I'm trying so hard to like this game but it feels like a Kidz Bop interpretation of the story, all the dark moments feel like they're pulling their punches. So far only Cloud killing the guards at Gongaga felt schizo enough, but then Tifa got Pinocchio'ed into a Weapon and it just fell off again
Yuffie says that Tifa used to have a big crush on Cloud. When exactly is she referring to? Cloud only returned back recently as a "soldier." Tifa hasn't seen Cloud since the water tower episode. So is Yuffie suggesting that Tifa caught the lovebug before Cloud left to become a soldier?

Now here we have a great example of bad writing. Say you want to flesh out your characters or talk about stuff that didn't happen in the previous story. You can add things, but only if it doesn't contradict what came before. Yet in the original you have Tifa literally saying her first memories of Cloud were of that water tower night. When Cloud explains the stuff he remembers she admits "I guess we weren't really that close." Tifa doesn't even remember the time Cloud saved her from dying when they fell off the mountain, y'know the thing that made her dad mad at her supposed "friend" and forced him to stay away from her? You'd think her father would have told her why she should "stay away from that boy" but like I said in the last thread, the game was written by people who don't even understand the scenes and characters they wrote down.

Wasted 80 hours to platinum Remake
Done my first playthrough with Rebirth clocking in 110 hours, haven't even touched Hard mode or end game challenges.
Original FFVII is a few bucks and clocks in at 50 hours when 100% it.
