I remember when the game came out, I didn't understand how the gambit system worked because I was moronic, I guess, but then I started experimenting with it and realized I could just go AFK, leave the game running so the characters could grind, and then come back with like +20 level ups. I know there is one section somewhat early on where you can just let the party find endless spawns of enemies, and there is another area on the airship that you can do that as well.
>Basch kills my brother for no reason >forced to add this guy to my party >absolutely hate him >don't give him equipment out of spite >turns out he didn't do any of that and has a twin brother >got worked by the propaganda into hating this cool dude
I can't believe I got tricked bros. Those bastards really made me believe he did it!
I just want the gambit system again, but with better ux and sets to quickly change between gambit/specs etc. the one thing I liked with ff13 is that I had the roles pattern, only need to set up 12 items in total and am set. Not these 50 items, 50 patterns, 50 abilities.
It's a top-tier JRPG, but it's even less of an FF game than any of the games that came out after it. Xenoblade ripped it off and tacked on more MMO shit.
>best Final Fantasy ever made, you cannot dispute this
Game kinda falls apart after Tomb of Raithwall tho.
Really like the world design though. Multiple different environments and locales that open up as the story progresses with mostly free reign. That kind of semi-open world is what every FF game should be.
But that aside, nobody really thinks selecting options in battle is the meat of RPG gameplay.
These games were always more about preparation and strategy, or grinding for brainlets.
Eh, I dunno. I enjoyed it a lot, but it can get grating at times. I actually think it might have TOO much side content, especially if you are a completionist autist. You'll spend 80% of the game running around all the other optional areas looking for summons and rare hunts rather than playing the main quest.
>all characters gambits on
Just go watch your favourite vtuber play through at this point
The biggest cope I ever read. Don't tell my you think linking materia in FFVII was also the game playing by itself.
Yeah it's great
i really wanna play it but it seems too long and i cant commit to long games....
It's surprisingly big for a PS2 game, but a lot of it is optional content.
Length isn't an issue, it being fricking boring is.
Marks and exploring are fun.
The actual quest got unique locations, but I guess it's underwhelming by itself.
You can tell that 12 was the best because of all the remakes, gaidens, antpksjad spinof- OH WAIT.
If only they remove the 2 unrelated kids and make Balthier the main character instead.
you're gay. Balthier wears slippers.
Vaan is the only common thread among the entire party, take him out and they'd never have a reason to meet up or give a shit about each other.
Lol lmao

confirmed for not paying attention.

That is true, but I don't like how you phrased it in a way that makes it seem like you are baiting for replies.
>Cerobi Steppe
Name a worse surface location in the game. Go on. Do it.
The fricking evil woods place
Desert kinda sucks. It's... well, a literal large pile of sand with hardly anything worth exploring.
I fricking hope you're talking about the Westersand and not the fricking Ogir-Yensa Sandsea.
WHICH evil woods place?
>I fricking hope you're talking about the Westersand
Yea
Then I respectfully disagree. Respectfully.
>surface location
Great Crystal.
Mazes can be fun though. It is also full of hidden shit, including 2 superbosses.
Lmao no. It has by far the most boring amount of fricking running back and forth bullshit I've ever seen since MGS Pal card homosexualry.
Weakest, most forgettable OST though. Its not even bad, its just has absolutely zero bangers unlike literally every other entry in the series.
The most branlet tier opinion I've read this year. I refuse to believe anyone can be this tasteless and dumb,

FFXII/ivalice alliance and VIII are the best FFs

best ever if you are a cuck maybe that likes watching the computer play the game for you.
Bro not everything is a cuck thing, you literally set the commands yourself

FF12 is a snoozefest. Legit fell asleep playing it.
