How would this even work? There is so much text in Fallout 2 that it would be nearly impossible to voice act it all. Just reading the dialogue without voice acting always comes off as extremely awkward and amateur in Bethesda like games, too. That works far better in isometric games like BG, Fallout, and Wasteland where you aren't face to face with the character.

That'll still come off as pretty amateur. I think I'd still rather play the original game if this mod isn't extremely well done.

I'm just saying that it'll come off as a bit awkward when you're staring at some dude's face in first person and he isn't talking. That always slightly bugs me when I'm playing huge mods that attempt to remake old games.

Modders have extreme undiagnosed autism. The first idea that pops into their head they think they can make without too much effort because they're not devs themselves. They'll get wrapped up in another project soon and leave this one in the dust.
They're working on this for over 2 years now, i think it won't get abandoned but the release date might be veeery far away.
I think that they will release it but it'll be a weird, half baked novelty like those NV mods that tried to recreate the original games.
I'm not sure this would work, hell you'd have an easier time making New Vegas isometric and turn based. Seeing Vault City in first person would be cool.
