>dude let me just not interact with other racers lmao
Gooseshitters projecting again. I’m trying to get a GP win with this shitmobile and one thing that really jumps out after doing it with all the other cars is how fricking braindead it is. You don’t have to worry about the other racers at all, they just don’t effect you. Go ahead, take any racing line you want, everyone else will just bounce off. It doesn’t even feel like racing, you just float around like a spastic waiting for a cheap kill and wait for the skyway and newly filled up boost bar to win the race for you. No wonder the GP podiums always have at least two Geese on it.
Make a mistake and lose speed? Don't worry, you have the highest acceleration. Not that it matters, you'll just use one of your countless boosts to reach max speed immediately again anyway.
Close to dying? Don't worry, you're likely 2 seconds ahead of the competition from the constant boosting with no risk of getting hit, and healing *completely* given its absurd recovery speed.
Sting Ray's objectively the most skill-based. Can't afford to boost ever, worst acceleration so making a single mistake basically takes you out of the race, and recovery's nearly non-existent. It demands perfection and no mistakes.
there's a nice discussion to be had on Stingray vs. Falcon in regards of how much you have to play your ass off to win; Stingray gets bullied harder if it ever flags but has win conditions, Falcon has more flexibility but gets DUMPSTERED by blue bumpers and has no true win condition
yeah i honestly wouldn't mind balance patches to keep things fresh. its what the games going to need as soon as knight cup comes out to keep things somewhat interesting.

>t. Goose Player
Goose is by far the most popular machine and also the most forgiving in pretty much all aspects. Second best top speed. Good acceleration. Doesn't get bullied like Falcon and Stingray do. To call any machine a crutch while you are a goosegay is hilarious.
Why are you Foxgays so defensive about your machine being the biggest crutch? A decent Fox should always run away with the race over a decent player of any of the other machines.
>seethes when his car is called a crutch but swears the foxgays are defensive
your bunga ass car is not difficult to play, if you cant beat a golden fox with +5 kill boost meter like every other goose can you should kys
it's always hilarious to me when i see a back marker, i just picture them playing so ridiculously bad . I've never seen that many at once before that's even more hilarious lmao.
I still play prix because theyre fun but ive pretty much accepted that im never going to win one. I got 6th first try at the queen league and can make it to the finale pretty consistently in both but there's always at least one expert player who has it down to a science and is going for 1000 pts. My best run I got a 2nd and 1st place finish but was still nearly 100 pts behind the top 3 players. Just glad I managed to win one regular 99.
In those cases you just gotta give it your all to frick them over. Even if you might die in the process, getting one good wall bump or bullying them out of the recharge strip once can completely destroy their boost management. Those players depend on not doing a single mistake to get those scores.
I won my first Queen GP that way.
People act like those 99+ wins players are untouchable and that is what allows them to dominate
i'm a 99+ win player and I frick up all the time, an embarrassing frequency actually, I've just played long enough to know how to do above average in every situation.
Mostly playing Blue Falcon though which pretty much invites being screwed over by a light breeze, though there are some tracks where a Falcon can still escape if it gets a strong unchallenged start (White Land I, Red Canyon I)
I don't know Iceman, but Lunaiire is good regardless, the only issue is him being a Foxgay so his victories are obviously inflated by that card and the game constantly giving Mute City. I prefer watching Zewing, top Stingray gameplay is very satisfying to watch and it's good to learn strats for that car.
Yesterday I went back to playing Stingray, I realized it was only a matter of learning how to do curves with minimal speed loss. I easily beat all of my previous records with Goose in Time Trials and before ending the day, I got 2nd Place on Queen Cup by 6 points, only because I hit walls a bit too much on both White Lands and the rival above me managed to finish the last race one position behind me. Also two more 1st Places so now I'm at 31 wins.
Stingray needs a very slight buff. Either a bit less boost cost or less easy to bump around. Preferably less boost cost because currently it's way too much given how God awful Stingray's acceleration is. However being less bumped around would be good too. I swear I get bumped farther then the golden fox sometimes. There are times where I'd go from the middle of the road to a barrier in single millisecond after being bumped by a Golden Fox or Blue falcon.
First lap I usually never boost. If I do boost, it's on the healing zone right at the start so you recover pretty much all of your health back, and even then that's only if the track has a long enough boost pad. Second lap at least 80% of the time you can earn a skyway, so there's a meterless boost right there. Lap three comes you should ideally be at 90+ health and can finally start boosting. Using your spins defensively to lose less health is a must, I usually save them during turns so I can cut though and get a better line or if I'm in the middle of the horde as a shield.
Stingray is already the best speedrunning vehicle in the game, and loads of top players main it and do extremely well. You buff that vehicle at all and it's going to completely unbalance the game
>N-nooo it's actually bad on X number of tracks!
meanwhile in reality anyone even half decent with the fox can easily win on every single track. I know because I have.
stingray main here with 23 wins, the machine is fine as is. the only rebalance the game needs is a small fox nerf so it doesn't autowin on basic-b***h tracks, and a slight falcon buff so it doesn't lose on every regard
>be mediocre stingray player >sand ocean, my favourite, and with a very good start to boot >head to head against a very good fox player who makes no mistakes >last few turns in lap 4, dude boosts into a red bumper >this is my chance >BOOST BOOST BOOST >lose control and crash into the last corner >still somehow come out in second
Got too greedy there lads, I could've gone if I hadn't boosted there, but it was still a very good race. I enjoyed it.
it feels like most of my GP runs are decided at mute city, fricking place has nowhere to gain ground on via good cornering. I know it probably won't happen but I'd love a randomized GP track setup someday.
Unfortunately that's the case. You can still recover if you end in the Top 15 and later maintain Top 5 positions, but if I end below 25th Place I simply quit, there's no way I'm winning by then.
it's pretty frustrating because I can easily take top 3 on the hardest tracks in the GP but I spend so much of Mute City getting bumped around that it's a crapshoot whether or not I place well there.
Yeah, you just have to take your lines to the best of your abilities and hope for the best and some lucky skyways. The problem is that Mute City is also Lucky Bumper galore, so there will always be buttholes trying to stop you just because they can. That's my huge issue with GPs, Lucky Bumpers shouldn't exist there, even yesterday in White Land II people would still stay after crashing. You already lost, move on, the only thing you're doing is being a massive butthole to someone who's probably on his way to win his first GP.
In a 99 mode, sure. You could argue that perhaps the Golden Fox is better than the other machines on the easy courses, which most people pick. But in grand prix mode it absolutely isn't. The Golden Fox is simply not meant to accumulate KOs like the Wild Goose and Stingray can. By the final race, you are probably on your base booster levels still while you are dealing with a dozen Pico players and a few Stingrays who have managed to farm bumpers and other racers for 4 of the previous races. Is that to say Golden Fox is bad in Grand Prix? No. But you see shit like this all the time.
>w-well it's actually bad in GP
If you think it's bad in GP you are unironically moronic. There is only shit drivers, the machine itself is overtuned as frick.
I'm not afraid of the golden fox, but it's pretty annoying how their best track is the most common track in 99 mode due to it essentially being in the lineup twice.
If fox is so easy, play a GP or 2 every day the rest of the week. Take a screenshot at the end of the prix. Let's see how many times you place with fox.
I only play stingray. Have 0 interest in playing other machines. You are making the claim it's the easy win machine. I'm asking you to prove it, either you can or you can pussy out, that's all there is to it, I'm done with this empty back and forth shit. I'll put my money where my mouth is. Show me some easy wins and I'll lick 10 switch cartridges on webm and post it this weekend along with a personal apology.

>only plays stingray
no wonder you're obsessed with substantiation, you're playing THE feast or famine machine. At least Stingray actually has to fricking interact with the other racers without being able to escape for free.
Not the anons you're arguing with, but the reason Fox is 'broken' is because at the highest echelons of play it almost completely divorces itself from any interaction with other players. Goose is the other side of the scale where even spin attacks barely nudge you, so it's idiot-proof, but it still has to throw its weight around to win.
I think what makes this game more frustrating then it should be is the lucky bumpers. Can't tell you how many times they've turned a bad race into the most frustrating races I've ever played it.
I've lost more 1st place leads to lucky bumpers than I have actual misplays or excellent challenges from 2nd place spinning into me at crucial turns. Port Town's magnet section and Death Wind 2's zippers are extremely frustrating at times if the blues line up to completely block your way through, especially in Port Town where hitting the magnets punts you directly into the red bumpers.
I've started saving my boost so I can manipulate how far ahead they spawn so only blues that know how to brake/accelerate can ruin everything, but there's really nothing stopping them from deciding it's you specifically they want to frick up and send to 20th place for no material gain of their own.
I think that's what makes Falcon the weakest vehicle; despite being the best bumper dodger otherwise, it's the worst at dealing with blues.
Here's the last GP I did with the Fox. It's really not a difficult machine in the slightest. >Kek Knight League
I'll post the Queen League in a moment.

Man, I'm extra dumb. That and it's replies were meant for
If fox is so easy, play a GP or 2 every day the rest of the week. Take a screenshot at the end of the prix. Let's see how many times you place with fox.
>good enough to win GPs even against seasoned players >extremely demoralized when I encounter someone better still than me >continue playing the game even when I'm in a foul mood or exhausted and making stupid mistakes like running into bumpers or crashing into walls without any interference from other players, simply don't react/think fast enough
I love F-Zero but I really wish there was a CPU mode where I can take my top 10% autism and enjoy myself without fretting over the top 1%. This brings out the worst of my perfectionism.
t. Falcon player
I think what makes this game more frustrating then it should be is the lucky bumpers. Can't tell you how many times they've turned a bad race into the most frustrating races I've ever played it.
Even better when you're the one who makes them crash, I tend to play around the same hours as cirno_tv and it's always fun to watch him as a pile of ash on the floor. He's a foxgay too.
>red bumpers take the equivalent of a boost away from a machine depending on what machine they hit >meaning foxgays get to keep boosting just fine
Who the frick thought this was ok? Also frick red bumpers. People in first can avoid them just fine because they see them coming, but they frick over everyone behind first.
I think what's also annoying about red bumpers is some parts of the track in lap 4 they are nigh impossible to avoid if they spawn in a bad pattern at the wrong time. Especially on sharp turns.
HEHE JUST BRAKE BRO UHHHH SKILL ISSUE BRO lol haha lmao OH look at em skyway above you ahha damn that sucks bro, shoulda boosted differently that lap i guess haha WOOPSIE DOODLE fox is fine man you just SUCK HAAHAA
>shoulda boosted differently that lap
this is the worst part, you CAN boost to control when red bumpers spawn or how fast you get through their sections but then here comes a Lucky Bumper to drag you down with his own failure
White Land I's bumpers can be really annoying too since depending on how close to 1st you are, certain patterns to take the jump shortcut get drastically more difficult to perform or are outright impossible from certain angles depending on how displaced you are
I’m mostly just unlocking all of the colors and decals that I can, except wins. The only win I got was with the Goose, but so far I think I prefer Stingray. I’ve moved on to trying the Fox, then finishing with Falcon.
I’m probably never going to win a GP, and I’m not likely to get another first place ever again. My dexterity and reaction speed is shit because I am an actual moron. It’s a humbling game.
Got my second GP win yesterday. I still have yet to win one with Stingray or Falcon. I'm consistently placing in the top 10 (as long as I don't crash out), but I'm still finding myself finishing dozens of points behind the leaders.
Nothing quite like going head to head with the same equally-skilled player in the same machine over and over on the hard tracks too.
Or getting matched with them in the Mini GP right after. Good games Vektor, sorry for causing us both to crash out so often lmao
I've never raced on the pro tracks. Are they just the most difficult tracks put together, or are they exclusive variations of the game's tracks to make them more difficult?
Both. It's the harder tracks, but since a large portion of tracks in the original F Zero is just variations, and final tracks are locked to GPs it's currently 2 harder versions of normal tracks and White Land 1.
With Kings Cup we will most likely also get Red Canyon 2 as Pro track
its tracks you dont see in 99 mode. thats really all it is. they are nice since they aren't bullshit easy wins but the fact its fomo'd every like what, 30 minutes makes it suck ass
I can see the concern that those tracks might not *work* with 99 players since the turns are incredibly tight, but in that case i'd rather have the tracks slightly widened like Port Town 2 is compared to the original
I started playing the game on Saturday. It's quite addictive, but I feel like the addiction is more related to trying to get a better result in the next race than the fun of the game itself. The game is good, it reproduces the physics of the original F-Zero competently (much better than Mario 35 tried to do), but I feel that the final experience is a little bland.
If Nintendo makes a DLC with a decent single player mode, career, etc., maybe the game will be a little more interesting as a complete product.
I feel you, anon. >almost get first in queen >lucky bumper gay spawns in and slams on the break just before the end of white land 2 >unable to react in time end up bumping headfirst into him >lose all speed and see two other guys zoom past me >finish 3rd and get 2nd for the whole GP
Imagine a DLC with a track editor, transforming the game into a kind of Mario Maker where each player can upload their tracks.
Nintendo has already done this once, so I'm going to dream a little...
something about it is so carthartic
it has the right amount of controls, buttons, "tech", strategies, frickery, total courses.
but holy frick it has splatoon levels of timed rotations and bullshit that if they just let it all be thrown into a pile and let it just choose courses for us at random in 99's pool it would be almost perfect if they also gave us fzero x/gx graphics
Only have a couple of Goose colors left until I can start theorizing color and decal combinations that look nice for the other vehicles.
Since all that's left are the GP ones, I'm primarily playing Fox in 99 races, so sorry about that.
I know the key to Stingray is to get in 1st and try to hold it, but how do you get in 1st in the first place? I'm always stuck in the back of the pack to start every race
Farm superboost early and know the best points to use it on each track. Boost as little as possible until the last lap. Spin defensively to stop yourself from being ping ponged into frick land by goosegays. Don't make mistakes. Good luck.
Same anon here. Just placed 7th in my GP. I got fricked by Mute City and Red Canyon (30th and 17th). If you don't have superboost available on the last lap in those courses, you're fricked.
you can frontrun Red Canyon but it's tough and practice won't prepare you for the jukes and intentional slowdowns you'll have to do to dodge the bumpers. It's manageable even on Falcon
I've been having some success boosting early. You are more dependant on not fricking up as you are using up your reserve energy, but Stingray gets bullied so hard by knockback that getting ahead early ends up saving you energy in the long run
I'm taking a break from Goose and trying out Stingray. I keep crashing out, and still figuring out a strategy. I'm not used to getting pushed around.
What's a basic Stingray strategy? Should I try to get to the front early?
The way I'm currently playing is trying to get ahead of the pack ASAP, preferably stay on the Top 20 so I can still get some sparks to use a Skyway later. Boost smartly, you only have four boost per health bar so keep them when you're in a pinch like when you hit a wall or a bumper, because that horrendous acceleration will make you drive like a snail for a long time. Most importantly, get used to boost turning, as in tap the B button repeatedly so you can lose as little speed as possible while doing very sharp turns, anything below max speed allows Stingray to turn super sharply.
2-3 boosts on the first lap, 1 on laps 2 and 3, however many on lap 4. don't get greedy with boosts, you WILL die
Thanks for the advice. My issue is that I'm too use to the Goose boost stats, so looking at my meter I think I have more than I really do. That and getting knocked around more.
But it worked, and I won my first race with Stingray on Big Blue.
yeah Stingray boosts cost like 50% more meter than Goose boosts, so it's really easy to get caught by surprise how much faster your HP disappears if you use them recklessly.
>get into a Mini Prix >get good advantage and even a KO, I only have to catch up to the first place >it's Lunaiire >doesn't matter how hard I try to catch up to him he just boosts away because he's a foxBlack person
Nothing more demoralizing than watching this gigahomosexual boost away because the first two tracks were Mute City I and Death Wind I.
I actually got recommended to play Fox by Ganker. I tried every machine and I click with Fox more than the others.
My point is shut the frick up and git fud instead of crying about tierlist homosexualry like a fricking fighting game johnsing scrub. >UUUU IT'S THE META!
No, it's 100% you. Git gud. I play Fox and I suck at the game. Best placement I ever got was a single 99 win in 25 hours of play. I crash all the time because I'm an impatient boost abusing moron.
Imagine if my excuse was "UUUU IT'S THE GOOSEBlack folk WHO BULLY ME WAAAH IT'S THE STINGBlack folk AND THEIR BROKEN TOP SPEED BOO HOO!"
Yeah, playerbase has gone down severely, today I joined a Pro race and it took forever to fill to 50 players until time ran out. But that's the nature of F-Zero, it's not a casual game at all doesn't matter how many comeback mechanics they add, you either actually bother to git gud or you become scrap and run away with your tail between your legs.
>totally liked spinning noob cpus too lol. remember the player controlled bumpers? lol
Ok how do any of those effect what tech the elites are performing? You just drive past them. Skyway is new but it's no secret at all, there's youtube vids you can watch right now if you want to know what the optimal spot is but even then it's not hard to see where a good spot is after using a few of them on a track it's usually obvious where the best spot is. 95% of the results people are getting are from understanding the physics and how to control the cars from this 30 year old game.

Yeah the 30 year old courses.
>INCLUDING. SKYWAYS
I already acknowledged that? Watch the youtube video and stop b***hing. It's sad how you think knowing where to simply tap the autopilot button is this super secret elite tech that's the sole reason everyone is getting wins.
No, some people are just that good, even Lunaiire when not using Golden Crutch can easily top races because his lines are very good but he lost so much rank when he switched to Stingray that he had to crawl back to Fox. Zewing is also amazing at using Stingray but I believe he used to speedrun the original. But yeah, don't let those 99+ wins scare you, a lot of them just farmed them during the first weeks with Fox. What matters is the rank because it proves that they're consistent at topping races.
they are good because they know shit the majority of the people playin this casually dont.
i know im being an "um ackhually" but thats how it is. wins dont mean shit. what matters is that im coming for you, and im gonna kill you.
forbidden tech for Port Town DO NOT READ don’t frontrun lap 1, farm skyway and pop it when you see someone doing the jump exploit before they get taxi’d back into place; the game thinks they’re actually that far ahead so you’ll get a ‘long’ skyway lasting you from the start all the way past the magnets, giving you a huge life advantage
Feels amazing to leapfrog over the sweats cheating their way to victory
shouldn't that crash you out by landing in the out of bounds region?
Don't get discouraged, I got my first win until I got to S rank and since then I've slowly gotten better and better, I'm now almost S9 with 32 wins and that by playing a couple of hours per day at most. Hit the time trials and take your time to learn your machine.
Important to get used to your machine of preference and how to take the turns as optimally as possible, mainly to give you some core knowledge of the tracks.
No, dummy, you land on the track. The game doesn’t like that and tries to taxi you back but if you do it correctly it actually puts you a little further ahead despite the lockdown.
>are time trials that important
No, the only thing that matters is being lucky enough to learn the super secret tech the elites are hoarding, then the 99+ free wins come rolling in
Don't get discouraged, I got my first win until I got to S rank and since then I've slowly gotten better and better, I'm now almost S9 with 32 wins and that by playing a couple of hours per day at most. Hit the time trials and take your time to learn your machine.
I'm at S2 and only won three times. I practice the maps, know the best places to boost and use the skyway, but it's all pure luck for me. I can get close to winning, but it's a rare moment when I'm able to use the skyway right at the end and still end up in 2nd or 3rd place at most.

Goose is by far the most popular machine and also the most forgiving in pretty much all aspects. Second best top speed. Good acceleration. Doesn't get bullied like Falcon and Stingray do. To call any machine a crutch while you are a goosegay is hilarious.
you dont have to worry about collision when you just boost past the pack anyway, Black personBlack personBlack person
>bawww I can't hit you and make you lose all momentum like I do stingray players das broken 🙁
Black folk of the f-zero grand prix, you are
Why are you Foxgays so defensive about your machine being the biggest crutch? A decent Fox should always run away with the race over a decent player of any of the other machines.
I play Stingray thoughever. I'm just telling it like it is.
>seethes when his car is called a crutch but swears the foxgays are defensive
your bunga ass car is not difficult to play, if you cant beat a golden fox with +5 kill boost meter like every other goose can you should kys
Kings League when?
Probably next week
>one more week Mute City/Big Blue
They need to add this shit asap
they need to start mirroring tracks in 99
probs thursday? 2 weeks of king league and 2 weeks of queen league
>backmarkers
>golden bumper as a hazard
>red bumper spam
can't believe I came out of this one alive
it's always hilarious to me when i see a back marker, i just picture them playing so ridiculously bad . I've never seen that many at once before that's even more hilarious lmao.
>i just picture them playing so ridiculously bad
dont do this. It's toxic
>safe 80
>89 racers still in
>you finish and get first
something's sus here.
>>safe 80
>>89 racers still in
doesn't that mean after the 80th person finishes, the last 9 get ranked out?not that there's 80 currently racing
it's a pro race numb nuts.
you start with 99 in pros. whiteland 1 and 2 are in pro.
yeah but final lap cutoff should be 80, so there shouldn't be more than 85 racers on the track after lap 3, no?
I finally did it, brahs.
don't give up stingGAWDS, you can achieve it.
Mostly playing Blue Falcon though which pretty much invites being screwed over by a light breeze, though there are some tracks where a Falcon can still escape if it gets a strong unchallenged start (White Land I, Red Canyon I)
>S17
Jesus fricking christ. It always amazes me how there will always be that one guy that plays a game 24/7 just to achieve those crazy ranks
its amazing how much different and more skill based it is when you have 40 useless bots when you join in last second in prix.
gays like icegay and xgay do that all the time.
Pretty much
Yesterday I went back to playing Stingray, I realized it was only a matter of learning how to do curves with minimal speed loss.
What's your win count
I don't play that much (still not level 60) and when I do I play all machines, but 36 with Stingray on its own. I typically play Blue Falcon though.
yeah the bumps are the only demeaning thing about playin stingray
one boost a lap till lap 2 and you're already half energy
You guys are doing something wrong. I can routinely get to lap 3 with 90+ health.
okay what are you doing right?
First lap I usually never boost. If I do boost, it's on the healing zone right at the start so you recover pretty much all of your health back, and even then that's only if the track has a long enough boost pad. Second lap at least 80% of the time you can earn a skyway, so there's a meterless boost right there. Lap three comes you should ideally be at 90+ health and can finally start boosting. Using your spins defensively to lose less health is a must, I usually save them during turns so I can cut though and get a better line or if I'm in the middle of the horde as a shield.
yeah thats nice.
Stingray is already the best speedrunning vehicle in the game, and loads of top players main it and do extremely well. You buff that vehicle at all and it's going to completely unbalance the game
Ah yes, because the Golden Fox boost forever meta is totally balanced and fair.
Fox dominates 3/12 tracks. Pack it up bros... game's over... fox is busted, meta is solved...
>N-nooo it's actually bad on X number of tracks!
meanwhile in reality anyone even half decent with the fox can easily win on every single track. I know because I have.
>making up a fake quote and typing out a studder
Yeah you're a gay. Cry more about fox. Not engaging further.
typical thin skinned fox troony
stingray main here with 23 wins, the machine is fine as is. the only rebalance the game needs is a small fox nerf so it doesn't autowin on basic-b***h tracks, and a slight falcon buff so it doesn't lose on every regard
Captain Falcon will ALWAYS prevail
>be mediocre stingray player
>sand ocean, my favourite, and with a very good start to boot
>head to head against a very good fox player who makes no mistakes
>last few turns in lap 4, dude boosts into a red bumper
>this is my chance
>BOOST BOOST BOOST
>lose control and crash into the last corner
>still somehow come out in second
You already lost, move on, the only thing you're doing is being a massive butthole to someone who's probably on his way to win his first GP.
>another fox whiner thread
I like how you can instantly spot a Golden Fox defender when they try to downplay how unbalanced the Fox is.
happens in fighting games all the time. low iq Black folk just doing Black person shit to win at all costs.
Yes, that's what defend means. Did you mean to say player? Wtf is the point of your post?
There is only shit drivers, the machine itself is overtuned as frick.
>>w-well it's actually bad in GP
I never said that.
>Is that to say Golden Fox is bad in Grand Prix? No.
Are you blind or just dyslexic?
>Are you blind or just dyslexic?
Even worse, he's a disingenuous hothead.
I like how you can instantly spot a loser when they start crying about the Golden Fox, as if that's the sole reason they'll never win.
Not my fault you're shit with the literal easy win machine.
Show me how it's done.
How about you keep whining that everyone agrees the fox is currently the meta machine?
he doesn't know what meta is. hes the type that just does team battle only lol
You have my address. Show me. Put your money where your mouth is.
How about you stop being such an utter shitter at the game you can't even win with the meta machine.
Who's talking about Stingray right now, homosexual?
>only plays stingray
no wonder you're obsessed with substantiation, you're playing THE feast or famine machine.
(me)
Man I'm dumb
And here's the Queen League
Expectedly worse, but was still a number 1 performance.
That is crazy good my dude
(me)
Man, I'm extra dumb. That and it's replies were meant for
*email me the pics, forgot to mention
NOOOOO STOP BEING FASTER THAN ME
I NEED TO RAM INTO YOU BRAINLESSLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE
>good enough to win GPs even against seasoned players
>extremely demoralized when I encounter someone better still than me
>continue playing the game even when I'm in a foul mood or exhausted and making stupid mistakes like running into bumpers or crashing into walls without any interference from other players, simply don't react/think fast enough
It brings me great joy whenever i see some moron with ".ttv" in their name in the results and they either crashed out or took 60th
Even better when you're the one who makes them crash, I tend to play around the same hours as cirno_tv and it's always fun to watch him as a pile of ash on the floor. He's a foxgay too.
>red bumpers take the equivalent of a boost away from a machine depending on what machine they hit
>meaning foxgays get to keep boosting just fine
White Land I's bumpers can be really annoying too since depending on how close to 1st you are, certain patterns to take the jump shortcut get drastically more difficult to perform or are outright impossible from certain angles depending on how displaced you are
GOOSE = MURDERERS
STINGRAY = SHITTERS
FOX = TRYHARD VIRGINS
FALCON = NOSTALGIA gayS
Which one do you use, anon?
Depends on the track I think it's going to be. For GPs I use goose
I'm shitters
"Look, I'm a cleaner. I can feel no remorse when seeing a dead body. To me it's merely cold rotting flesh."
Smash boomers samurai goro and falcon
I’m mostly just unlocking all of the colors and decals that I can, except wins. The only win I got was with the Goose, but so far I think I prefer Stingray. I’ve moved on to trying the Fox, then finishing with Falcon.
I’m probably never going to win a GP, and I’m not likely to get another first place ever again. My dexterity and reaction speed is shit because I am an actual moron. It’s a humbling game.
>Why yes, I am a Goose main, how could you tell?
I'm going to win this grand prix. Now that I've said it, it will happen.
>99+ win Golden Fox has joined your lobby.
>KOs himself at the start
its lucky bumper time

i want another alternative to unlocking colors bros....i dont care if i have to use 100 tickets total just a crumb of the colors please
>Hop off of skyway
>Land on 2 red bumpers
this shit will never not send me into a blind rage.
The lucky bumpers can frick off. The red bumpers are fin
this on top of the skyway ending right before a 90 degree turn
with red bumpers
who cares, you're on big blue 99.99999% of the time
I've got wins on every machine for Queen League except Fox and i'm too lazy to play it again
I'll cope with 1/2/1/1 on the records
how many suicides do i need for the badge? thinkin of tanking my rival points before i go full falcon mode
Got my second GP win yesterday. I still have yet to win one with Stingray or Falcon. I'm consistently placing in the top 10 (as long as I don't crash out), but I'm still finding myself finishing dozens of points behind the leaders.
another thread where I'll say that pro tracks should be a permanent mode
Nothing quite like going head to head with the same equally-skilled player in the same machine over and over on the hard tracks too.
Or getting matched with them in the Mini GP right after.
Good games Vektor, sorry for causing us both to crash out so often lmao
i wonder if they are open for suggestions ever.
even the subleddit is full of homosexuals just posting their wins and its getting old
I've never raced on the pro tracks. Are they just the most difficult tracks put together, or are they exclusive variations of the game's tracks to make them more difficult?
Just the harder Queen/King tracks excluding the finals. Still a pick one of two queue.
The former. It used to contain Port Town I before the Queen League was released
Wrong. It was Port Town 2 from the get go which means we actually got the harder variant before the easier one
This but also throw in the final tracks for GPs in with pro tracks once King drops. Its gay to have GP exclusive tracks.
I can see the concern that those tracks might not *work* with 99 players since the turns are incredibly tight, but in that case i'd rather have the tracks slightly widened like Port Town 2 is compared to the original
That or make another mode with like half the amount of racers.
If Nintendo makes a DLC with a decent single player mode, career, etc., maybe the game will be a little more interesting as a complete product.
>lucky bumper DETONATING ITSELF still blocks the final red canyon turn and gets me killed
I fricking hate these things
if only I hadn't fricked up red canyon
I want this win so bad
frick you david
I feel you, anon.
>almost get first in queen
>lucky bumper gay spawns in and slams on the break just before the end of white land 2
>unable to react in time end up bumping headfirst into him
>lose all speed and see two other guys zoom past me
>finish 3rd and get 2nd for the whole GP
Imagine a DLC with a track editor, transforming the game into a kind of Mario Maker where each player can upload their tracks.
Nintendo has already done this once, so I'm going to dream a little...
?si=lZxLO6PEaGVChO_f
>still getting threads
>still lots of players
I don't even like fzero but I'm happy for fzero homies getting something
something about it is so carthartic
it has the right amount of controls, buttons, "tech", strategies, frickery, total courses.
but holy frick it has splatoon levels of timed rotations and bullshit that if they just let it all be thrown into a pile and let it just choose courses for us at random in 99's pool it would be almost perfect if they also gave us fzero x/gx graphics
Just kill the fox
99 got me back into this series. It got me to play X for the first time and I just finished all GPs on Master.
>get six KOs on Death Wind I within a single lap
Oh so this is what bloodlust feels like
I'm taking a break from Goose and trying out Stingray.
2-3 boosts on the first lap, 1 on laps 2 and 3, however many on lap 4. don't get greedy with boosts, you WILL die
sounds like a quick way to frickin die
learn how to do blast turning, it's a fricking necessity on Stingray
>get into a Mini Prix
>get good advantage and even a KO, I only have to catch up to the first place
>it's Lunaiire
>doesn't matter how hard I try to catch up to him he just boosts away because he's a foxBlack person
Nothing more demoralizing than watching this gigahomosexual boost away because the first two tracks were Mute City I and Death Wind I.
>Complains about meta winning races
>Chooses to not play meta.
Play Golden Fox if you're so mad about losing or shut the frick up already.
All I hear is "I fricking suck at the game and I get mogged by speedrunners."
Shut the frick up foxBlack person
I actually got recommended to play Fox by Ganker. I tried every machine and I click with Fox more than the others.
My point is shut the frick up and git fud instead of crying about tierlist homosexualry like a fricking fighting game johnsing scrub.
>UUUU IT'S THE META!
No, it's 100% you. Git gud. I play Fox and I suck at the game. Best placement I ever got was a single 99 win in 25 hours of play. I crash all the time because I'm an impatient boost abusing moron.
Imagine if my excuse was "UUUU IT'S THE GOOSEBlack folk WHO BULLY ME WAAAH IT'S THE STINGBlack folk AND THEIR BROKEN TOP SPEED BOO HOO!"
sorry but i play goose because kappas are based, and fox is a homosexual. period.

Is it true that starting beyond Rank S+ you can rank down? I saw someone claim this.
Yes. If you lose to all your rivals, your ranking meter will take a dip.
Not just the meter. I saw someone on here claim they went from S3 to S2.
correct, you can go from S3 to S2 for example
S3 to S2 brained
Yes, that will happen.
At S rank, you need to maintain by continuing to rank high
You're right, it's possible to go from S3 to S2 for instance
Yeah. I jumped between S3 and S4 a lot when I was trying to get a blue falcon win in 99 mode.
>waiting for racers 55/99
>55/99
>55/99
>99/99
: /
Be glad you got 50 players.
Do they get filled in with bots? They all have unique names
Yeah, playerbase has gone down severely, today I joined a Pro race and it took forever to fill to 50 players until time ran out. But that's the nature of F-Zero, it's not a casual game at all doesn't matter how many comeback mechanics they add, you either actually bother to git gud or you become scrap and run away with your tail between your legs.
>do a pretty much flawless race
>get second, first place wasn't even in view
goddamn these 99+ frickers are ridiculous
theres probably some secret tech not shared but most of those people with that many wins are farming botted ass lobbies
>theres probably some secret tech not shared
Shitter cope lol. This game is like 30 years old. People are just good at it.
yeah i remember that skyway tech from 30 years ago man. totally liked spinning noob cpus too lol. remember the player controlled bumpers? lol
>totally liked spinning noob cpus too lol. remember the player controlled bumpers?
Black person. the game has racing lines, theres optimal routes for EVERY. FRICKING. COURSE. INCLUDING. SKYWAYS.
YOU KNOW?
THE NEW THING?
>theres optimal routes for EVERY. FRICKING. COURSE
What matters is the rank because it proves that they're consistent at topping races.
they are good because they know shit the majority of the people playin this casually dont.
i know im being an "um ackhually" but thats how it is. wins dont mean shit. what matters is that im coming for you, and im gonna kill you.
goosegay thought he could bully me out of a win, little did he know my superior speed allows me to kill him past the finish line
where can i download the hacks that let me do that?
>hit a grey bumper
>it starts to flash
>miss trying to hit it again
Every fricking time
this game has like a week left before it's just sweaty nerds
Yeah I can tell by this thread that everyone is a quitter, non stop whining.
Not yet, people are still waiting for the King League
I hate Red Canyon!
forbidden tech for Port Town DO NOT READ
don’t frontrun lap 1, farm skyway and pop it when you see someone doing the jump exploit before they get taxi’d back into place; the game thinks they’re actually that far ahead so you’ll get a ‘long’ skyway lasting you from the start all the way past the magnets, giving you a huge life advantage
Feels amazing to leapfrog over the sweats cheating their way to victory
>farm skyway and pop it when you see someone doing the jump exploit b
what is this exactly?
When you jump from the start to right before the magnets, saves about half a second each time you do it correctly.
shouldn't that crash you out by landing in the out of bounds region?
are time trials that important?
>are time trials that important?
Important to get used to your machine of preference and how to take the turns as optimally as possible, mainly to give you some core knowledge of the tracks.
No, dummy, you land on the track. The game doesn’t like that and tries to taxi you back but if you do it correctly it actually puts you a little further ahead despite the lockdown.
got a vid by chance?
watch any time attack
>are time trials that important
No, the only thing that matters is being lucky enough to learn the super secret tech the elites are hoarding, then the 99+ free wins come rolling in
t. buttmad little homosexual

um the game is 30 years old man. git gud lmao also make sure you dont have a bunch of crabs
>B+
>not one win
>not even top10 placement
I might need to retire. I'm very frickin ass it seems.
Why do you people shit on Golden Fox.
Do you understand what we suffer through to win SOMETIMES?
gee bill, 3 BOOSTS?
That's the strength of the car.
What do you people WANT?
total foxgay death.
a genocide even.
It's not enough for you people that Goose wins fricking everything all the time?
the goose is cooked. Stingrays are king.
So kneel gayboi.
Okay, so same question. It's not enough that the pink one wins everything all the time then?
jesus that first turn to overtake 2nd place
I'll pull shit like that then other times I'll drive straight into a red bumper as if my brain turned off
forget the overtake, you shouldn’t even have finished the race, you get pinballed to shit for hitting a red at that exact turn. Gave that red a nice good sniff and a pat on the back, dang
>somehow get 1st out of the gate
>hold it and cross the line in 1st
>out of the poit get bumped down to 15
>get hit again down to like 50
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>mini prix
>go goose
>get like 4 kos on drivers including a foxBlack person
YES
>crash out on Mute City
I'll fricking never win a Knight Cup
bro. how?
by playing stingray and losing 70% of my health in one lap by just bumping other players
holy shit I've never dominated a race like this before. second place was almost 4 seconds behind
was almost shitting myself trying to not end up eating a red bumper
Damn that weave at seven seconds in. Wouldn't have had the balls to do that.
>kill a falcon turd inches from finish
eat it b***h.
>tfw finally won a knight GP
0 race wins but got the dub in the end
I have never won a race.
>mini prix
>rank5th on port town
>kill a fox
YES
>rank out on whiteland1
gay shit.
>almost maxed all cars out with colors, sans three who have never won a GP
>can't get past 2nd place on queen league
Frick. I think I've met a wall, bruhs. Until King league.
>pro
>death wind2
>got 21 plus top 3 3 fox and A pilots
I'M IMPROVING Ganker.
one of my rivals was S4 with no wins. grim
I would like a standalone not always online video game
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FFFFFFFFRICK
Got fifth place on the last race of a mini prix.
Yay me.
>rank35
Frick it, I'll take that.
>got 3rd in the second race
>2nd in the third race
>but 35th in the first
ended up in 5th overall, frick Mute City
Yuh but why was the city mute?
Who stole its sounds?
It's short for Mutant City. Presumably sometime in the past a lot of mutants came to live there before becoming one of the most important cities in the galaxy.
Alright...so which F-zero racers are 'Mutants' then? Can be from any game, or the anime.
No, mutants lived there in the past, but technically Billy and Bio Rex are mutants as they were generically engineered anyway.
>No no the mutants are back underground
>well we have Biorex so it's not all bad
Ah based Western kind putting subhumans in their place even in the glorious year 3XXX.
Maybe there's still mutants, but with all the regular humans, aliens, cyborgs, transhumanist freaks, and at least one undead guy it's a pretty normal place now.
I see, like, 8-10 Foxes in front of the pack at the start of the race and they always crash out or get burned by experienced Goose, Falcon, and Stingray players. Fox is the noobtrap vehicle. I struggle to finish in the Top 10 anymore.
t. Golden Fox main
what the frick is even happening here?
Why'd they turn mr. zero into a creepy israelite
He's nuts and has announced every f-zero race since a hundred years before the series started
>suddenly can't play the game anymore because constant connection errors
>somehow mario maker 2 VS works just fine
I hate this system
Did they rebalance the game yet? I stopped playing when I realized it was gonna be foxspam
Nope. Stay filtered.
It isn't Fox spam though, and never was. I've literally never seen more that 25 Foxes in a single race, ever. Goose is the most picked machine in most races. The four machines are pretty well balanced despite what people think.
