There is a difference between an RPG giving you shit loads of build options and for you to tweak as you please to a stealth game that is gimping you with absurd extra mechanics that have no positive effect on the game.
The entire healing , stamina and eating mechanics in MGS3 only serve to impede the player and the camo system, while good (and fixed with octocamo in MGS4) is completely clunky because of the menu crap.
Thing with eating and healing, it was clearly an early development mechanic that they wanted to implement as a way for the player to feel they are alone, OSP, and having to survive in the jungle, but the majority of the game is not even in the jungle and clearly they could not implement it how they wanted so it just became a tedious menu simulation (memory mini game for healing)
So much that it ruins the experience of the game.
They should have completely scrapped it.

You have to remember what kind of games are available at that time(java games and GBA for handhelds), touch screen and voice to interact with virtual dog is a head turning gimmick. and the models actually looked good.

actually I stopped playing Pokemon when my copy of Diamond was slow as shit. Only picked the games up again when I was dating a qt zoomer who lent me Pokemon Ultra Moon. Clover helped too. Repel system, postgame exploration, Audino, general FUN was why i had the most fun with BW out of all the mainline games. BW2 was even better.

Lost my shit at the second grappling hook, and lost it again at the beyblade dragon boss. Really fricking cool. The Epona fight against the Moblin rider on the bridge was turbo kino. Learning all the sword skills from the ancient hero was awesome, too bad the game's combat really doesn't give you a challenging fight to go all out. I fricking hate BOTW/TOTK. How can the sequel's animation look better? It's less fluid and you can barely distinguish between jogging and running other than the speed of the arm swing. There is also no impact to the animation.
I dont mind it, I want the game to respond when I press a button not lock me in an animation, which is what DD1 did. Also in DD1 you couldnt sprint with a weapon drawn, when you press it it would put your weapon away to do this animation, it was silly.
What if that was just the animation of the person moving from slow to faster walking animation? That doesnt look like the kind of dash as in the old DD.

How can the sequel's animation look better? It's less fluid and you can barely distinguish between jogging and running other than the speed of the arm swing. There is also no impact to the animation.
I dont mind it, I want the game to respond when I press a button not lock me in an animation, which is what DD1 did. Also in DD1 you couldnt sprint with a weapon drawn, when you press it it would put your weapon away to do this animation, it was silly.
