This is literally how Steam work, only way for a game not to have positive review score is something like Starfield, where people buy game to explicitly leave negative review and refund. If you delete all negative reviews from Starfield with less than 10 hours played you will have very positive rating.

The story was enjoyable for me but I have been a fan of Suicide Squad for nearly 20 years. So seeing them actually kill the Justice League was kind of fun for me.
And as some who actually plays the game I am fairly certain that the Justice League is going to come back. Brainiac collects their bodies after you kill them. And each new season is going to add more to the story. I am positive that if it survives long enough to get to the final season that the League is only back.
But,I also think I'm wired different as repetition doesn't bother me. In fact it's relaxing I just put of music and get in a groove to grind these end game missions.
I think the vast majority of hate is coming from people who haven't even tried it. And the rest of the hate is from people like Yong Yea and content creators who are afraid to go against poplar opinion. Content Creators ALWAYS side with the popular opinion. You NEVER hear them say anything that most people don't agree with.
