I wouldn’t want to play any newer gen game on the Steam Deck I have one, tried playing forespoken, the thing works but barely. Had to stop playing it due to how potato like the graphics looked, it was actually ruining the experience for me.
And even games like Spider-Man miles morales I get crashes on it.
At least have some standards when it comes to the performance on some games man.
Obviously he could have, but I doubt he really cared all too much, I just know what it is like to run games on potato hardware and it isn’t good nor is it nice. There are times where you just need to give up and throw the towel. Running an aaa games at under 30fps at sub 720p really isn’t nice and fsr looks grim.

Imo these handhelds are just too much of a beta product to be widely adopted. But I would rather have something like a Legion Go handheld due to it being a good enough pc to do other tasks.

You only need to lower the settings that affect the CPU. Texture quality can be maxed out, it has more than enough memory; as long as textures are set to at least high, the game looks fine.

This is the example you will often find for Steam Deck users (and linux users as well). It's all copacabana. They'll say something is playable as long as it can display itself and not give an error the first 5 minutes. Any performance is good performance. If something isn't there, as long as they don't notice (like videos for instance) they just simply don't care, Platinum status.
Instead of buying a fricking handheld to play BG3, get yourself a budget gaming PC. Those exist for the same price and are much more decent. Playing these kinds of games on a 7'' at a low resolution hoping your battery doesn't die is like watching a movie on your iPhone in the late 2000s. Get real.

Consoles are plugged into a wall and able to push their hardware to its maximum, it's not a 15W mobile device. The switch is the valid comparison and it runs every game as bad as the deck or worse
The switch is also way older and while it doesn't get the newest AAA slop it does get Nintendo games that perform well and look good enough

I'd say you can emulate switch games but the performance isn't great, read dead gets 25fps, whilst an overclocked switch gets 60fps.
