Make it so you can prone enemy players and carry them. If you can bring them to the princess while they are prone the princess will swallow them whole, get fatter, and the enemy has a slightly longer respawn
Fair. I guess I don't work in marketing, but I just can't imagine a game selling entirely on fanservice unless that's its pull (i.e. gachas).
Are there examples of any multiplayer games like Fat Princess that try to do that?
To some extent LoL & Overwatch are about that. Even as both are shit on and decline, people play and talk about them because of their character designs and skins, mostly for sex appeal.
Know what, that's a very fair point. I still feel like the gameplay loop keeps people coming back, but as you said the games are pretty shit by now and declining further. Being F2P might be their biggest benefit, no entry fee to get in so anyone can get hooked, and by marketing their characters and getting eyes on them, it just draws more in.
So yeah, I retract my original statement. OP go off, I want to see your fat fetish multiplayer game succeed. Be sure to make the ladies plenty hot, but obviously appealing to normies.
>sell entirely on fanservice
no they don't
look at the sea of all those shovelware games like anime hitler on steam >b-but they do sell if they keep making them
yeah like 50 copies so people can make ironic reviews for them
games selling on fanservice alone is a cope for prudes that don't understand that you can make a game that has sexy women and good gameplay
No, depth & balance is what makes things boring in the first place. It means there's a meta and then the game gets frustrating when your team doesn't play the meta correctly.
Should I make the game side-scroll, or top down. I finally learned modeling & animation and art. and I already know how to code games. Last part is just coming up with combat system.
For Honor but CTF. Also fetishes aside having the flag be a person that you can change to make carrying them back more difficult was a really cool idea. Maybe you can put your captive princess in armor which makes them heavier to carry but also lets the enemy team essentially use her as a shield without risking her life.
I think the complexity of the game coming from coordinated attacks instead of complicated mechanics is key. The game doesn't need tons of controls to be strategic.
I do have to wonder if there's a level of concern about being able to get away with it in this day and age. We're not that far removed from Fat Princess, but there's likely fear and lack of interest to creating a spiritual successor.
Same as original. It was perfect for the skirmishes it had even with the OP DLC classes and simple enough without going into boring shit territory.

Holy shit, you are right.
But also the vibrant environments, the menu design, the cartoon violence and the fact that it all doesn't blend together into a mess during a mess of a fight also just makes it very fricking great even today.
dork souls combat of course my dude
will that even be fun for CTF mode style play, and mages and shit?
of course not. that's why i recommend doing it
Likely copy magicka or gauntlet for top down games, dungeon defenders for third person, or Mordhau but even simpler for first person but with spells.
thanks now I know what to make. Dungeon defenders is a great ass idea.
Just make a game that appeals to my fetishes only.

Gameplay doesn't matter. Focus on fanservice.
Eh, i'd say gameplay does matter. People aren't going to are if it isn't at least fun to some extent.
I wish it worked that way but tons of mobile games and even some console/PC RPGs sell entirely on fanservice.

>Game about Fat Princesses
>Nary a fat art about the Fat Princesses
WHERE IS MY ART, I WAS PROMISED ART
fat princess is kind of just a moba you play with a controller. it's ok but it's sorta shallow and unbalanced.
that's what made it fun though? games are too sweaty now and days, I just want to play for fun.
yeah but without depth and balance things get boring quickly

check out King Arthurs Gold, felt that it was the closest to capturing this feel while adding on to the original formula

Something similar to Fat Princess

Panorama cotton
Is there any game like this? How is there no game like this?

Probably just way too niche.

I really love the visual style of this game.
It's nothing special but it just feels very comfy. The sounds were an amazing addition too.
Those eyes are straight out of Konjiki no Gash/Zatch Bell. Perfect for showing determination while remaining cutesy.
