Bethesda had a hardon for shitty conditions when it comes to Fallout 4. They ignored the gunrunners lore that was in Fallout 1 so you're supposed to use these shitty pipe guns....yet in real life we've had much better looking firearms in the fricking 1890s.

It's not very easy to do, but you can. At the same time, the Nightkin in Repconn are a bunch of violent shitters who started splatting randos because their schizo vision friend told them to. Don't feel too bad about it.
and that leads you to meeting another ghoul. he's hiding in a big room full of traps he's set, trying to defend himself from the nightkin. he's blocking access to a terminal that will tell you where the shipment of stealth the nightkin look for is. he asks you to find out if his friend (lover i think?) is still alive. if you do as he says (or just brute force your way in) you can access the terminal and then tell the nightkin boss the shipment's location. he and his kind will then leave peacefully
if you set off the mines where the terminal is it can knock the boss nightkin's brahmin skull off the pedestal and cause them to go hostile

Any 3d fallout is steaming hot dogshit, straight out of bethesda and obsidian asses, who disregarded everything about original games, I wish we will never see another fricking fallout release in our lifetime.
FO4 is my favorite bethesda game. I find it the leave boring of the bunch. It has by far their best dialogue camera (regardless if you think the story sucks). Going back to npcs staring directly into your soul with dead eyes and never cutting away was a mistake.
