The running fixed a lot of issues for me, but he did nerf some minor things, for example the Bremen soldier near the port to the right of the church no longer drops his armor, only the gun and ammo. So it's harder to get bremen armor.
Is this confirmed or are you just getting bad luck? Because I've had some runs in last patches where it would take 8-10 attempts to get the armor.
Just did the church basement post-patch. I like what Miro did with the crimson fathers, including making some of their ambushes faster. Stomping their snail heads feels good, too.

With the last patch. They're mostly just changed on the overworld. You can find them in both snail and man form. After you fight them, their heads try to get away from you, and you have to stomp them before they can get to a blood pool.

Once you figure out where you're going and what to do the RNG starts mattering a lot less, barring running around too much and running out of Mind healing items. But it isn't a game for everyone, either. Like personally, I'd recommend this game to no one, but I really enjoy it.

How do I git gud with Levi, its my first playthrouh and I did most endings in the first game?
I am always slower than other monsters and I can only defend myself with the Marksmanship I have with my rifle in the overworld, which sometimes doesnt even work since a bullet can just chop off an arm.
And if I ever get caught in a fight, I will never run faster than my ennemy and get either infected or have an arm chopped off.

I went with the assumption of the first game where Bow is pretty OP when you used it like its intended and while you avoid as much fight as possible. On my first run blind I got to the mayor without much trouble addicted but with Marksmanship.
Then got fricked when I didnt had any ammo left.
I guessed to myself, I could simply flee and keep the bullets for more dangerous monsters. I guess I was wrong.

I mean, sure it can help you in a fight but I guess its counter intuitive if you shoot a lot of bullets for then killing him instead of wasting one or two .303 caliber ammo on a single troublesome enemy.
For now, I gues the way I use Levi solo is really useless, so I will try your way and see how it goes.
Levi cant fricking shoot straight, I mean its fitting for an Ex-USSR child soldier addicted to opioids.
Bow is op because it lets you selectively delete some enemies with marksmanship with no downside except ammo. Heroin addiction is a game breaker, you're better off not bothering. If you really want a gun skill you can skip his intro, which makes you lose the 25hp potential but gives you a lugr, 10 bullets, and gunslinger which makes pistol rounds remove limbs on the overworld.
I'll try Gunslinger, Im still sad that I cant use Marksmanship to its full effect without being cucked by an heroin addiction...
Nothing in old town really requires marksmanship anyway. A lot of the villagers can be dealt with while taking 0 damage if you get a good weapon or get a second party member. Once you clear out the villagers and saw off their heads you should be able to get enough shards/stones to then learn your entire tree with a single sleep.
Oh nice to know, the issue for me is actually to recruit some people. It wasnt that hard in the first game for me since it was pretty much straight foward.

You're not even halfway. The game does get "harder" in how it is tuned but you should also be getting more allies which makes it actually easier because turn economy and a way to diffuse damage is immensely helpful. What is killing you exactly?
I "feel" like to progress I might have to steal that cube from cave dwelling people. That isn't a problem, but every time a crow mauler spawns at the exit. I'm not certain how to deal with him at all.
Maybe I haven't explored everything yet. There was a Salamander and a Winged Harpy Mommy fights that I just avoid now. Not what killing them does... if anything.

There is a rope near the traumatized child seeing both cavedwellers fricking in a tent, you can use it to then use an alternative exit straight Level 6 Mines where Blue Sin and the wolf masks are. The exit from there brings you to Level 7 catacombs.
Oh, I completely forgot about that area. Explored it once by jumping down and then killed myself going for the blue sword
You can get the sword if you have Passage of Ma'habre, its maybe the best sword since you can deal both physical and fire damage and the blade can be enhanced further with 4 soul gem to a cursed version.
Ignore the gnomes, talking to them has an option to stun them but you're better off skipping them. Rush the yellow mages before they blow your limbs off.
I pirated the game and played as Marcoh but I really can't justify going on a murder spree when all characters are known to be reasonable to an extent and not hostile.
If Tanaka becomes playable and I may buy it though.

You dont need to fight most of the stuff thrown at you, and if you have to fight. Just flee.
Also, sell the girl for a Claymore if you didnt got the crude sword from the Lizard fighter.

I don't think I've ever bothered with a claymore. You just don't need it for anything until you grab a full party and start doing the weapon collection before entering the city, at which point you'll end up with miasma, eastern sword, and depending on RNG blue sin, all of which mog claymore into oblivion.

You need to kill the Assassin's Ghost, immune to physical attack, so either you spend soul gems for cursed meat cleavers and gank him or you got lucky and you can cast a Black Orb.

Miro added Ballistic Shield (seems to be the shield the Bremen use) to random drops, pretty damn strong with 80% resistance to everything except otherworldly and with 4 defense

Thats what happened, and Crow Mauler is easy to beat when you Ragnvaldr with you tanking all the damage with War Cry and a the iron mask.

You dont really need to that, I prefer to gank the Assassin's Ghost with Cursed Meat Clevers, very cheap (one soul gem) and you can discard these meat cleavers for your orginal weapons like Miasma or a claymore.

Uh, don't get infected? There's nothing that can infect you by the time you have 2 good party members if you know the fights.

Hell, if you cripple and then talk to a yellow mage for the eclipse talisman and then get the cube, you can recruit Nas'hrah who always has spells.

Litterally impossible with his Mauler who infects you. Crow Mauler is very easy once you get him to focus a single guy like Rag, and you have everyone else focusing their attacks on his torso + throwing dart on the torso.

There is always Nas'hrah but once you get him you simply cant lose any fights, you just use pheromones on him and let him tank every damage known to man.

I usually use the 1 for blood portals, 1 for a meat clever, and 1 for loving whisper. Once I get Ragnvaldr, and recruit Enki. I finish off the Spectre quickly and let Rag be killed or nearly finished off then I sacrifice him and replace him with another one like the Girl or D'acre/Cahara.

Honestly, I really like when games just don't have a wiki / there's like jack shit for info there. It actually forces the player to figure things out themselves instead of just using a wiki to do everything for them.

pointed out, the reason these games got so much traction here is because of the lack of wiki. It makes us try things for ourselves, and encourages taking risks. However if you are so inclined in making an enemy page, you have to download the rpgmaker decrypter, follow instructions and it will give you all the sprites, images and sound effects. As to the enemy info every single one has their steal loot, normal loot, and talk options on the Troops section of the database. Also the enemy hp is calculated different for the torso, the limbs have the hp they point out on enemy section of the database, but the torso varies, either being reduced by a 75% in most cases, up to 50%. For example sneedles has 6000 hp, but his torso will die once it is at 60% or less of its total HP. So his torso actually ends up being 2400 HP, instead of the 6000 it says on the DB.
Here is a list with some info of the enemies I made, it isn't finished, not even close, but it has all of the basic info. Hope it helps you in case you actually go for it.

Any tips with dealing with those damn ghosts in the cavern mines? They don't seem to take damage from anything and it's hard to avoid them inside those tight tunnels
Cursed weapons or magic spells to kill them, you can just avoid them and run away from them. Which is the better way to deal with them. Ghost Knight though, thats a whole new beast to kill.
You dont need to kill ghost knight, just his armor, if you where the tomb near nosramus laboratory, you get to fight the armor, once destroyed every singl piece the ghost dies too. Its a dps rush, if you dont kill him by turn 2 the ghost arrives too and you will lose every single arm in your party
Blue sin, magic and cursed weapons are the only way to deal damage to ghosts. Honestly just run past them if you dont havy any of these, if crow mauler spawns at the other end, where you were supposed to go, tough luck pal.

You don't, unless you have enough raw power to bust open the door. There isn't a single one in the game that is mandatory to progress however.
How is F&H2 compared to 1? I somewhat liked 1 but dropped it near the end because by that point it became way to tedious and frustrating for me

Termina has no late game at all, but what you have is really fun, it is more forgiving, but not easier exactly. The start seems to be harder for some due to the sleeping mechanic, which discintivises you from saving.

Miro also seems to have changed the orphanage ghosts to take damage from regular attacks, accidentally forgot to unequip a spear and still hit it. As a matter of fact, this is great for maso. They respawn infinitely and get one shot, making them perfect for healing off of with leechmonger

The church is legit the hardest part of the maso run for me. I had more deaths to the crimson fathers than the mob, needless, deathmasks and any other enemy that isn't father hugo combined.
I didn't grab it this time but if you had Phermones and a ghoul you would be all set for the crimson Fathers. I think I'll just mischief of rats or just juke them.

And sadly, stuns doesn't prevent the mind control thing, tried with both MoR and red arc. And I believe Miro fixed shotguns so you can only 2 tap with the skill.
However I believe en garde and first spice make the turn count increase, which makes the snails skip mindcontrol, but Im not sure. If itr true, then first spice anything must be the way to go.
It doesn't skip, in fact it accelerates it. Which is why en garde is so shit, it will get you into fatal situations by prompting am early coin flip or mind control in exchange for.... a random hit to the legs or something.

Once you can level up his skills go for barefist proficiency, bob and weave, counter stance and adrenaline rush. Fast stance is bait, as you will already have access to an extra turn by the time you can learn new skills.
Only 2 endgame weapons are better than his fists.
Pickpocket (steal) is underrated IMO because you can steal some really useful things off of enemies. There are some enemies where you can steal over 5 rifle bullets from one enemy and that alone can get you a long way for some fights. Burglar (lockpicking) is really good as a newbie so you can explore more easily and learn more about the game in your first playthrough.
Footwork (+2 agility) is really good because of how game mechanics work, especially if you cap it out at 16 (the +2 makes it A LOT easier) but Stamina (+25 max HP) is also very appealing because it'll help you live longer.
Accuracy is nice because of bare-fisted proficiency, however if you lose an arm it kinda kills it. Defense is good because perfect guard can be immensely useful for the times when you do need it. I picked offense (adrenaline rush) on my first playthrough and compared to others, I'm not sure if it was that useful overall.
Escape with your sister. Escape Plan is more useful than Killing Intent. The only enemies that flee are the weaklings at the beginning of the game. They're also so easy that it doesn't even matter.

Fights on the overworld I meant, as in shooting enemies to death before they get to you, or damaging them before the normal fight begins.
Marcoh followed closely by O'saa, assuming that by combat you mean in an actual fight where not being able to use guns doesn't really matter.
