It's 100% fake. All the "leaks" were nonspecific, which is pretty damning considering it supposedly leaked from localisation. Seeing the amount of people who are ready to believe any old homosexual with some fake screenshots and vague handwaving has really crippled my faith in Humanity.
No way would they do yet another game where you summon legendary Fire Emblem heroes from different times and places after three or four years without a mainline game.

No. No one who played Melee knew who any of the FE characters were, and if smash made FE popular than the tellius duology should've sold well since Ike was in Brawl.

Melee made people wonder who these characters were and literally created the entire push for the games to come overseas because they were such popular characters in Smash. FE stays in Japan without their inclusion in Smash Bros. Melee is literally why FE became the popular series it was. There are numerous factors as to why FE9 didn't sell more, mostly the zero advertising and very low production numbers.
the only fire emblem game that I really like is path of radiance and I like it so much it's one of my top games and I'll replay it anytime. The stuff that started with awakening kind of lost me. I like path of radiance and ff tactics advance but I can't find much else in the genre to play
Awakening's basically the start of what fans call nu-FE where the devs put more focus on shipping and making the "avatar" character more prominent.
