Its the same situation. Devs who got so rich they have no reason to release the game if its not absolutely perfect, and thats impossible so its either infinite featurecreep or silent cancelment.
there's a streamer i don't like, wherever there's an event that anounce video games he watch it pand put in his stream title somehting like "silksong is here"
hatewatching him and see his despair at the end of each show fill me with joy, thank you silksong devs for fricking up
Yeah i've learned by now that just because they made a good game in the past doesn't mean they have any idea what they're doing.
Theres a good chance the game is just gonna suck, especially since they just seem to be stalling at this point.
See Darkest Dungeon, Subnautica, Killing Floor, etc.
>devs dont announce or promise much, if anything >no early access >game design made by 2-3 people >people already played demos with really good combat >tons of confirmed good shit like crests
im far more confident in this one than average by an immensurable ammount
The only way they can frick up is something at a more macro-scale, like ending up making the world and progression too linear. other than that i dont know where it could end up being bad
I feel like long term hype just turns into unobtainable expectationa that leaves people disappointed when the game finally releases. If more developers just kept their mouth shut and only announced sequels a few weeks or months before release I have a feeling they would end up ultimately being received better.
That won't make truly shit games any better of course, but it'll mitigate decent games from getting absolutely shit on because the players have been waiting for six years and they expect utmost, unobtainable perfection for waiting that long.
THIS IS THE YEAR!
wasn't it rated in australia this month?
it's coming
can confirm, am ghost
He blew our cover!
That is not true I am perfectly he
I am still hear, although probably not for long
Is Silksong seriously going to be the next HL3?
not many people are waiting for silk song compared to half life 3
People are waiting for Half-life 3?
no one waits for hl3 anymore

WHEN DOES IT END?
Do you think Silksong will release this year?
no
yes
We're almost in May, there's no way it comes out this year.
naw I'm still here sadly
I am literally dead right now
WHAT?
>people referring to the protagonist in HK as "Hollow Knight"
Well, depending on their ending, they could be (accidently) correct
I'M STILL BREATHING
Pretty much every sequel for the past decade has been a disappointment so I expect nothing from this.

How much more stalling will there be for Silksong, I wonder?

>his dreams haven't been completely crushed yet
that's nice anon I'm happy for you

Yep, silksong is definitely a prime example why don't show too much too soon.

If the vax didn't kill me then waiting for silksong won't either
