I remember I joined a guild (in WoW) that had a female RL. First raid, we were doing some boss, and people kept dying to aggro on the pull. So the tank say something dumb like, wait 5 seconds. So I say "just taunt the boss on pull", which would make it impossible to lose aggro no matter how moronic he was since, at least back then (I dunno if it still does this), taunt both fixated and gave like a 400% threat boost to the taunter while the debuff was active.
So then I get whispered by the RL going "please no negativity in raid". And it was decided that everyone needed to wait 5 seconds to do anything during the pull.
All my experiences with women have been like this. They never improve things, at best they perpetuate stagnation. At worst they actively make things worse, out of misguided efforts to make everyone happy. Well, at the absolute worst they destroy the guilds with inane backstabbing drama, but I've only heard stories about that not witnessed it directly. We have plenty of drama without them anyway.
Taunt has a CD and it is customary to wait several seconds on initial pull so the tank can build threat. Private server and wrath babies don't do this.
literally no downside to taunting on pull unless you're worried about taunt diminishing returns, it doesn't even have a GCD or a resource cost. it hasn't been "customary to wait several seconds on initial pull to let the tank build threat" outside of aoe situations since fricking vanilla and probably only then because people played like shit, wouldn't be surprised if they don't do this on classic servers. anyway, no wonder you think women don't make guilds worse if you're this stupid

Tank here, you don't want to use taunt ever on anything that isn't out of your reach in terms of aggro. Taunt is a "oh shit, I lost aggro" move to get it back. It will take whoever has the highest aggro, and you get on top of it for the duration while also increasing aggro caused by your moves.
In a group of mobs, you want to use your moves and keep taunt as a backup for that one tard warlock that pulls it off.
This was true in Vanilla and never changed mechanically.
