I bought the PS2 collection back when and played them all back to back so they all kinda blur together for me, but I think it was one of the Real Bouts I liked the best, can't remember the actual one. But is also correct, Duck is the best and needs to be brought back for the new game.
It took SNK a good long while to figure out who would be their boxer. First it's Michael Max, then Axel Hawk, then (kind of) Franco Bash, then Rick Strowd, then finally Vanessa. And of those, Vanessa is cutest.
So it goes.
As for the new game, I really hope they remember to add in those characters that were on that old MoW2 spritesheet. I want to see what Joe's student is like.
>Motherfricking Vanessa replaced every single one of them
What is your fricking problem

>You can actually combo which you couldn't do in vanilla FF2 (This got fixed in Special) >Juggles >Every normal can cancel into a special move and/or another normal >Supers are slightly faster so you can combo into them >Bigger health bars
It's FF2 on steroids, there's a reason why every combo video on FF2 is always the genesis port.
FF3 is thw best realization of the series. It went back to the attempt at telling a plot like FF3, but done in a better way for a fighter. It fleshed out South Town with locations both cool and realistic. Its cast is a good mix of characters with arguably only whats his face the magic staff guy being the weirdo that doesn't really fit. The soundtrack is on point. Everything has a level of grit to it that makes it feel like a real street brawling experience. The Real Bout games are certainly good, but they also base a lot of things on 3 visually and mechanically, but also dropped a lot of the unique flavor just to compete with other fighters.
FF3 is cool because it's the first blue mary appearance, with original design before she got a makeover for Real Bout. She also plays very differently from RB with broken ass command throws with ludicrous inputs and her crouch-walk throw. Fun shit.

FF3 Mary's vertical arrow is an air throw that she can combo from a launcher while in KOF it's just a dragon punch antiair. You can dash into 360 command grab. Almost Sailor Uranus level.

Stop ignoring Real Bout 1, for frick's sake. I am not even a Fatal Fury fanboy like you but I've played hundreds hours of RB1.

I haven't played RB in ages, I distinctively remember FF3 Mary being the most risk-rewarding I'm certain they nerfed her crouch-crab walk throw. She only became less interesting over time.
Thats why I always liked 1 and 3, even if just from a presentation style. 3 especialy is unique since it has no kind of tournament type plot set up. You got your Rocky stand-in, you got your Jackie Chan stand-in, your psycho gangster villain, Sokaku feels kind of out of place, but then again he also feels like someone straight out of Big Trouble in Little China. South Town is just such a cool setting to.

>the same "kung fu movie" and "80s action movie" autist makes all these SNK threads >probably the same person as Yuri gay and Terry "real street fashion" gay
Can't make this shit up
New game is Motw gay shit, now with soulless current year 3D paint job. All the returning OG cast is going to be geezers or hags. Idgaf if its "technically the best playing of the series", Motw is shitty representation of the IP and even extending to Art of Fighting as well. Its just a generic ass KoF-lite/Street Fighter 3 with its roster.
Real Bout is Fatal Furys Street Fighter Alpha equivalent, as far as era they were released/competiting with each other. 3 could also be considered a part of that since Real Bout is mostly built off it.
Not really. Fatal Fury 3 sold like shit and was unpopular, so they made a quick crowd-pleaser with the FF3 assets and pushed it out in less than a year. It's a legit sequel to FF3, but they wanted to get away from the name.
Then Real Bout Special and Real Bout 2 were just riding the train.
I want to get excited but that doesn't remind me of Falta Fury, it looks like Garou pachinko fmv. I hope the actual game is good but I know it'll be more Garou instead of proper FF/RB
Are there any reverse KoF to FF oc characters that could be a good fit to the vibe of Fatal Fury? I feel like the American sports team guys would fit well in a Southtown setting.
For me it's Duck King.

Mai has a buoyant fatty.
Shuddup, Sybb.
Probably RB1 or Garou
I feel sorry for Rick Strowd from RB2. It's like he permanently fell into obscurity, and SNK refuses to acknowledge him. What happened
Vanessa
>Motherfricking Vanessa replaced every single one of them
What is your fricking problem

But capcom has both Balrog and Dudley, and plus Sagat and Adon.
>Vanessa
>cutest than Franco Bash
Heavy D bros why does no one remember us
RB2>MOTW>Special>RB1>3>Wild Ambition>>Rest.
That one that changes half the gameplay rules for no reason.
RB2 and MotW, but I wish I played more Special.
Fatal Fury 2, Fatal Fury Special, Rela Bout Special, Holy Trinity of Garou densetsu
>Fatal Fury 2
only the genesis version is worth it these days, for all the weird changes
I like the SNES port for the Elimination mode
>for all the weird changes
Elaborate.
He probably means the game plays really different from arcade. More broken iitc, you can do lots of crazy infinites easily.
>You can actually combo which you couldn't do in vanilla FF2 (This got fixed in Special)

this
also, optional "turbo" speed, and desperation moves are far easier to pull off
Garou and Dominated Mind.
The Saturn two CD Real Bout collection. It’s just fun and I grew up with it.
Oh, it's 80s action movie autist again
Are you the capcom fanboy who has a fear of Juggalos and hates any fighting game not made by heckin capcomerino
>capcom rent free
>juggalos out of nowhere
>fat weighs less than muscle
>Mai's ass is so fat it floats
FF3 or FFS. 3 has probably the best presentation of any 2D fighter
>3 has probably the best presentation of any 2D fighter
Far from it. FF3 looks kinda ass for a 1995 game.
nonsense, there are no other fighting games with background art on FF3's level
It's just standard neo geo stuff from that period, nothing special. A big improvement from FF2 though but that game is plain ugly.
Absolute horseshit.
I cant imagine being a fan of SNK and not also liking FF3s style. Its peak representation of them.
It's not even SNK's own peak, let alone the whole 2D fighting game genre.
>childhood: liking KoF and Garou
>adulthood: liking Real Bout and Sam Sho

Yamazaki, the elemental brothers, secret Geese fight and the stage intermissions feel like a kung fu movie.

They all are borderline kusoge.
Mai's ass is so fat it floats on its own?
Mai has a fat ass, lol
What do you think her cellulite game is like?
We will find out in the new game if its taking place after Motw.
For me it's Yuri
>but Fatal Fury...
It's the same continuity. I would've liked to see an older Yuri appear in one of the FFs at some point.
Is Yuri gay the same person as 80s action movie gay?
I mostly play RB2. I find it hard to stick to MOTW.

Agreed, Real Bout games are the true FF representation.
>All the returning OG cast is going to be geezers or hags.
the main ones like Terry, Andy, Joe and May are barely 35. Kim would be in the 40-45 range
Ryo is probably the only AoF character with real chances to be included and yes, he (like Robert and King) would be nearly 50
RB Special all day
I have no friends and I'm shit at 2D fighting games, what should I play?
guilty gear.
Okay so what's the fricking deal with Real Bout and Fatal Fury? Was it a reboot series?

Fatal Fury 3 is the most underrated Fatal Fury.
It's just not very good
It's fun, which is the most important part.
production values are nice but it has the worst roster and 3 lanes is nonsense
RB2 and MoTW. The new game looks like shit, the series deserves better.
>the series deserves better.
I'm just glad the series is alive again.
I want to get excited but that doesn't remind me of Falta Fury, it looks like Garou pachinko fmv. I hope the actual game is good but I know it'll be more Garou instead of proper FF/RB
SOVL
>your favorite Fatal Fury
Top Three:
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
Fatal Fury 3
Real Bout 2
In that order
>SOVL
You are a FG0T
For me it's Fatal Fury Special
Are there any reverse KoF to FF oc characters that could be a good fit to the vibe of Fatal Fury? I feel like the American sports team guys would fit well in a Southtown setting.
