Can't bother maxing out even one DPS class considering their contribution feels inconsequential in basic roulette content especially when there's seven other people doing your job as well - not to mention you spend more time queuing than actually playing because for some reason everyone wants to play the red shirt role. Minor stuff like PvP mode, Manderville and housing are also largely inconsequential and you'd be better off playing a proper game focusing in any of those aspects.

I originally played FFXIV and then FFXIV a realm reborn. I forgot why I stopped initially playing. I vaguely remember not doing good enough in the coil of bahamut turn 3 or 4.
Lost that account, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I never played any of the expansions with it. I bought a new account and played it for about 3 during the launch of this new expansion. I enjoyed it but it just became too hard to find groups for savage raids. I like the game, but the playerbase is too autistic.
When Yoshi announce the graphics update, because there is no way I am going to be able to play the next expansion with my shit computer and forced me to upgrade my PC finally.

A retcon is when the new stuff conflicts with old stuff. The Ascians prior to ShB were unexplained cartoon villains that cackled for unknown reasons, so there's nothing to conflict with and they even tied it into the stray threads left by Lahabrea's meaningless rambling. Disneywars actually has retcons but that's the least of its problems.

There's nothing to do after finishing the story. You can idle in Ul'dah and ERP, or join some troony Discord to clear some of the harder bosses, and that's literally it.

I didn't. I log on almost everyday to craft stuff and make some gil, play with my static to progress through DSR, do some PvP to get the seasonal glamour and decorate my medium house little by little without putting to much effort. My only regret was not leaving WoW earlier for this game, I didn't like to do M+ or PVP to stay competitive in Mythic raiding, that was the only thing fun on that game.

I originally played FFXIV and then FFXIV a realm reborn. I forgot why I stopped initially playing. I vaguely remember not doing good enough in the coil of bahamut turn 3 or 4.
Lost that account, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I never played any of the expansions with it. I bought a new account and played it for about 3 during the launch of this new expansion. I enjoyed it but it just became too hard to find groups for savage raids. I like the game, but the playerbase is too autistic.

A retcon is when the new stuff conflicts with old stuff. The Ascians prior to ShB were unexplained cartoon villains that cackled for unknown reasons, so there's nothing to conflict with and they even tied it into the stray threads left by Lahabrea's meaningless rambling. Disneywars actually has retcons but that's the least of its problems.

There's nothing to do after finishing the story. You can idle in Ul'dah and ERP, or join some troony Discord to clear some of the harder bosses, and that's literally it.
I'll resub when there's meaningful singleplayer endgame content.

I didn't. I log on almost everyday to craft stuff and make some gil, play with my static to progress through DSR, do some PvP to get the seasonal glamour and decorate my medium house little by little without putting to much effort. My only regret was not leaving WoW earlier for this game, I didn't like to do M+ or PVP to stay competitive in Mythic raiding, that was the only thing fun on that game.
