If you're only wanting PvP stuff where it's teams of mech suited soldiers of different classes squaring off, you probably also won't be happy.
Because the game is trying to do some mis-mash of the two which personally I feel just leaves the game in a position where it doesn't know what it wants to be.
And admittedly just based on the beta, it's a pretty bad snapshot of the game. Since (supposedly) there will be the ability to do specifically PvP, PvE, or the mashed together system. And some solo stuff as well.
Gunplay I found fine, nothing fantastic but shooting felt nice and the suits all operated differently in nice ways.
In short, I feel like they had a really cool idea going and then shot themselves in the foot by not picking a specific type of gameplay to focus on.
There's a problem with having a ton of different game modes that require 10 players each. The game is $60. Doesn't matter if its on gamepass, didn't stop Bleeding Edge from dying. Put in all the game modes you want so everyone is happy but you are going to actually need people to play with first. Even multiplayer games with tons of players know not to split your playerbase. At best your queue times will be awful, at worst your game will just be completely dead.
Having hordes of dinos feels weird to me. In popular culture predatory dinosaurs are usually in packs or isolated. It's like they didn't want to just copy Left4Dead's zombie hordes so they came up with the next most popular thing.
It really is weird, especially when you look at something like Monster Hunter. Hunting brute wyverns more or less feels like what fighting an actual dinosaur might be like.
Think about Exoprimal's setting. Their weapons could literally melt MH monsters out of existence.

I really don't understand people only wanting to play PvE modes in this game. Don't get me wrong, I know not everybody enjoys competitive games and that's fine, but fighting the dinos in this game is so mind-numbingly simple the only time I felt engaged in the last beta was fighting and killing other players

PvEvP here is fun and no one can't change my mind
I wanted edf with dinosaurs or monster hunter with guns. instead I got 5 minute pve mode that's 50% running to the next objective like the shitty 2013 version of warframe extermination missions that bugged out with 10 per room followed by a round of payload except the one time it actually gave me something fun in the 10 man mission. it's clear from customization that I won't get what I want, augments look mediocre and even guns are preset by exosuit it's a thinly veiled hero shooter.
The big dinos are legit fun to fight, and the special types are decently threatening. The main problem with PvPvE is that this game is snowball heavy and if you start off doing well you will rarely get the challenging spawns.
this, i find the pve game to get duller much faster. also, gays are out here complaining about pvp missions being game changers to losing games as if they'd prefer to just lose right there, dinosaur upgrades during pve don't fricking work cause the enemy is already super focused on killing dinos, in PVP a boss dino can at least catch them off guard.

one thing players never understand, but if you have a CASUAL playerbase, mode attached to a pvp mode, letting players choose what they want to play, the game WILL live longer. Because once the sweaty tryhard takes over and the game is an impossible balancing act, at least you can play pve where it doesn't matter. And you want people to hop on and play a few matches for FUN with friends or randoms.

zephyr is a melee dps and most of the players are braindead staying away from the objective which tracks because interceptor had the worst detonation effect and wasted all the primes with their melee that could've been ranger detonated for a much higher single target impact damage multiplier or colossus which did aoe blast and could chain detonate.

from what I can tell the "story mode" is just collecting items that drop in matches and then using them to unlock cutscenes like how pso2s old matter board use to work. you basically get dripfed cutscenes by doing busy work and not an actual campaign mode.
The trailer makes it sound like Dino Survival and Wargames are too seperate modes, especially since you've got progressional upgrades for your suits as well, but story very well could simply be a collection of cutscenes, logs, and boss fights. At the most I'm only expecting pre-set, offline missions modes ala Anarchy Reigns though.

Forced PVP has made my interest go from 9/10 to 3/10 instantly.
All I was looking for is a game where I could comfortably grind stuff out and optimize my workflow to insane degrees on the highest difficulties.

It's not really EDF per say, if anything the game itself is far more about team cohesion then just simply killing stuff. The PVE part is to feel out your team and give you time to swap out suits/gear as needed till you feel like stuff clicks. It's far more about the PVP goalset post effect.

runs the same for me but I got 16gb of ram and a 3070
its the opposite for me. first beta ran worse there was some sort of cpu bottlenecking issue i couldnt get more than 100fps. this beta im consistently at 120-144fps. it always helps to update your drivers. the latest preview ones from amd added HAGS support which improved latency a ton in games.

score is weighted so oddly. the worst match I've ever had score wise was when I decided to be an absolute pest and racked up 10+ enemy team kills and wiped their cube out three times. killing dinos seems to give more points and healing/tanking seems to give more points than any type of damage dealing.

I think a lot of people will end up disabling cross play unless theres no one to play with. Console vs pc when the sniper is one of the best characters for the pvp section is just a stomp.

the objective has a perimeter that you need to be in for it to move and it goes faster the more of your team is in the square. melee morons run away from this zone to kill the 5 raptors that spawn ahead and will rush to the objective anyways, slowing their side down for zero gain.
The samurai guy is currently decent because the average player doesn't even realize they're being attacked or will attack into his counter then get destroyed. So two of those can really frick up the enemy team if your other 3 are capable of handling the cube on their own. Thats a big if though. Melee is bad when both teams know what they're doing

this is a stress test beta, having only their shittiest final mission available doesn't keep players engaged long enough to overload the servers
is it fun once, twice maybe three times? sure. but 6 hours with the beta and Im good bro. I'll pass on this one. Capcom is still the goat but this game is a pure stinker and its DOA.
I think it will be fun in small doses. Not a game I would put hundreds of hours into, but something I might pick up one night every now and again to unwind a bit
