Joshua is a fricking moron. >HAH! I sealed Ultima! >Wait he's still out there doing shit anyway? >I'll uh... keep him inside me anyway even though it's killing me and accomplishing nothing. >Oops I died for no reason because there were 15 other Ultimas! Whoops! No wonder the seal wasn't fixing a fricking thing!
>he saved Clive which was basically his only concern.
Then he should have released him afterwards instead of spending the next 40 hours of cutscenes killing himself. >I'm pretty sure he knew it wasnt going to stop Ultima
Then why was he so intent on keeping him in there and why was he shocked at the end when they saw all the others?
>There's multiple ultimas, he just sealed one away.
Yes, that's what my post said. >as long as he was sealed away, he prevented them from unifying.
No he didn't, and this wasn't even his goal anyway as he didn't realize there were multiples until right at the last second in Origin, where the Ultima in his chest ripped itself out and reunited with the others. So killing himself literally accomplished nothing.

His goal was to save Clive when he absorbed Ultima
And then why did he continue to hold onto that Ultima for five years and kill himself over it? Because he thought there was only one Ultima and that he was winning by holding him. Even though everything still continued to go to shit and Ultima was clearly still doing whatever he wanted.
It was trying to escape and he was actively maintaining it, so yeah. And on the subject, how was it not a huge problem that he fused with Clive with Ultima inside him?

probably because him being locked inside Joshua, nulled his influence/power

>It was trying to escape and he was actively maintaining it
there has to be a plot reason that is being overlooked, Joshua is obviously not stupid.. maybe a bit naive
It is explained in the FFXVI Ultimania Guide (Japanese only) that goes into some untouched lore. After phoenix gate Joshua was in a coma for 5 years while the undying looked after him. Joshua presumes Clive to have been killed at phoenix gate but at the age of 20 he begins to hear rumors of a bearer that is a dominant of fire
That is understandable, however.
why did joshua avoid clive during the second timeskip? they even had a opportunity to meet in damahill but he ran away.
And even when they reunited again he doesn’t explain himself at all until meeting the undying where all he says is that they saved him, nothing about why he avoided clive after sealing ultima.
I'm only interested in this game because of fujobrain and all the Clive fanart I've seen but is it even good?
Like, is it even fun to play? Are the characters interesting?
It's a 6/10. Decent linear levels that are a DMC-lite. Horrendous filler MMO fetch quests and dead zones in between. Production values that go from ludicrous to PS3 tier. Story that gets more and more plot holes and contrived situations because of mentioned MMO filler. If it was a 10-hour easy action game with no filler it would be an easy 7 or 8 out of 10, but as it is it suffers greatly from ambition but no real talent behind it, just imitation and playing it safe.
the game has a good balance of when "open world" gets too tedious.. think Assassins creed and star"bore" quantity over quality. ffxvi has just enough filler to give you a break from the main story, but not to bore you to death with really bad mobilie quality grinding.
..too add on this allows them to focus on creating truly unforgettable characters and story. I went from this to Starfield and was immediately turned off, none of the characters in starfield feel anywhere near as life like as ffxvi brought its characters to life
Just because they dose it over time doesn't change the fact they're all pointless and dull, as well as sometimes insulting with their story content. The stoning in the arab "village" is horrendous, not in a good way. Let's not even go into the fact you never see any kind of interior space in the game apart from select few backdrop houses or levels, because that would mean actual work in making it believable and interesting.
the Bahamut fight makes up for all this; but again the side quest are short and simple but they all add to the story. linear is not a bad thing... when it creates epic boss fights and life like characters imo; everyone is so sucked up into this open world grinding BS... its gotten stale and old, in fact the last game to do it good was Oblivion
>Now! This is it! >Now is the time to choose! >Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow!
Now is the time to shape your stories! >Your fate is in your hands!

You honestly think Ultima would have just let him walk after freeing him? Are you moronic?
>Ultima might kill me if I let him go
>...so I have to keep him inside and let him kill me
>Ultima might kill me if I let him go
you're missing the point... Joshua wasnt concerned about himself, he was concerned about Clive.
I meant the entire game is literally about brotherhood ffs
Absolute moron.
There's multiple ultimas, he just sealed one away. But by doing this, as long as he was sealed away, he prevented them from unifying.
also he did it to save Clive anyways, and could he even let him out if he wanted to... that's not really touched on
>There's multiple ultimas, he just sealed one away.

Can he let Ultima out, in the 1st place?
It was trying to escape and he was actively maintaining it, so yeah. And on the subject, how was it not a huge problem that he fused with Clive with Ultima inside him?

Be nice, his mom raped him.
i was happy to see him die
both times absolutely destroyed me, and im not very emotional
What a nice kid. I hope nothing bad happens to him.
I'm not a shotacon but I found joshua to be really frickable.
He is so cute, but i would never lewd him
>hides from clive for years because ????
Joshua is a bonafide moron.

never thought a boy wearing essentially a dress would be so fricking precious and cute
For me, it's Steiner, head of the Knights of Pluto, layer of Beatrix.
Not gay but he got lean I kn I wud

yeah you be kinda mistaken their iykwim
not gay tho
if are saying you would frick a guy, that's pretty gay my guy
i need doujins with this feel
I really really hope one of the 2 DLC's gives us more young Joshua, it would be such a shame if he only ends up with like 30min of overall screen time
My favorite is Clive but I love the Rosfield bros from both generations.
t. Clive
goodnight, here is one last cute Joshua pic
Anabella best girl!
frick that b***h
No. If I were forced to marry my cousin at age 16 I'd behead him myself. And she gave us Joshua and Clive.
I dont understand the cousin part? But you're right she did indeed give us Joshua and Clive
>yoshitpBlack folk desperatly trying to make this dogshit game relevant
"ITs NoT TurNED BaSEd!!, WhERes TIfA abd CloUD!?" you idiots are the ones that sound really moronic
it would be so perfect to have a little brother like Joshua; Clive is so lucky
Roksanne

Its a life changing experience anon... do it The characters are incredible, and the gameplay is basically DMC.

All things aside FFXVI has a god tier OST

I’d still raise it to a 7 for it’s spectacle
Pretty much in the same camp as 15 for me, both have problems but in different direction
God I can't wait for the PC port.
Sold my PS5 because no games lol and this is the only game I miss from it. At least I beat it first.
me neither. i enjoyed the p5 version, but i cant wait to see this game with my 4090, and the mods...
>Favorite Final Fantasy character
My king of course.
He had a hard enough lot in life without you fricking pedos lusting over him
to make it very clear, I love him in a brother way.. 0 intent to lewd.. he is just that loveable tbh
Platonic love makes people's heads explode these days. They can't comprehend it.
