Only just now realizing the Pokemon show is just an extended advertisement for Pokemon products?
With Pokemon Journeys they barely covered Sword/Shield games while previous anime were much closer to the games. Also Journeys was mostly advertisement for Pokemon GO. Also with the current anime they made up new characters instead of using the games' Pokemon trainers.

They literally pandered to Pokémon Go on the first episode or so of the show and that was it. And no, calling someone "Goh" is not shilling a literal phone app. It's only taking inspiration of the app, considering his dream was to find Mew, not to defeat the Shadow Pokémon, defeat the Blue/Green/Yellow team members, etc.

Leon was the #1 trainer in the entire world and Ash’s goal was to beat him, the entire Darkest Day plot from the games played out with Sonia and Leon having supporting roles and Rose as the antagonist, Ash formed a rivalry with Bea that culminated in her using Gmax Machamp to fight Mega Lucario, Allister helped Ash’s Gengar become Gmax capable, and Raihan was Ash’s final obstacle to the Masters 8. Hop was present in the audience for the entire Masters 8 arc.

Leon's role was world champion for the PWC, it had nothing to do with the Galar league. I think you could count all the episodes Leon appeared on 1 hand prior to the M8. Darkest day arc was like 4 episodes. Bea had a mini rivalry and while she battled Ash 3 times, that consisted of around 4 episodes. Alister got an episode and Raihan got about 3 episodes, while Hop was delegated to a cheering role. Please tell me how a series supposedly advertising SWSH probably doesn't have more than 20% of its episodes focusing on Galar. Hell, you mentioned ALL the Galar gym leaders we saw besides Opal, they couldn't even be bothered to cameo the rest.

Funny how in the indigo league, every ep had a new location despite irrelevant events, now we just bullshit in the same location for 5 eps until plot kicks in. These frickers can visit a new region, town, city everyday but nah we gotta bullshit on an airship chasing a shiny rayquaza.
I keep going back and forth between these two images trying to figure out what happened to the art. Horizon's looks so flat and sterile even in its promo art. Then again, I've been saying that as far back as DP.
