Exactly. Upscaling 1440p to 4k actually is passable. There's some shit you can notice if you really look hard, but at worst it looks similar and at best (game has TAA if you're not using DLSS/FSR) it looks BETTER.

Sorry this just looks the the old FXAA crap from before games stopped having normal graphics options.

More like OP wrote himself a fake first paragraph to an article.

The only article posted on that site by that author on that date using that image has nothing to do with screen resolutions at all.

It's a 4Kgay coping that no one cares about joining in on the FOMO.

      >Why would you need anything more than a CRT? It's like natural anti-aliasing! Humans can't see over 1080p anyway

      [...]
      >wait till you find out about the research groups that only get paid if their study comes to predetermined conclusion.

I always hear about this, yet no one can name any groups or grants that stipulate this. Can you?

You are just as capable of looking into the people behind it. No one needs to inform your lazy ass.

You can keep believing all you want that Coke just so happens to be nearly as good as water at hydration, but normal people will see a study run by a group set up by Coca Cola, still funded by Coca Cola, and whose current president's last job was as a marketing exec and see nothing wrong with it, everyone with a brain in their skull will.

Your eyes don't do SHIT about that, that's your BRAIN. Maybe you've looked at too many low resolution pictures and your brain strain is getting to you.

while I'm aware of israeli marketers trying to push shit down our throats, in this case it's not bs, obviously you need to scale UI so it isn't for ants.
For a long time I had two monitors, both 24 inch, both 144hz, both TN and both of very comparable class. One was 1080p and the other was 1440p. I spent tens of hours comparing games on both screens and the higher resolution was way easier on eyes, just scale the UI.

Same plus handhelds at even lower resolutions than CRTs and my eyes started going to shit before I even cared about games.

But we were paying at 720p and 1080p for years on the PS3 and PS4 and it was fine. Why do current gen games needs to be played at 4k to avoid eye damage?

Lower resolution on a higher resolution screen is an issue. Did they specifically test different monitor sizes of they were all the same with different res settings?
