The characterization in Persona is so fricking lazy >RAMENRAMENRAMEN >CREPESCREPESCREPES >I'M STARVING >Ummm let's get serious guys stop goofing around >MEMESMEMESVIDEOGAMES >GARDENING
A focus on hobbies wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so vague. If you have a character just saying they like music a million times, that doesn't really mean anything at all. We don't see the specifics, the details of any of that.
My Japanese ex-gf was like this. She was thin but liked eating lots of sweets and bakery. She didn't want to make it a habit or else she'd get fat but I kept spoiling her since I loved her anyway. Also since they work so much, they can't help but just talk about getting food on their breaks most of the time.
Ironically, this feels more like a fantasy despite being very common in anime. Though the pressure to get paired up or get married in Japan is very much true else you're treated like an autistic otaku. I still want my Christmas Cake show though.
>"Strong" female character >Is afraid of dumb shit like ghosts
Why does Atlus do this? Why did they repeat the same trait 3 games in a row? Are they scared people will be intimidated or something?
She's an athlete so she has to eat alot to gain energy to do athletic stuff. it's not supposed to be sexy it's supposed to instill good values into the youth playing the game.

It's cute when they're thin.
It's hot when they're pudgy.
It's even hotter when they gain
