he's right but not on a 10 year GPU swap timescale, more like 4-6 years. if you have a good build it can last up to a decade with a decent GPU switch. my i7 2600k from 2011 lasted me until 2020 and went through 3 GPUs.
my current pc is 3 years old and will get an rtx 5000 series card to last until 2027-8 or whatever
You don't need a $2000 PC to 'be' a PC gamer, and there isn't anything out there even remotely worth getting a top of the range PC for. Unless you render 4K videos or 3D models for a living.
PC gaming has gotten more expensive than consoles since covid, unless you pirate everything. Modern titles are massive and unoptimized, and the israelites at Nvidia and AMD have basically killed the midrange GPU.

I enjoy the experience of gaming on my couch, infront of my tv, with a controler in hand. I enjoy some of the games that are "exclusive" to certain consoles. I actually enjoy some of the ease of use that a console enviroment provides.
I also enjoy PC gaming, shit runs infinitely better on my gaming rig, and playing on a PC is a totally different experience than playing on consoles.

why not? it's the best tv experience. my pc setup/oled tv are next to each other so it's really simple for me. got most emulators setup too it's great having an all in one gaming box.

Just like since gen 7 consoles will never be a pc, pc will never be able to replicate a dedicated device. Stick to the desktop + chair of choice for lumbar support with kb+m

The only reason sonygays have kept up their excuses is that they got bloodborne last gen. Where the frick have all of the compelling arguments for consoles been all the years? even when they get exclusives they're lacking meaningful ones. I'd say Yakuza was the only thing keeping the PS3 afloat and relevant for some of us. And even Sony their exclusivity rights on that.
