They keep updating vermintide 2 I don't think darktide was ready they most likely released it because of contractual obligations

Vermintide 2 wasn't ready either. It was beyond unready - the core power scaling function was inoperative because Fatshark doesn't know what version control is. And, after some token release updates, they went silent and let it fester while they shit out a console port. Then, with their return, they feature creeped it to oblivion. Worst of all, shoving it out the door killed the first Vermintide which was actually fricking good at that point AND was moddable so you could cut the stupid fricking disenchant->reroll gear loop and have a good custom difficulty. I'm still irritated about it.

They buried the game when they went the route of custom characters.

I think it's already dying down might last another week after that it's definitely dropping a huge number of players but the dedicated mob will stick by

yeah I don't see it staying popular. The gameplay looks pretty bad.

I honestly loved Helldivers 1 on pc and was concerned about the second one because of the jump to third person. I will admit that the game looks fun and if they truly add mechs and vehicles i am on board with it

I swear these people are the most mentally challenged bunch.

People are not stopping to play Darktide because of the grind. People don't play it because you can finish all the missions relatively quickly and easily and there is no further content. There's nothing new for me to discover.

Secondly, anybody who wants the vermintide 2 loot system back is absolutely braindead. Nobody wants to grinds weeks for red items, are you fricking moronic? I can play 4 missions in dark tide and have enough currency to roll whatever traits and perks I want for pretty much BiS. Why the frick would I want to do 100 missions for a single red item like in vermintide? Are you insane?

Darktide just isn't that engaging that you can play it as a live service game. You have seen everything and you have all the base weapons at 377-380 with all the rolls you want, with all classes maxed out, in about 100 hours. And there's no reason to stay because there just isn't anything left to do. The only reason you could have a longer lasting playerbase is if the missions were procedurally generated and if better gear was harder to aquire.

      >better gear was harder to aquire.
spoken like a true autistic virgin. yeah go tell people who can barely crack heresy that the solution to the game is making the plasteel grind even worse. yes if you are a mega autist and you scour reddit and youtube for metabuilds, it's very easy to get a PS/plasma/shout vet to sleepwalk your way through auric maelstroms. this bullshit however is driving out newer players which is the reason why this game is going the way of VT2 so quickly.

Are you moronic? Everything you just said is backwards. No, you can't just "do 4 missions and get bis". Getting a bis weapon is nigh on impossible. I personally have 250 hours of gameplay and I don't have a single god rolled or even almost god rolled weapon. I have been trying to get power cycler 4 on a power sword for fricking weeks with no results. Maybe your argument makes sense if you consider a weapon with horribly rolled stats and 2 crafted perks to be bis.

They work maybe few months in the entire fricking year. They get back in late January from their winter holidays, need a month to "unwind and readjust", so they stop jacking off by mid February, then in June they are already mentally prepping for collective summer vacations, they return in September, and by late November they are already prepping for winter vacation. Fricking unreal.

Their justifications for using it at all, having your progression maxed by random cheaters and disrupting the cloud metagame, are really baffling. Both are really straightforward to prevent regardless of cheater actions with some deliberate design, e.g. a simple cap of what can be credited to a legitimate client account per game or to the metagame (no more than the amount of a normal game per period of the length of a normal game).

whatever helps you cope with the fact that shart-tide is dead. i knew it was going to suck before it even came out because Fartshart is incapable of making a good game and now they added live service israelitery to the mix.

and before anyone says HD2 is live service... kind of... barely. you have permanent battle passes you can grind at your leisure. there's no randomness except a daily rotating store with two armor sets at a time.

Neither Vermintide game is good either. Fatshark sucks.

I lost interest in the game because their stupid progression system made it near impossible to farm for specific builds. For someone like me who likes to mess around with many different ideas, it was insanely frustrating.

Vermintide was far from perfect, but at least there the odds were better (weapon stats were fixed and the amount of variance from weapon-to-weapon was much smaller).

Their lead gameplay programmer/director/whatever is a fricking idiot who thinks hiding information from the player and adding more RNG to progression makes it more engaging. When in fact it just makes me not want to bother playing at all because it becomes extremely clear that the game is disrespecting my time.

Oh no...its like everybody told the morons screaming "ITS FUN WITH FRIENDS ITS FUN WITH FRIENDS" every time Fatshark used their resources to nerf whatever people found popular in their PVE GAME that this would happen and they never listen. Surely thsi time the homosexuals from the /vg/ general won't come here to advertise fatsharks scams whenever they are on a sale. People said the same fricking thing when vermintide 2 and then darktide released.
