It's great but many of the quests seem rushed, which they probably were. Shorter dev cycle and much bigger game. Some tonal inconsistencies with all the pop culture references. But still a great game and in some ways better/just more fun than 1.
It's good, but it's priorities were different from Fallout 1's. The early game was garbage, the main story is meh, and I will never forgive it for putting psykers front and center.
But its not? It not like in family Gyu or Borderlands story stops in the track to reference something. If you know it you appreciate it if not it don't break immersion.
>Anyone who says it's their favorite is lying.
How does that work? I replau F2 every year. Never replayed 3 or NV and replayed first only several times. Never played 4.
frick, I was going to give a counter argument but you got quads, and 0 quads.
even if you're wrong and I' m right I still automatically lose.
you win this time.
Mediocre. >reused assets everywhere, the few new assets look like dogshit like the new playdoh san francisco npcs >early game is horrible, no weak guns, the temple of trials is an atrocity from a gameplay standpoint and a lore standpoint >world map is one huge disjointed mess with no flow >random encounters are off the walls, like 10-20 enemies at a time, which puts you in a horrible situation especially early where you know you 100% die but you can't run or end combat until 20 murderfrick nps end their turns >every city is a theme park >talking animals, in your face pop culture references every 5 minutes, 4th wall breaking, intelligent deathclaws, xenomorph aliens, magician super mutant that materializes deathclaws >the enclave oil rig is horribly designed and not at all fun >can talk to an enclave scientist and after 3 or 4 dialogue options you can convince him to kill everyone he has ever known with nerve gas >required to fight the final boss with no other options >lots of shitty real world modern weapons like the p90 that absolutely do not fit in fallout
Best one in the series IMO.
they took everything they learn from the first game and improve upon it.
it has better story, better dialogue, Frank Horrigan, better skills, no fricking timer to complete the main quest, Frank Horrigan.
it's goated.
absolutely loved it when i first played it 17 years ago, still love it now. god tier atmosphere and god tier soundtrack. oldschool fallouts take a fat shit all over bethesda
Remember thinking it was all over the place, going from Modok to San Fran to Reno to Vault town. It’s funny how Bethesda fallouts get called “theme parks” with worlds that have no cohesion. 2 is the most egregious for this
I like it. The main quest is a downgrade from 1, but I preferred the side content and I also found the state of the world more interesting, Fallout 1 still feels like a standard post-apocalypse in a lot of ways with the junker towns and such, but the cities in Fallout 2 ade much more advanced, while still having traits that make them feel like they're part if the wasteland rather than just being a modern city just slapped in there.
good game
God tier
I enjoy post post-apocalyptic kino

Woke garbage. Republicans are trying to save America - they're not "part of the problem".
There is no America to save, also the Enclave are literal glowies
My favorite fallout.
It's good, but it's priorities were different from Fallout 1's. The early game was garbage, the main story is meh, and I will never forgive it for putting psykers front and center.
The pop culture references aged poorly.
But its not? It not like in family Gyu or Borderlands story stops in the track to reference something. If you know it you appreciate it if not it don't break immersion.
Yes.
I hate breaking the fourth wall in 2. So jarring. Only hacks writers do this.
My Chrysalus Highwayman/10
I loved it but San Francisco always felt like it was created by people who didn't care about the tone, or story of the rest of the game
I think last part was rushed. And I agree that supertech chinks out of place 8n fallout.
I haven't got to it yet, I'm halfway through the first one
Higher highs and lower lows than 1.
Anyone who says it's trash is trash.
Anyone who says it's their favorite is lying.
>Anyone who says it's their favorite is lying.
How does that work? I replau F2 every year. Never replayed 3 or NV and replayed first only several times. Never played 4.
pretty much this, there’s plenty more outright fun stuff in 2, but there’s also just loads of bad design decisions
>I don't like thing
>so no one else in the world can like thing
must be hard having autism.
Must be hard not being able to read.
witnessed

It's my favorite. Fallout 1 felt like a demo in comparison.
It's vomit
Fallout is like persona
the first 2 games are so dated that it's safe to say these franchises don't exist until the third game
I don't think fallout started at tactics, nor did persona start at eternal punishment. Those would be pretty silly beliefs to hold.
You're a dumb gorilla Black person. Fallout 2 beats any of the shitty oblivion mods bethesda made.
tell that to the 5 people in the world who agree with you
Weak bait.
Fallout is like persona
the third game onward are so pozzed it's safe to say these franchises don't exist today
Mediocre.

It's playable. It's not good.
Best one in the series IMO.

garbo
waiting for sale. will tell you later
it was free on Epic
It's a bigger, 'better' Fallout 1 but I still prefer Fallout 1 for it's consistency. The Enclave are really lame compared to the Super Mutants.
Best game in the series, easily
absolutely loved it when i first played it 17 years ago, still love it now. god tier atmosphere and god tier soundtrack. oldschool fallouts take a fat shit all over bethesda
Too woke. There's a part where there is a long diatribe against Republicans. It felt out of place and preachy.
You can get raped by a mutant and people mock you for it. It's the furthest thing from woke.
That wasn't rape. It's the advertised consequence of losing a bet.
I don't know how to tell you but the whole franchise is woke. The enclave are supposed to be a
extreme version of republicans.
I know trolls say that new vegas is literally re.ddit: the game, but that title belongs to fallout 2.
>re.ddit: the game
That already belongs to your favorite game.
Enclave here, why isn't your video feed working?
It's a worse version of Fallout 1. Still good though.
worse one-time experience than fallout 1, but more replay value
beaten it so many fricking times
Did you like the EPA in restored content? I did.
Shame they didn't keep the vertibird option, originally you could fly to the rig.
Remember thinking it was all over the place, going from Modok to San Fran to Reno to Vault town. It’s funny how Bethesda fallouts get called “theme parks” with worlds that have no cohesion. 2 is the most egregious for this
The best fallout game. Improves on 1 in pretty much everyway.
I like it.
